Would it be worth it to put the title on a tag team specialist/jobber to the stars in order to hotshot it to Angle, who actually deserves it? Wouldn't it be better just to have Angle win it outright on Smackdown?

Heel on heel matches are notoriously confusing to the marks and results in sparse crowd reactions. Although from UT's actions on SD, it looks like he might be going down that route...

Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 The fans went nuts for IC Champion Jeff Hardy when he beat Triple-H last year.... but everyone knew he was fucked when he defended it on the following Raw. The crowd pop would be insane if Jeff won the title from Taker, clean. Then Angle and Jeff have an awesome match on Smackdown which Angle wins. It gets the title on the right man and elevates Jeff into good singles status.

If Taker Gets up the ladder and Beats Jeff, then take on Angle, it will be a miracle for him. And don't get me wrong I am a Taker fan but im also a realist Wrestling fan who seen everything since 86. What the possible story is, Taker goes to the Ladder match, He wins, but he is Pretty banged up going into Smackdown, and Angle wins because of Taker being "Banged up" Hell he may even get the First time ever Tap out of Taker. then Angle would get over more as a Smug hotshot heel who can make anyone tap.

I don't know which match he'll lose, or how it will happen, but I think the way the two shows have been set up make it seem possible. here's a thought: If jeffy wins on Monday, Taker is Raw. If jeffy loses on thursday, he's on Smackdown. Hardys = singles push? Or is Matt just Taker chow?

Hardy beats Angle though, maybe with a Undertaker run in, pushing his faceness because the Undertaker found respect for Jeff Hardy. AND so... Jeff gets SQUASHED like a Cochroach by Brock Lesnar at Summerslam.. You got to know that is the result. If Taker doesn't want to take on Brock for the title... For who believe Undertaker Would want to job to him. Angle just coming off of a Mega Win over Hulk Hogan. Not Mega for us who know better but Mega for the Cattle in the stands who can't believe Hogan tapped. Angle isn't gonna parlay such a rush into getting Trounced by Brock in Summerslam. Or even taking him on and Beating Brock at Summerslam. So They could set up a Fall guy. The fall guy being... Jeff Hardy.

If they're going to make RVD champ, they should put him over someone big, like Triple H, Taker, or one of the other top-carders. If he beats Jeff Hardy it will look like he only won because of someone else's fluke win against Taker. jester

No title for Jeff, but if he does win it, all it'll take is a Euro win and he'll have held EVERY title....scary. I'm sticking with thinking that Jeff wins the title, I really think they will do that. It would make sense in a way, because really, why else would they have such a match take place in the first place? Taker has repeatedly gotten the upperhand on Jeff, and Jeff seems at the point where he can never topple Taker. I think this match on RAW will be the climax to their feud, and that Jeff will walk out with the title. I really think they want both of the Hardy's to go solo, and to become major stars, and I think it sure as hell will eventually work. If Jeff wins it however, he will loose it to Angle, no doubt. It will not hurt him however, as he will now be looked at as much more than he has been up to this point. On a side note, it sems that some of you are not realizing that if Taker does drop the title to Jeff, it could very well be his last title reign. Are some of you Taker haters not in the least looking at this as him finally really putting someone young and new over? If he drops it to Jeff, it sure looks that way to me. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he should drop it to Jeff, I am simply trying to look at the positives in this situation, and like it or not, there are a few positives in this whole fiasco. I do however admit that I hate the concept of Jeff f'n Hardy getting the Undisputed Title before RVD, Benoit, Booker T, or hell, even before Rocky, Angle, or even Stone Cold Steve Austin.
