Guest notJames Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Hennig's fight with Lesnar looks like the last straw in a string of supposed ill-advised behaviour. He's been known to show up on TV three sheets to the wind (especially that one appearance at WWF NY -- he looked drunker than Scott Hall at Mardi Gras), and besides, he wasn't being used too much anyway. I for one would have been happy had he never been hired in the first place. But of course, Vince had to throw his money around to get him just so the XWF couldn't have him. Good thinking, Mr. McMahon. Idiot.
Guest bcu1979 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I was a big Mr. Perfect fan as well during his first WWF run. But I don't understand all the disappointment over his firing. The guy seemed completely bored and out of place everytime they put him on tv. Yeah, it's hard to get excited when you're teaming with Bossman or jobbing to Kane in 3 minutes. But they even gave Perfect a main event RAW match against Austin and he still put forth no effort or even tried to appear interested in being there.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I read earlier that the Hennig/Lesnar fight started when Hennig claimed he was a better amateur wrestler. I've never seen Hennig greco roman anyone, but a friend showed me a home video he got of some of Brocks college stuff...let's just say Hennig is insane.

Well I'm dissappointed with Hennig getting fired cuz like I siad, he was my fav when I was little, and plus it always seems like something bad happens to everybody I like in WWF...E...you know. It's more of a personal bias than anything else.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 hall's gone henning's gone DDP's retireing IT's THE CURSE OF THE US CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
Guest griffinmills Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I hope WWE memory holds this most recent Mr. Perfect comeback so that, in the future, he could get another actual "Perfect" run. I guess he was nothing more than fodder though.
Guest Rick001 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Perfect had no plot, and no story line. Austin refused to job to him and Hall was a question mark from the start since you can hardly understand a word this guy says. Maybe they can sign Scott Stiener to take his place.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! WHY GOD???????? WHY???????????? SON OF A BITCH-TWAT ASS-DOUCHE!!!!!!!!!!!! DIE VINCE DIE!!!!!!!!!! (sob) I don't give a rat's ass how involved in the storylines Hennig was. There are a lot of fans like myself for whom the highlight of Raw was seeing him, even if it was just a job every week. AND Hall got fired. Did I run over Vince's puppy or something? (I know this post wasn't full of content, but I had to vent.)
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 When I first reported on Monday that I heard crazy things happened on the plane ride, I had no idea how crazy they actually were. This tour sure makes it look as if WWE is, at least partially, losing control of their company. Vince is definitely losing his grip on the wrestlers. He's too bloated from all of his damn billions and too lazy to do anything about it. If he doesn't snap out of it, he could literally lose control of the locker room, and everything could come crashing down on him...... Hmmm... Hogan comes in, HHH gets and loses title, locker room goes bad? No way... anyway, that's off topic. I really like Perfect, but if he's not going to act professionally and instigate fights, then I must say he deserved it. Unlike Hall, this is totally his fault. However, I'm sure some of his ill-will could be due to the fact that the WWF ('cuz that's what they were called back in those days) showed such initial promise for him by keeping him in the final four of the Royal Rumble, and then threw that all away by demoting him to Metal/HeAT tag-team jobber with the exception of a couple JTTS appearances on RAW. That's still no excuse though.
Guest Smeghead Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Looks like Heat will have very little wrestling this week. They only taped three matches, one of which was Matt Hardy vs. Mr. Perfect. I doubt that they'll give the guy any TV time after firing him. So here's your Heat lineup, folks: RVD vs. Goldust Eddy Guerrero vs. Tommy Dreamer ...and that's it. While they both look promising, it's still only two matches. Why the hell would they put Hennig (and Hall for that matter) on TV when they were thinking of firing them? Methinks the writers need some punishment as well.

Guest Smeghead Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Well, they did job Hennig. (I guess I can spoil it since it likely won't be televised.) But the nWo came out on top on Monday night.
