Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Hennig released from contract Curt Hennig, who portrayed the character of Mr. Perfect in WWE, has been released from his contract. WWE wishes him the best in the future. -------- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, HENNIG MUST OF CUT THE MULLET!!!!!!!!!
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 This is the first time, in a LOOOOOOOONG time, that I'm actually interested to hear what Jim Ross says in the Ross Report.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Bob Barron- a huge Mr. P mark
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Oh damn, Hennig was always one of my favourite wrestlers, and it seems a bit harsh if he got fired for cutting an out of date hairstyle!
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Man, this is terrible. I use to mark for him as Mr.Perfect every single day. He was rather slow in the ring, but he could put on a decent match for his age. He was also in damn good shape, it looked like he didn't change in the last ten years since he was last in the WWF. On a side note: He is SUPPOSED to appear on Heat this Sunday. I wonder if they will cut off the match vs Jeff Hardy? If not, theres your last chance to see him in the WWF uniform.
Guest converge241 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Explain this to me: if guys like Mr. Perfect are being reprimanded for their actions on this infamous flight back home, why not punish the writing staff for what they did on that flight, too? How are their "actions" any less embarassing to the company? wow! speak of the devil. can we magically request other names and they'll be fired? uhh Big Show was a disturbance Mark henry made it onto the plane and was having sex w/ everyone Vince was causing some trouble as well..yeah.. thats the ticket (( come on work damnit work!!!)
Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Well, that sucks. It's a shame to see him go, even if he did get in trouble recently. He was never really used to his potential...
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Well, he can go back to XWF now and be in the promotion again or go to Jarrett's new promotion.
Guest Tony149 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Too bad he got fired, but Vince never had any serious plans for him anyway. I see him signing with the Jarretts NWA because they have PPV.
Guest Luke Michael Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Well one good thing can happen because of this...Curt Hennig can return to the XWF and give them more star power to get a tv deal.
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Wiat a second. Did he REALLY cut the mullett off Dok Hendrix? I know it's not his real name but it's funnier to call him that.
Guest Some Guy Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 WTF is going on here? Is there a curse on the Raw show? This sucks I like Scott Hall and he fucks up and gets fired and I like Mr. Perfect and he gets fired for apparently a rib on an off camera guy. WTF?
Guest Tony149 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 More on Hennig getting fired. This was on 1wrestling. MORE PLANE, HENNIG FIRING DETAILS by Dave Scherer Updated: 5/8/2002 12:25:51 PM More information is now available on the firing of Curt Hennig. The final straw took place on the flight home from the UK when he reportedly got into it with Brock Lesnar and the two fought. I have heard from numerous sources that Hennig instigated the fight, and that Paul Heyman did his best to calm Lesnar down. David Hernandez sent word that Hulk Hogan was on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show and said that HHH tried to break up the fight and all three fell into the emergency exit door. According to Hogan, it almost opened in mid-flight, which obviously would have been disastrous. When I first reported on Monday that I heard crazy things happened on the plane ride, I had no idea how crazy they actually were. This tour sure makes it look as if WWE is, at least partially, losing control of their company.

This sucks I like Scott Hall and he fucks up and gets fired and I like Mr. Perfect and he gets fired for apparently a rib on an off camera guy. WTF? I want to know why Hennig and Hall get fired but Bradshaw didn't. He's told guys he was going to rape them but doesn't get fired??

I want to know why Hennig and Hall get fired but Bradshaw didn't. He's told guys he was going to rape them but doesn't get fired?? LOL. You know...I had heard the rape story before but never actually heard who was behind it...and I always kinda figured that they were talking about Bradshaw...him or Albert. I dunno why. As for Hennig...maybe I'm a little biased towards him cuz he was my fav when I was a little kid, but if he was released for getting in a fight, that's bullshit. I'm sure there are people in the WWF that have done much worse...and what about Lesnar? What kinda punishment does he get?
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 When I first reported on Monday that I heard crazy things happened on the plane ride, I had no idea how crazy they actually were. This tour sure makes it look as if WWE is, at least partially, losing control of their company. Vince is definitely losing his grip on the wrestlers. He's too bloated from all of his damn billions and too lazy to do anything about it. If he doesn't snap out of it, he could literally lose control of the locker room, and everything could come crashing down on him......
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 What's this Bradshaw/Rape story? I never caught that one....

Guest papacita Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 What's this Bradshaw/Rape story? I never caught that one.... Apparently it was one of those hazing things. They caught somebody in the shower and said they were gonna rape him. From what I heard he had the guy crying...but then again I'm never good with the backstage stuff, so I could be wrong.
Guest Choken One Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Brock is not punished because he did not start the fight. It was Curt Henning. Whom deserves to to be fired if really is stupid enough to try to get in a fight with an 24 year old monster whom is triple his size and for cutting off one of the road agents hair.
Guest papacita Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I misread the part where they said Hennig instigated the fight, so forget what I said about Brock. I still think the firing was a little harsh though.

From what I heard he had the guy crying...but then again I'm never good with the backstage stuff, so I could be wrong. so everyone (for the most part) thinks bradshaw was the baby oil bastard..and there was a lot of fun about that when that broke, who was the "intended" in anybody's estimation? Myself, i have no idea..i dont even think Bradshaw was the culprit, I just think that his name was branded about so much during the hazing newsbreak that he got amalgamated to all stories..you have to wonder who fits the bill for the re-enactment of an OZ scene...
Guest Choken One Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Bradshaw seems like the guy but maybe it was his partner or Albert or how about this...WHO GIVES A GOD DAMN!
Guest converge241 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 how about this...WHO GIVES A GOD DAMN! probably the people discussing it nahn
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Do we know that anyone threatened to rape anyone. The source is a fired ref.
Guest converge241 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Do we know that anyone threatened to rape anyone. The source is a fired ref. to qoute phil magera "now thats just ridiculous". seriously , 90% of the stuff talked about nobody has any idea of the validity, you just have to comment on it in the context of pretending it is fact.. i take very little of the rumors/or assumptions as true..but can still comment/joke on 'em. I dont believe the red ball is red until i see it
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 There are 2 ways that I look at this. 1. oh well...its not like he was ever on tv anyway. at least not REAL tv. And he hasn't really looked good since his return. 2. Despite not looking good...Perfect STILL would have been one of the best wrestlers on that pitiful Raw show. The WWE blows another one. Or something.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 According to the Torch Perfect was being a dick on other flights so it wasn't like he got fired on his first offence.
