Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 ***VELOCITY*** Michael Cole and Tazz are the announce team. WWE Tag Team Championship - Billy and Chuck w/ Rico beat Mark Henry and Randy Orton via Gunn's fameasser on Henry. Kurt Angle beat Hardcore Holly via rollup holding the ropes. Mae Young and Fabulous Moolah come to the ring, salute the fans and leave. Chimmel plugged Moolah's book coming out August 6th. Jamie Knoble w/ Nidia beat Funaki via reverse figure four submission. For those who are wondering, Knoble wore blue jean shorts to the ring and not his "mini Benoit" pants. Rikishi beat Albert via bonzai drop. ***SMACKDOWN*** Michael Cole and Tazz are the announce team. Smackdown opens up with a table in the ring with two chairs surrounded by lots of security. Vince McMahon comes to the ring and stands on top of the table with a mic in hand. Vince says their will be an official contract signing for the WWE championship which will take place at King of the Ring. Vince calls out Undertaker and Triple H. Undertaker sits down and signs the contract. Triple H throws his chair out of the ring and signs the contract. Vince walks up the ramp as Triple H and Undertaker stare at each other. Triple H sticks his finger in Undertaker's face. The security pull Triple H back. Undertaker jumps off the table on Triple H in the corner, held back by security. Undertaker throws Triple H out of the ring. Triple H sends Undertaker into the ring steps. Triple H pulls out his sledgehammer and Undertaker runs up the ramp. Triple H destroys the table with the sledgehammer. Triple H gets on the mic and tells Vince to get Undertaker back out there or he will not leave the ring. Triple H gives the pedigree to one of the security guys. -commercial- Billy, Chuck, and Rico come out to the top of the stage with chairs in hand. They ask Triple H what he is doing in the ring since Rico has a match with Rikishi right now. Triple H tells Gunn that he is glad that he and his partner have found a whole new meaning to the phrase "suck it". Gunn rushes the ring and gets sent out with a sledgehammer shot. Billy, Chuck, and Rico walk to the back. Triple H tells Vince he is tired of waiting. If he does not send Undertaker down there right now or there will be no more Smackdown. Triple H tears up the announce table with his sledgehammer. The sledgehammer broke at the neck so he pulls another one out and continues to demolish the announce table and monitors. Back in the ring Triple H tells Vince that it is starting to cost him a lot of money and its about to get more expensive. Triple H attacks the camera man and threatens to destroy a $50,000 camera. Vince comes out to the top of the stage and makes a match for tonight - Undertaker and Kurt Angle vs Hulk Hogan and Triple H. Triple H says that is just fine but he has a message for Vince and Undertaker, "See you in hell dead man". Triple H destroys the $50,000 camera. -commercial- Backstage, Nidia tells Hurricane he is about to be an ex champion. Hurricane asks her where Jamie Knoble is. Nidia says he will see him soon enough. Hurricane says he will take him on anytime, any place. King of the Ring Qualifying Match - Test beat Hurricane with the roll the dice. After the match Knoble and Nidia came to the ring. Nidia takes Hurricane's mask off and slaps him in the face. -commercial- King of the Ring Qualifying Match - Hardcore Holly beat Tajiri via slam to the mat by the ankles. Backstage, Chris Jericho watches a tape of himself attacking Edge with a chair last week. Val Venis walks in and says he will stick his foot up Jericho's ass tonight, and then he'll know what "larger than life" really means. -commercial- Val Venis and Billy Kidman beat Chris Jericho and Lance Storm via Kidman rollup on Storm. Angle walks in and tells Vince he accepts Hogan's challenge. Undertaker walks in and says he is not scared, but the state of mind that Triple H is in right now makes him a little weary. Vince tells them that everything will be alright. -commercial- Reverend Dvon comes to the ring and does a sermon about masterbation. Dvon says it is a sin and everyone who does it will burn in hell. Faarooq comes to the ring and asks what is wrong with Dvon. Dvon says he does not masterbate anymore. Faarooq says he does. Faarooq attacks Dvon and pins him with a spinebuster. Bautista enters the ring but gets the donation box kicked back in his face by Faarooq. -commercial- Trish Stratus and Linda beat Ivory and Jackie via Trish's stratusfaction bulldog on Ivory. Backstage, Stacy Keibler enters Vince's office. Vince says there is a side of him that Stacy has never seen before. Vince tells her from now on to refer to him as Mr. McMahon. Someone knocks on the door but Vince tells Stacy not to answer it. Vince kisses Stacy and she acts as if she does not like it. -commercial- Backstage, Undertaker and Angle attack Hogan. -commercial- Kurt Angle and Undertaker beat Triple H and Hulk Hogan by DQ after Triple H hit Undertaker with the sledgehammer. Triple H fought this whole match by himself as Hogan never came out after getting attacked backstage by Angle and Undertaker. After the match Angle gives Triple H the olympic slam. As Angle was walking up the ramp with his back turned, Hogan comes from behing and clotheslines Angle. Hogan drags Angle to the ring and Triple H gives Angle the pedigree. Triple H pulls down Angle's shorts and Hogan delivers the legdrop. Hogan puts on Angle's wig and he and Triple H pose for the crowd before leaving to the back.
Guest AM The Kid Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Wait, wait, wait...let me get this straight. Angle is wrestling BOB HOLLY on VELOCITY, while X-PAC refuses to work on Heat? Geez...
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Wow, way to elevate those cruisers Vince!
Guest raptor Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 At least we get to see Knoble. I wonder how long they gave him and Funaki?
Guest art_vandelay Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 So Holly and Test both advance over Cruiserweights? Fuck, the tourney was looking good for a second there. Nice to see the Thrillseekers in action and that masturbation sermon sounds funny.
Guest bob_barron Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Can someone make sure Anglesault doesnt find out about kurt and velocity
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Knoble vs. Funaki 3 min AT BEST.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 I can honeslty say that there is not one thing in these spoilers that makes me want to watch the show. NOT ONE! So Test and Holly advance? SUPER!
Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 These spoilers can't be right at all. They must've missed the part where, in the name of elevating new talent, vaunted team-player and company man Triple-H jobbed cleanly to Brock Lesnar. :sarcasm:
Guest AM The Kid Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 *whispers to the new guy* Psst...Brock's on RAW.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Reverend Dvon comes to the ring and does a sermon about masterbation. Dvon says it is a sin and everyone who does it will burn in hell. Faarooq comes to the ring and asks what is wrong with Dvon. Dvon says he does not masterbate anymore. Faarooq says he does. Faarooq attacks Dvon and pins him with a spinebuster. Bautista enters the ring but gets the donation box kicked back in his face by Faarooq They did this exact, word for word, move for move, thing in OKC. But it never made it to the show.
Guest Mole Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 I can honeslty say that there is not one thing in these spoilers that makes me want to watch the show. NOT ONE! So Test and Holly advance? SUPER! Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. Nothing on Smackdown makes me want to watch the show. On the other hand, I want to see Funaki and Knoble go at it. I've never seen Knoble wrestle because I didn't watch WCW when he was wrestling. Is he as good as I heard?
Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 *whispers to the new guy* Psst...Brock's on RAW. Yeah, you're right, that would just make a mockery of this whole very serious, scrupulously enforced RAW/Smackdown split thing.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Oh...I'll be watching Velocity.
Guest raptor Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Knoble was very underutilized in WCW. My biggest memory was his wicked Tombstone piledriver, and an incredible match he had with Crusierweight Champion "Sugar" Shane Helms on Thunder. I'm the biggest Helms mark ever (and have been since Three Count), and even I was kinda' pulling for Knoble. So in short: yes, he's very, very good.
Guest bcu1979 Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Yawn...it sounds more like the Triple H show than anything. Austin's out of the picture now so I'm sure it won't be long before Triple H is top babyface on both shows. Vince's line about wanting to entertain the fans by having a contract signing between HHH/Taker sounds unintentionally hilarious. It would be nice if they at least put out the brackets for the tournament. Lesnar is the obvious choice. But a Lesnar/Venis or a Lesnar/Holly final would be hard to believe. The Jericho/Storm v. Kidman/Venis match could be really good if they actually give it some time. But who has time for long matches when the first 30 minutes of the show is devoted to pushing Triple H and Vince. And what show is complete without Kurt Angle being humiliated.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Seems like a must miss show. Tajiri AND Hurricane both job to Hardcore Holly and Test?!? Sheesh. I do not see what the WWE sees in Holly. I like Test, but I wish the WWE would decide whether to push him or not. They seem to give him some half-hearted push once every two months, he does not get over, so they depush him, then decide to push him again. It just goes on and on and on. Either get serious about pushing him, or bury him and move onto someone new. I just hope Holly does not win King of the Ring. Sure, I doubt he will, but still, this is the WWE we are talking about here. Ah well. No Smackdown for me this week.
Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 The most interesting part of tonight's show? The dark match that introduced the tag team of Sean O'Haire and Scott "Sick Boy" Vick squashing some local boys. Dunno if it's going to be a full-time gig, but that team has potential.
Guest Mikey2Dope Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 WTF?!? Hardbore Holly,Val Venis and Test all go over Christian,Tajiri and The Hurricane! Like seriously are they just shooting for another King of the Ring 95?
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 ok, well i guess that ends my d-von vs. bubba theory. on the side note, test-booker (my official prediction) can still happen but I pray to God they go with Booker-Jericho!!!! Either way, I liked RAW so whatever but SD! looks absolutely disgraceful.
Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 I feel sorry for the crowd, they had to watch Holly wrestle twice. But on the upside, the Thrillseekers reunite! Thats the best tag team in the WWE right there.
Guest NoCalMike Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 My god this show looks like complete crap. Looks like my streak of taping Smackdown ends at a whopping 2 weeks in a row.....hahaha
Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Man, I was falling asleep just reading the spoilers. I think they should rename the show (to paraphrase Bart Simpson) to Thursday Night Crap-o-Rama..
Guest Shadow Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 FEEL THE NEGATIVITY~! Geez, chill out guys. Doesn't seem like such a bad show to me. Then again, I'm an HHH fan and he's all over the show, so that probably has something to do with it. Show didn't seem stellar, but not as horrible as you guys are making it out to be, either. As for Angle being on Velocity- who cares? He beat Holly anyway and if it boosts ratings, great! I don't know why the WWE didn't start putting some of their more willing main eventers, like Angle, on Velocity and Heat sooner, since they tape them right before RAW and Smackdown anyway. Make the shows seem more important, y'know?
Guest Choken One Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Since Hurricane already has a match for KOTR...I'm not really sad to see him losing but Holly is just wrong. I often ingore SMACKDOWN anyways...so no biggie.
Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Doesn't seem like that bad of show...atleast they are making an effort with this years KOTR.
Guest C-Bacon Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 ok, so we have the following wrestlers advancing from their respective shows: RAW: RVD Booker T Brock Lesnar Xpac anyone one of these guys except for xpac would make a decent winner. while on the smackdown side you have: Jericho Valbowski Holly Test anything less then Jericho advancing to the finals would kill all his heat (or what's left of it) and furhter bury him if thats possible. he shouldn't even be in the tourny unless he's going all the way. so on the RAW side we should logically see the following matches: Booker vs. Xpac - Booker going over to further the face push RVD vs. Lesnar - Lesnar going over cause they don't seem to be pushing RVD any further then IC title level, and RVD facing Booker would kill Bookers face heat. Booker vs. Lesnar - Could go either way. It would make sense if Booker won if indeed they do the smart thing and have jericho in the finals, but on the other hand you'd want to keep lesnar strong admist his main even push I could really care less about the Smackdown brackets as long as Jericho wins
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 The most interesting part of tonight's show? The dark match that introduced the tag team of Sean O'Haire and Scott "Sick Boy" Vick squashing some local boys. Dunno if it's going to be a full-time gig, but that team has potential. Interesting. I like O'Haire, and Vick was OK when he was in The Flock. Hmmm... And what's the point of Farooq going over D-Von? You give him a gimmick change & pair him up w/ Bautista, and then job him to Farooq? I'm not a huge D-Von fan or anything (although, I'm kinda liking the preacher gimmick), but I don't see the point in that.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 Someone f*cked up and gave Farooq Test's push! He seems to be beating the shit out of everyone he faces. Sounds like he squashes D'Von and don't forget how bad he whipped the first ever Undisputed Champ's ass before a VERY tainted loss. Farooq is supposedly ready to retire, so they push him like he was back in his WCW champ days. DDP, on the other hand, may get canned and sent home with nothing after Undertaker comes on Smackdown, interrupts his retirement speech and squashes him one last time.
