Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Will the WWE ever push the guy? Not to say that he deserves it at all, he's lucky to be where he is and how he got there. The guy really brings nothing much to the table. Thing is, though, he's there. He's a lot like the old Rock, but he sucks much worse. WWE shows signs of things to come for Nowinski all the time, but Maven never seems to get anything resembling a program. Do you think he'll ever break the mold and do something in the wrestling business? Is he marketable, and can he be decent in the ring? What do you think the future holds for the guy?
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Josh Matthews should of win TE 1. And why isnt Matthews wrestling?
Guest Choken One Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 He won't be any worse then what they already got, He has room to improve, but He has charisma unlike some WWE workers which gives him a advantage. Is he Rock Material? No, I don't see it yet, I don't see Maven becoming a Hollywood Diva like Dewayne Johnson. By the Way, What IS Maven's name?
Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 I didn't ask you who should have won Tough Enough I. I want to know your thoughts and everyone else's on what the WWE may do with a guy like Maven who is just kind of there. I don't think he's on Justin Credible or Buchanan levels of unbpushable, but he just doesn't seem to have done anything as far as improving in a while and he never gets any time on the stick.. What the hell is going on with him?
Guest Choken One Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Josh Matthews should of win TE 1. And why isnt Matthews wrestling? He does sometimes in Dark Matches, but I think he is better served as a Announcer/ Commentator. If you look at it, Alot of TE1 cast members have some sort of job with WWE. Maven, Nidia, Josh, Nowinski, Jessy and maybe another one.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 By the Way, What IS Maven's name? Maven Huffman
Guest Choken One Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 By the Way, What IS Maven's name? Maven Huffman Wow. Good Booking move there. I can't support Maven Huffman. Seriously, who names their kid MAVEN?
Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 This thread got shot to hell....
Guest Banky Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Tough Enough is more for ratings than for producing actual wrestling talent. Maven, Gayda, Miles, Jon, and Matt will have no major role in the company. I know, I am sad too.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Maven; 1. Sucks 2. Is not tall/fat/roid addled He will never get any kind of anything, ever.
Guest Super Pissed Smark Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Not a hell of a lot. Sorry.
Guest RedJed Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 The guy was super-over when they first brought him in after TE1......remember when he was in a few Smackdown main events even? And the thing was he even looked pretty decent in the ring for being just out of "training" and etc. I remember that he basically kept improving from match to match. I think they made a mistake by putting him over on Raw when he returned (NOBODY really gets over on that show), as he was being used just fine over on Smackdown, and was even being penciled to having Torrie manage him. I think there is still hope for him down the road, if creative improves, but right now it's not looking too good. He's a got charisma, thats for sure. And the workrate/gift of gab can be always worked upon.
Guest Mole Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 He needs to work on his moveset before he gets anywhere.
Guest Si82 Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Josh Matthews should of win TE 1. And why isnt Matthews wrestling? He does sometimes in Dark Matches, but I think he is better served as a Announcer/ Commentator. Surely you jest. I cannot stand his bloody afwul backstage interviews. He is so incredibly wooden that you would probably get splinters from the guy. Take a look at any of his interviews and you'll see what I mean. As for his commentation (with Ernest Miller of all people) it's like listing to Michael Cole Jr. (or mini-bitch if you prefere) on Velocity every week.

And he looks short and skinny compared to the actual wrestlers.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Maven should join D-Lo's Nation!
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Maven should join D-Lo's Nation! Then we will find out once and for all who is the whitest black man in the world today.
Guest Bling-Bling Buchanan Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Can't forget about The Coach then.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Can't forget about The Coach then. Coach is black??? Holy crap!!!!!
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Josh Matthews should of win TE 1. And why isnt Matthews wrestling? Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Wait, she is employed now? I swear they are picking up everyone except Taylor. I thought she could have been just as good as Nidia at least.
Guest Choken One Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 I thought Someone said something about Taylor being a Stripper nowadays?
Guest ShooterJay Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Taylor wrestles, she did a tour of Japan for ARSION a few months ago and works Pacific Coast indies I think. Nidia was originally a stripper. Don't forget Greg from TE1, he wrestles for CZW, and while he started off slow and clumsy like the other TE grads he improved and became a passable power wrestler. He does show a lot of charisma, and he and the Rockin' Rebel are the most over heel tag team in CZW besides the Backseat Boyz (who get 50/50 face pops nowadays)
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Maven should join D-Lo's Nation! Then we will find out once and for all who is the whitest black man in the world today. That's pretty easy to answer... it's Colin Powell, DUH!

We'd have to see how DLo/Maven/Coach's hair is to know for sure.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Remember...THE MAVEKICK~! Sorry, but it was awesome after he eliminated UT from the RR, you'd see mini cliches pop-up calling Maven God and whatnot.
Guest Gathering Moss Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Taylor does indeed wrestle for ARSION in Japan. She's a member of a stable of American wrestlers along with Cheerleader Melissa and Bionic J, who I believe was trained by Al Snow. I'm almost positive that she's dating Spanky now.
Guest razazteca Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Maven has no future other than working with fellow TE "winners" If Maven is going anywhere on Raw than he must develop a credible finisher and it better not be a damn Super Dropkick.
Guest JMA Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Maven is mixed so I don't think he would fit in with D-Lo's current thing. It would kinda be like self-hate. But, then again, Rock was in the Nation and he is mixed as well.
