Brock was a rookie, Holly wasn't carrying his weight, and if you believe the dirtsheets, he was stiffing Brock. Remember, he always likes to stiff the rookies. Bottom line, I think Brock panicked.

I mean, a heel that loves to fuck with the face? Dammit, we need more heels that love to fuck with the faces! The last good one was HHH in his 2000 run.

But to the marks who watched it, including my little brother was watching with me, it looked like a ruthless attack on the neck. Not at all like the Kevin Nash/Giant debacle.

Remember the McMahon-Helmsley era? Every heel in the company who WASN'T in some way associated with Steph and HHH got no kind of push. They had Bossman-Bull, Big Show, D-X, Test, Albert, Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko, Saturn...everyone. I hate how the writers think no one can get over without a on-air "rub" from a McMahon.
