Guest snowfan Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Guys that you think are pretty good, but seem to be hated by the majority. Crash Holly and Val Venis are the only ones that really spring to mind immediately for me. Al Snow...
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 The majority keeps hating on Edge, but I enjoy his matches thoroughly. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest El Satanico Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 None really come to mind. The majority of the guys that people around truly hate actually are terrible.
Guest Banky Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Guys that you think are pretty good, but seem to be hated by the majority. Crash Holly and Val Venis are the only ones that really spring to mind immediately for me. I find both Crash and Val to be rather boring. Neither have anything to bring to the table, and don't do anything that sets them apart. If I was Vince, i'd start WWE cuts with these two. Guys who will never get over (because of past neglect) and will never amount to money.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 This is much harder. I'll say Tommy Dreamer because he always seems to entertain me somehow.
Guest razazteca Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Stevie Richards has been entertaining to me in the past few months.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Hmmmm, i'd say Jaimie Noble. He is really solid all-round, is has a talent for making others look good. He has a good grasp of psychology and has some impressive moves too. Yet, I dont hear to many good things said about him.
Guest Banky Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I've always liked Faarooq. He has always been a solid non-sucky variable for a big man. His tag match with Dvon against Rey and Edge showed he still has some life in him. I also, for one, enjoyed Triple H's bloody streetfights with Cactus Jack in RR and NWO. Most "smarts" bash those matches as being mindless drivel - but I like them.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Brock Lesnar is not nearly as bad as people say.
Guest Banky Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Brock Lesnar is not nearly as bad as people say. YES!! I totally forgot about him. I enjoy Lesnar's work and I see great things for him. He definatly gets an unnecessary rep because of his ridiculous push. Lesnar definatly tops the charts.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I'm not going to mention people like Tommy Dreamer and Ricahrds because I think everyone realizes they're not bad workers, it's just that they aren't ever focal points, so their work doesn't get brought up too much. Mark Henry Kane Albert Test (I don't like him, but I don't think he's as bad as other think) Faarooq Godfather Not that these guys are Jewish Thunder Driver in the ring.
Guest alfdogg Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I agree that Crash will in all likelihood never draw money, I just enjoy his matches, he seems to be able to adapt to just about any style. Val, to me, had everything it took to be a big star, but got saddled with a stupid gimmick and it was all ruined. I don't know how much, if any time is left to save him.
Guest snowfan Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Brock Lesnar is not nearly as bad as people say. I forgot about him too. Lesnar is growing by leaps and bounds.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Crash has loads of charisma and has the best body mannerisms in the company. He's still pretty over (though not very) for a guy that hasn't done anything AT ALL for around three years.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Lesnar showed me that he can bump like a champ during the RVD program, and both of them came out looking good from it, sez I. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge

He makes the Big Show look like Mitsahuru FUCKING Misawa. No offense to your taste of course.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Mark Henry Kane Albert Test (I don't like him, but I don't think he's as bad as other think) Faarooq Godfather No offense, but all those guys (especially Henry and Godfather) are the pits.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Henry, Albert and Godfather?? ...the hell are you smoking and where can i buy some.
Guest RedJed Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 For all the bitching about him, I don't think Test is half as bad as people make him out to be. He works hard most of the time and has even had a few really memorable matches once in awhile. Hell, him and Shane McMahon in Shane's second match ever really was good considering they were both rookies.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Test is like Luger... The Potential is there, but it doesn't look like he will ever get close to living up to it. Test's biggest problem is that he has poor mic skills and ZERO charisma to go with his mediocre ability.
Guest RedJed Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Test is like Luger... The Potential is there, but it doesn't look like he will ever get close to living up to it. Test's biggest problem is that he has poor mic skills and ZERO charisma to go with his mediocre ability. It's hard to take him seriously as a heel, I know that much. Probably has more to do with his lack of charisma than anything.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 He misses his big boot about half the time and no matter how many moves he uses...he doesn't use them for any particular reason. He's been around for what? Going on 4 years now? I have yet to see him intentionally wear down or work over his opponent for any reason...ever.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I also, for one, enjoyed Triple H's bloody streetfights with Cactus Jack in RR and NWO. Most "smarts" bash those matches as being mindless drivel - but I like them. Who bashed the HHH-Catus Jack matches from 2000? They where almost universally praised has being 2 of the best brawls ever in the WWF.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Mark Henry Kane Albert Test (I don't like him, but I don't think he's as bad as other think) Faarooq Godfather No offense, but all those guys (especially Henry and Godfather) are the pits. Godfather once hit Val Venis with the mcirophone and the microphone spiraled out of control into the crowd. I didn't say those guys were good, but they're not as bad as people say. If people would be more reasonable, then I wouldn't have listed them. I actually like most Henry matches, and Faarooq and Albert matches are a tossup. BTW, it was so cool you said they were "the pits"...that made me laugh, I haven't heard that in years. Dude, did you say Mark Henry? He makes the Big Show look like Mitsahuru FUCKING Misawa. No offense to your taste of course. The Chocolate Moose is an awesome move. Plus he has lightyears of charisma...Sexual Chocolate needs to come back without Mae Young or Chyna or anybody. And I think he blows the Big Show away, honestly. I just wish he kept all that weight off. Are they telling him to lose it again? Because it took him like three years, and then they tell him to get fat again so he can reaffirm himself as World's Strongest Man. I'd really like to see him burn rubber in the ring at 320 or so. Vroom!
Guest Tim Cooke Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 - Rock: He is not a great worker by any means but he is game for his matches and willing to work with anyone. - Jamie Noble: The 3rd best worker in WWE and probably would be number 2 if he was allowed to show more. He has shown better stuff in previous matches than current #2 Kurt Angle is. Tim
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I think Test is pretty charismatic and a pretty good talker, it just never shows up to the ring or when he's cutting a promo. He always needs someone to play off of. Him and Booker were pretty funny together and I almost died during the aborted ladykiller gimmick when he called Jeff Hardy "Lance Romance." But when he's in the ring, he tries to act all tough and no-nonsense and the fans say "Bah!" And he can't cut promos...like I said, he can talk and interact in a skit, but he can't cut a decent promo, which is what really counts.
Guest Banky Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Who bashed the HHH-Catus Jack matches from 2000? They where almost universally praised has being 2 of the best brawls ever in the WWF. I am talking about people who like Puro, Old School, Indies, ect... Most of those people think that those matches, as well as Triple H's work that yera are overated. I can see how they may not like his matches with the Rock, but I did really enjoy the ones with Cactus. While I'm at it, I'll venture to say I enjoyed his match with Austin at NoWayOut01. Though saying that would make me uncool with the workrate purists.
