Guest alfdogg Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 This was from one of the Ross reports: An MRI revealed that Bob "Hardcore" Holly has a ruptured disc in his neck that will require surgery and will probably put Holly on the shelf for approximately six months. More info will be known later today or early this evening as Bob is down in San Antonio today consulting with Dr. Lloyd Youngbood about the situation. Apparently Bob had a preexisting injury that was aggravated in his match a couple of weeks ago with Brock Lesnar. Bobby is a tough S.O.B. and this is damn sure a back run of luck for him, but he will work through it, as always, and we will be ready for him when he gets back to 100 percent. I know Holly is not exactly loved by the SmartMark community, but really...nobody deserves that shit, especially over something like not selling or stiffing or whatever it was for. And of course, Brock will likely go unpunished...while D-Lo is still lucky to even get on Heat three years after the Droz incident. Fuck you, Vince.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I'd stiff someone back if they were hurting me. Holly should have learned a long time ago that the purpose of wrestling isn't to hurt the other guy. He's lucky it didn't happen sooner.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I really don't think that Brock meant to hurt Holly...he proabably didn't know how to handle the situation
Guest art_vandelay Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Well, from yesterday's Ross Report: Bob "Hardcore" Holly had neck fusion surgery yesterday in San Antonio with Dr. Lloyd Youngbood and is expected to be out of action up to one year, maybe shorter, according to the doctor. This intense athlete certainly deserves a break as it relates to injuries. The guy just can't get a break. EDIT: Actually, he DID get a "break." Get it? Hahaha
Guest bob_barron Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Bob Holly learned his lesson. Brock to Holly: HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 How is someone who hurts people and dangers people on PURPOSE respected by managment/wrestlers?
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Heh, I'd have loved to see Holly sandbag a guy like Vader... and people think Brock fucked Holly up, Vader would MURDER the poor bastard. But seriously though, while I do kinda feel bad for Bob, this "rough up the kids" crap that Vince reportedly puts the new people through is stupid. Hell, they may get away with it with the TE kids and some indy guys who don't know any better, but amateur champions like Lesnar and Angle? Shit, Vince ought to be happy shit like this didn't happen beforehand.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 They like to use him to "break in the new guys" Also... other than Taker...Who's been around longer than Holly?
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Billy Gunn. And I guess you can count Slaughter and Brooklyn Brawler, too.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 They like to use him to "break in the new guys" Also... other than Taker...Who's been around longer than Holly? Maybe Brookland Brawler or Billy Gunn?
Guest bob_barron Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Billy Gunn, aside from Taker, is the longest active wrestler in the WWF/E.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Another thing...why would Holly "break in" Brock if Brock was the champ?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Because that's what Holly does. He's like...the literal part of paying dues. The other is having to carry Edge
Guest bob_barron Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I don't think Holly was supposed to break in Brock. Holly tried to get cute with Brock and look what happened
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 What a dumb shit...who is going to win that match of strength?
Guest Anglesault Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Stupid Fuck. I left enough so that you don't know who I was referring to.
Guest bob_barron Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I think if they do Angle v. Brock at WM- Holly should run in and kick both their asses for injuring him and then as WM fades out he yells- HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW??
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 ...and then the mob of people would kill him...
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I think you'd be the only one...
Guest MrRant Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I would pay as well. I don't believe in "hazing" in either sports or wrestling. If I was Brock I would drop him too.
Guest alfdogg Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 How do you know it's hazing? Maybe it's just Holly's style to work stiff.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I wish they would have hurt each other and sent eaxh other away for six months.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 HAven't you watched Tough Enough 2?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I'm sorry, but as far as the WWE style and North American wrestling in general, working stiff just means they aren't capable of doing their job properly. If he wants to work that way let him go to Japan where they can make him his bitch instead of him walking around thinking he's a bad ass tough guy here. How's that neck, tough guy?
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Do you think that Holly isn't in the WWE's good books anymore for trying to roughup Brock?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I'm sure it will be all forgotten when he can return in a year
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 I don't want him to return...stiff working=injuries.
