Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Brock Lesnar is the WWE Champion, and HHH is the fake World Champion. Due to Brock's push and HHH's...politics~! OMG!...heels are the top guys on each show. Which means...heels have to win the main events. But heels can't win all of the matches, or fans would just be pissed off. This is why it sucks to be a midcard heel. Sorry Jericho, Lance and Christian...sorry Eddy and Chavo... Faces have to win sometimes. As long as the uppercard is predictable, so too will be the rest of the card. Which makes storylines and feuds really really boring.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Or they could just pull a WCW and have the heels win everything. We know how successful that was.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 I'm telling you, Triple Brock need to be relieved of their positions.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 I'm telling you, Triple Brock need to be relieved of their positions. At least Brock is tolerable because... you know he isn't in EVERY MOTHERFUCKING SEGMENT. HE SHOULD IMPROVED HIS "FRANCHISE KILLER" SCORE TO 3-0 BUT NOOOOOOOOO HEAVEN FORBID CALLOWAY LOSE A MOTHERFUCKING MATCH. HEAVEN FUCKING FORBID! FUCK YOU UT, FUCK YOU HHH! HHH really sucks too.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Ah, the "Legend Killer" act is boring too
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Ah, the "Legend Killer" act is boring too Not if you hate legends.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Brock is bearable because we know, if asked to, he would sell a for the ol' bag-o-popcorn to the head. HHH needs to be stopped. I wonder if he holds down his nieces and nephews during family outings to make sure he gets the attention he deserves.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Ah, the "Legend Killer" act is boring too Not if you hate legends. Yes, if you hate the legend killer.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Brock's main problem is he's rather bland in the ring and outside it. Paul E. is doing a lot to help correct that outside the ring, and the WWE should let him expand his in-ring style to be a bit more varied. Then he's fine by me.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Take the belt off him, have him return the big jobs, and hit restart.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 You keep saying that, and it's bullshit. Take belt off him at Armageddon, and give him a three month midcard feud ala Angle/Benoit from WM 17. No one detests Brock enough for a total restart.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 You keep saying that, and it's bullshit Exactly. Brock's Title reign would have been fine had they kept him on both shows, not made a 2nd world title and not made him look like a total pussy on several occasions.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 If you have it portarayed that Brock snaps after loing the ttile and goes back to his roots as a ameteur wrestler, he could make a FINE addition to the midcard.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 You keep saying that, and it's bullshit Exactly. Brock's Title reign would have been fine had they kept him on both shows, not made a 2nd world title and not made him look like a total pussy on several occasions. Oh, and had, say, ANYONE play the part of Brock.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 If you have it portarayed that Brock snaps after loing the ttile and goes back to his roots as a ameteur wrestler, he could make a FINE addition to the midcard. We saw that once before, he was called Kurt Angle. Brock has everything Kurt's got except mic skills, but he has the size to make up for it.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Yeah, well he's forced to wrestle like Goldberg and he's put against Jeff Hardy, Hogan, Rock, and Taker.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Pop Culture God does have a point. Brock hasn't faced anyone who is a workrate God yet, which is strange seeing that he is on Smackdown...
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Rock's best matches involve him overselling for 20 minutes, three hope spots, and a huge comeback. He's a good athlete, but he's no ring general.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Rock's best matches involve him overselling for 20 minutes, three hope spots, and a huge comeback. He's a good athlete, but he's no ring general. He managed to carry Brock to Brock's only good match, though. Pop Culture God does have a point. Brock hasn't faced anyone who is a workrate God yet But he has made the worst out of matches with average-below average people.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Eh, I'll reserve judgement until I see him in a match against Eddy, Benoit or Angle.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Eh, I'll reserve judgement until I see him in a match against Eddy, Benoit or Angle. I don't see why. What will that prove? That he's carryable? These matches are the ones that show Brock's talent.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 with Taker? Not even Angle or Benoit could get a match over *** stars with Underaker.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 But he has made the worst out of matches with average-below average people. He hasn't had a single match that was totally unwatchable yet. That is pretty damn impressive considering he's faced Test, and he's a big guy too. Brock did very well in that match. He didn't blow a single spot and he looked crisp, if a little bland. He even had the crowd behind him.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 I like the idea of Brock coming in and getting a push, being a new talent and all. I'm against the push being Goldberg like however. He shouldn't be in the main event scene yet. He got there too early. He should've worked his way up the ladder first. It's like, he was doing run-in's and smashing the midcard, and because of that he got to skip like 6 rungs on the ladder. As young as he is.. he could've been worked up like Bret Hart of HBK. Look how many years it took for them to get to the main event. I mean, Brock didn't have to start out in a tag team, but he should've at least went through the IC contenders in matches before winning the big title.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 with Taker? Not even Angle or Benoit could get a match over *** stars with Underaker. No. Cena, Chuck, Matt hardy, randy orton, Bob Holly. He hasn't had a single match that was totally unwatchable yet. That is pretty damn impressive considering he's faced Test, and he's a big guy too. Didn't like that match, any of his last seven matches, the First two RVD matches (Didn't see the third) and a host of others
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 John Cena sucks, so take his name off the list. Then again, Angle did make him look good, so I understand why you put it on there.. but you bitched about that when it happened, so now I'm just straight confused..
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 But AS were they UNWATCHABLE or just mediocre? Most people would save unwatchable for stuff like Test/Kane. Oh and since he can't have great matches with two totally green rookies he must be depushed right. The Bob Holly match ruled. He debuted the Ganso Bomb on American soil.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Cena match was CERTAINLY unwatchable. The others were just really bad. Oh and since he can't have great matches with two totally green rookies he must be depushed right Not great, but at the very least, good. (**1/2) The Bob Holly match ruled. He debuted the Ganso Bomb on American soil. Bob Holly wasn't cooperating, and Brock didn't know what to do. Don't ask me how dropping him on his head became a valid option.
