Surprise Surprise, Xpac Was Supposed To Job To Boo

From what I have heard from a few wrestlers, the Raw match on Monday between Big Show and Booker T was actually supposed to be Booker beating X Pac. I was told that X Pac said he was hurting from the weekend hours shows at MSG and at the Mohegan Sun and Show was put in his place. I talked to a few wrestlers who found the timing of the injury curious, considering he was scheduled to do the job on Monday and get laid out by Shawn Michaels on Raw, but those close to X Pac say he has been hurting for a while.

heh heh.

the best thing about X-pac jokes is that they tell themselves.

This is the exact kind of behavior Buff Bagwell pulled off before being fired. Were the nWo angle not in such a shakey state, they probably would've canned him by now.

They really, really need to fire him. With any luck they'll get rid of the rest of em as a side effect while they're at it.

I've never been a fan of dropping storylines without explanation, but I wouldn't mind in this case. I wouldn't mind at all.

It's too bad Waltman isn't the same guy he was 1999. He had a breakthrough year and put over many people. But now that his friends came back he has went back to thinking that he should be in the main events.

I know he's friends with HHH and all that but wft??? Is he secretly Vince's lovechild or something. How the hell does he keep doing this?

Guest Incandenza

It can't even be about connections anymore. They fired Scott Hall in spite of his friends, so what in the fuck is keeping Sean Waltman around? Does it involve pictures of Stephanie and a dog?

Ehh...I really think the Waltman job is something they should do on PPV.

What, so he can have the win back the next night when more people are watching?

Fuck X-Pac.

The problem here is that it makes a case for X-Pac becoming an ex-WWF wrestler. If he deliberately tried to get out of jobbing(why would he not want to job? He has been a glorified jobber for two years now.), then he should be fired for unprofessional conduct. If his injury was legit, X-Pac should really think about retiring because this would be just the latest in a long string of chronic injuries.

No...because look. When's the last time Booker T won a PPV match. He's probably the most over guy who drops as many matches, who doesn't even show at the last couple pay per views, who doesn't win any pay per view matches. Fuck, where's the people championing his cause. If they want to do it right, Booker T gets X-Pac, beats Nash, than finally starts chasing before HHH joins and they actually give Booker the final job, the last shot in the feud after just getting his ass beat. The Big Show job, IMO, was really well-handled because Booker looked strong, Big Show looked strong, but Booker still hasn't picked up that clean pin which gives some anticipation to the first pin.

"why would he not want to job?"

Because the difference is, before all his buddies weren't there. Now he not only has HHH, but Nash and HBK.

I highly doubt HHH is going to lay down for Booker T.

I'm let Pac off easy here. I don't think he refused to job to Booker. Recently he jobbed to RVD on Raw, so who knows. Booker is never really going to get over unless there are some guys willing to actually JOB to him though.

WTF, are you guys just so against all of those guys that you don't even care to hear facts? Is the timing odd in this? Yes, it obviously is. Can you blame him if he actually was injured? If you can, I can not understand your thinking.

What if he was hurt, and had he entered that match it could have hurt him seriously? With this news, comes two sides. He was either lying, or he was honest and he really was hurt. I dunno...

...it just gets on me how you ONLY look at, and accept the side which allows for you to put them down that much more.

Triple H has jobbed to Booker before

It is curiously timed. And, given X-pac's past political connections, it's rather convenient and suspicious that he would be "too injured to wrestle" on a night when he was supposedly scheduled to do the job.

But it could just be a coincidence this time. He really could have been too injured to have wrestled.

I don't particularly like X-pac, and I wouldn't really be surprised if this were just him trying to get out of jobbing. But then, just because I don't like the guy and would like to believe this is a bunch of b.s. embellishment on his part, doesn't necessarily make it the truth.

We don't really know, and never really will know. We can only make inferences at best and guesses at worst.

I kind of find it funny that the injury reappeared before the big Booker job. BTW, does anyone remember the last tim X-Pac jobbed clean? I know RVD needed Booker, he had his feet on the ropes with Austin, he was gone for a while before that...

The problem with X-Pac is though that he lost the benefit of the doubt a long time ago. If a mysterious injury pops up a couple of times 5 max throughout a wrestler's tenure then I am willing to lean towards the why risk it philosophy, but when it happens a little more regularly combined with the fact that he wanted to walk out a couple of weeks ago means he loses the benefit of the doubt.

And I do have a personal bias towards wanting X-Pac gone because he has not been good in about three or four years save a couple of matches and he is a punk ("Nobody heels like me I'm a main eventer blah blah blah"). But I feel the first paragraph outlines enough reason to look down on his professionalism without the bias mattering.

Well if you want to get really technical, not too many people job clean in the first place, not just X-Pac. Hell, even in the Cruiserweight matches there is usually some sort of interference. This isn't just Pac, almost no matches end totally clean.

yeah...but when they do job clean do they openly compain about it so loudly that it ends up on the internet

Blah, I can see what you mean though. Just, me personally, I prefer to not look at the bad side unless I know for sure, or at least have been told by a respectable news site. Call me crazy, but it allows for me to enjoy this sport just that much more. That's what it's all about ain't it? :P :P :P

Are we all forgetting when Pac joined the NWO recently he was the ONLY one jobbing. Every tag match, if the NWO lost, Pac was the Jobber.

The guy has never shown that he has a problem with jobbing, so why should he now. Fuck awkward timing, he could have been injured for weeks. The guy has a history of wrestling with major injuries before finally having to stop, but of course, the short memory of most of you guys here forget that. Jeebus, everything is political. X-pac could get hit by a bus and you guys would be saying he jumped in front of it so he didn't have to wrestle someone.

Come to think about it, He has always been the resident jobber of the NWO even in WCW. Bullshit story that everyone is so quick to jump on. Isn't it convienient that Beniot got "hurt" when he had to job clean to Austin...hmmmm??? That statement has about as much validity as this story.

Look at every time X-Pac jobs. Who ends up getting the last laugh in the feud?

And Benoit did job to Austin clean.

Goddammit, stop making sense and get the point I was trying to make. :)

[mummering] damn smartass noticing my little comparison made no sense[mummering]

You know what I was trying tosay. And WHEN, dear god WHEN does X-pac come out looking good in a fued?

Ripper and a few others, I respect that u can look at the big picture, and know that Pac jobs ALL THE FUCKIN TIME, how often does he ever go over, in a singles match clean, he has been the nwo job boy since the reincarnation.

I highly doubt HHH is going to lay down for Booker T.

HHH layed down for Booker T on a Raw I attended in January, almost completely cleanly too.

Whether X-Pac dodged the job or not, I still don't see where they are going with the nWo vs. Booker & Goldust crap. The nWo can barely hold themselves together and Booker and Goldust are just kind of around to be funny and beat up the nWo for no particular reason, other than Booker got kicked out of the nWo (which shouldn't have been a big deal because he was a member for a month or less)
