Benoit is the better choice as he place a babyface much better than Kurt. The problem there is that with all this 9/11 stuff they may chose to turn Kurt, but I doubt it. Last year, the WrestleMania match was very good, but the rest of their series left a little to be desired, and no one really gained from the fued. I doubt anyone will gain from this either, but the matches should be as good if not better, as Kurt is better than he was last year. One way or the other this should be a very interesting match.

I don't think Angle gains anything from beating Benoit...because Benoit has been used so oddly since his return. But if Benoit went over Angle and began a push to take on Brock...that could work. However, I would assume the long term plan is to get Angle up there at some point...so as I said... book meet corner
Guest goodhelmet Posted September 9, 2002 Report Posted September 9, 2002 well, benoit definitely needs the win more. the fed has had no problem jobbing either out but angle is so insanely over that a loss to the best wrestler in north america today would not kill his heat. plus, if they turn angle face then this would be the one time i could see them actually building up the heel for the babyface to eventually over (but not at unforgiven). either way, bring on the **** matches!

Guest Masked Heel Posted September 9, 2002 Report Posted September 9, 2002 This is a tough call and you have to look long term to get the answer i believe if its a one shot deal it could go either way as godhelmet said wwe has no problem jobbing either i too see Beniot getting the nod i feel he needs the win more Angle is comming off beating Ray Beniot comming off of losing to RVD if you want to hot shot Angle into a program with Brock or at least keep an underlying storyline going for Wrestlemania look for Brock to cost Kurt the match or if your intent is to turn Kurt face Beniot still goes over with dasterdly heel tactics either way the match will be great on its own i'd love to see it go off with no run ins even if Brock appears or just talks shit to Kurt after his match

Take two guys you absolutely REFUSE to push for whatever reason, and who desperately need a win, and book them AGAINST eachother so you can keep them away from the main events. GENIUS, I tells ya! At least the matches will be good.

Someone desperately wants to make Edge look credible. I love how they are catering to the "Hardy demographic". Edge is a pretty boy who needs workrate. On the bright side if Angle, Eddy, et al survive the heat vacuum known as Adam Copeland then you know they are semi-indestructable.

I am a huge Hart mark too. I think an old school grapplefest could get over. Problem is the powers that be don't want anyone but a Moose, a Zombie, an AArdvark, or a Pebble to be megaover. Bankruptcy will be a great release on creativity for vince.
