Alot of dislike for Edge I see. Poor Mr. Copeland-he's only trying to entertain. :D

Seriously, though I don't really have a problem with Edge's push as he is popular, and over, but I would prefer if he wasn't beating Eddy fucking Guerrero.

I guess Benoit is next, which means he'll need the win over Angle to get momentum so that Edge can take it and trip. I win.

No, I see Angle/Benoit turning into Angle/Benoit/Guerrero, because all three need a win, and in Steph World the logical thing to do is book them against each other

I don't have too much to complain about Edge but it seems like there's not enough commitment with him.

I don't hate on Edge. I liked him a lot. The problem is he destroys everyone he touchs. If his nose were bigger I'd call him "Mini H".

His dork act demeans his victims and in the end demeaning them makes his victories worthless.

Exactly.

~because that will make the "winner" "megaover".

(of course in the Big Stephverse "megaover"=Threat to Schnozz-1)

it boggles

Can't argue with that. :headbang:

Damn, I think you're gonna fry for that one. :(

Well, if they were going to elevate him off the first try it might have worked but now that it's past, he's not worth it.

Anyways, he works hard and is a decent worker.

Edge is obviously a "WWE Boy". He works their style well, and the bookers seem to like him. He does always work hard, which is nice, but I don't see him as a top guy. I mean his ring attire looks bad, he needs a change of attitude, and change his moveset to less Spears.

Exactly. I mean according to WWE we at this board must be the only people in the world who'd mark out like schoolgirls for n'sync if we were treated to a move/counter fest like Hitman/HBK would have put on without politics in their prime. Spears as used in WWEeee are boring.

Make the matches have flow and Logic again WWEeee.

I've figured out the best way to describe Edge. A quote from an ENORMOUSLY popular TV show.

"He's like King Midas in reverse. Everything he touches turns to shit"

Edge's whole act seems about 4 years old. The moves, the promos, the tights oh and that fucking jacket

Hopefully they won't overreach like they did in some of their Pay Per View matches. If they stick to the stuff Kurt knows, it could be a lot of fun.

What is the stuff Kurt knows? He seems to be more of the person that follows the leader and meshes with what they're doing, especially Benoit.

Jeezus, do you people live in a fantasy world or something ? I mean, seriously...

1. Benoit is not over. Benoit has never been over. Benoit never will be over. Do you honestly think the fans will care if Benoit beats Angle ? I know the fans will appreciate Kurt Angle beating Benoit by booing the hell out of him. But Benoit being Angle ? Who the hell cares !!

2. For the people who say that Benoit can beat Angle and go on to feud with Brock, are you friggin nuts ?! Maybe I just don't see the magic known as Benoit but I don't think a feud between the two could ever work. Just looking at the two, it looks like their styles don't mesh. Then we go to the fact that neither Benoit nor Brock are really over to begin with, plus the fact that they're both heels. Benoit and Brock will never have a feud and if I'm the only one who doesn't think it will work, so be it.

Say what you want about Edge, but I think, overall, he's a better wrestler than Benoit. Benoit's all about submissions and boring technical wrestling. I'm all for a technical match once in a while, but Benoit has absolutely no high impact moves besides the Flying Headbutt. At least Edge springs out moves in his match that get the fans to stand up and cheer. Benoit's moves are met with boredom, except from the smarks who just about wet their pants. Benoit knows how to do armbars and leglocks, granted. But he doesn't know how to get the fans excited into a match, which is one of the most important things needed.

Stop acting as if Benoit needs special treatment and a World Title run when he's even LESS over than Brock is and doesn't even use the high-impact, fan-responsive moves that Brock uses. Some of you are just so biased towards Benoit and it's getting pretty boring now....

Eh, the submission match was dead in the water before they even worked the thing. I knew WWE was going to overestimate their audience when they popped for the matwork at Wrestlemania. A WWE crowd isn't going to be conditioned to 30 minutes on the ground no matter how good the work is. Angle's out of place stalling didn't help, nor did the goofy comedy surrounding the feud.

Hopefully they just stick to the basics booking these two this time 'round. Basics is why their Wrestlemania match got over like it did in the first place.

And Benoit will have more leeway to lead as a heel so the pacing of the matches should be even better.

I have never read a bigger pile of shit in my life.

If this is a long-term fued, someone has to turn face. Benoit is the better choice as he place a babyface much better than Kurt. The problem there is that with all this 9/11 stuff they may chose to turn Kurt, but I doubt it.

T'is may not be long but it certainly is a pile of shit

Benoit has never been over?! Right, OK. I must have imagined his 2000/01 WWF/E run, the period when he was crazy over in WCW 98, and over in his ECW run and his whole career in Japan. I must have dreamed it.

Hmmm, It seems like your judging Benoit just on what he has done since his return. If you watch anything before that its clear Benoit knows how to excite a crowd.

Edge better than Benoit? Good one. What are you basing that on? All of Edge's "classic" matches?

2000, 2001 run, you say ? Well, let's see, if I recall, the one over match he had in 2000 was against the Rock at Fully Loaded. And that can be attributed to the fact that he had Shane McMahon as his manager, instead of being by himself. 2001 ? Do you mean when he and CHRIS JERICHO feuded with Steve Austin ? Because I know Benoit and Jericho were a team and fans went crazy for Jericho. But for Benoit ? Ha. If he were to march out by himself, basically nobody would care, unless we were talking about Canada. Over in his ECW run ? You mean ECW where ANYBODY can get over ? Where fans can respond to Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill in the same night ? And Japan is a whole new style of wrestling. When I say never been over, I mean to the effect in a major corporation like WWF or WCW. And for nearly his entire career in the Big Two, Benoit has not been over.

So Benoit's matches got big responses but that was because of either who he was fueding with, who his manager was or who is partner was, right? Nice one. Seems like someone is in denial.

Benoit was never over in WCW? That is simply incorrect. Try actually watching some of this stuff before posting this shit.

I think the point of the match will be to turn Kurt face. Benoit will go over with the finish being ala WM13.

Even if there isnt any point at least it is something to look forward to on the show.

I'm hoping the actual benefit of this feud will be months later when Angle goes over Lesnar at WM19 (that is the plan, right?) and since Benoit has a history with Angle, will be able to feud with him after Angle becomes the new mega-face who beat Brock. Then they can actually feud over something important like the Undisputed Title or the Other Undisputed Title (assuming the weekly roster-hopping continues it's not out of the question that the two could be on RAW post-WM).

Long term booking, baby.
