The following is from Trish Stratus' blog:

An update - been a long, long time since i've "blogged" - it's the cool thing these days though right? It's cool that i've been able to get a few things off my chest on here with only friends and, I guess, some fans reading the stuff - knowing how the web works, and in particular the wrestling community, i'm well aware that this blog might get bandied about the net - fair enough.

Melina - You've carved out a unique place for yourself with the WWE, you're beautiful, a character and popular with the fans - don't ruin it by going off on Alexis. Any differences you both had should be left in OVW. I'm commenting because you mentioned me, and the angle, in your attack on Alexis at your website - although you were nothing but respectful towards me I take exception to your comments on the angle, notably about what Alexis (Mickie) was wearing. We both know that what she wore was what she was told to wear, that's how it goes, especially in a debut angle. (In the storyline) she is an obsessed fan of mine - leave it a few weeks to comment on her lack of dressing like me and see how the angle develops before you comment. I don't appreciate you poking holes that aren't there in my angles. You have a problem with Alexis that is fine, good for you, but myself, and others, and i'm pretty sure this includes the fans, the internet (or which ever audience you are trying to reach) are taking her on face value and don't intend to let any trivial differences you had with her infringe on her run with WWE. She's been on TV ONCE!!!

This is nuts.

Lets move to the other intersting WWE news: A MIDGET DIVISION!

The Juniors are Coming!

Oct. 15, 2005

In an unprecedented collaboration, network executive Palmer Canon and SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announced today the introduction of a new WWE wrestling division exclusive to Friday Night SmackDown: The Juniors.

The Juniors Division will be comprised of world-class athletes at or below 5 feet tall. “Midgets, dwarves, the little people; they’re all welcome,” said Long. “We don’t discriminate against anybody on my show, as long as they can bring it.”

“The network believes there’s big ratings and big excitement in the new Juniors Division," Canon added. "I think fans will be shocked at what these tiny, but very talented, competitors can add to the already incredibly gifted roster here on Friday Night SmackDown.”

SPECIALIST - TNA: Time to score points by addressing the Jim Ross situation on Impact

By Paul Madavi, Torch Team Contributor

Oct 14, 2005, 08:18

Point The Finger

TNA has a reputation as a talent friendly organization. The TNA locker-room is said to be one of the happiest, lacking many of the political machinations often associated with wrestling promotions. In fact, one of the best things TNA has going for them currently is that they’re refreshing environment to be in for wrestlers, and pro wrestling industry workers in general. There’s no ridiculous schedule. There’s no constant driving back and forth to arenas all over the country. Wrestlers are allowed to work their respective styles. And, perhaps most importantly, there are no on air “firings” of individuals who have given their lives to the business. There are no nut shots for company men who have literally worked themselves sick. In a business where it is seldom given even to the deserving, respect exists in TNA. They should say as much.

Next Saturday, I would like nothing more than to have Mike Tenay kick off Impact, stand in the middle of that six sided gem of canvas and cable, look the camera square in its bulbous glass eye, and speak the truth about what happened to Jim Ross. Ross, who was demoted from calling TV matches for the other company, who became inflicted with Bells Palsy from the strain of his work and had it resurface twice while he was on the job, who is widely considered the best at what he does, was removed from his position, in one of the most vile, crass ways possible. Mike Tenay should say as much.

Ross, who spent years and years putting over the other company’s stars and product, who never missed shows, who took part in angles that humiliated him on TV, who took taunts from his employer through his telecasting partner’s mouth on live TV, who did it all for the love of the job and the fans, was sent off the air, not with a warm farewell, streamers, and the deserving adulation of the fans and wrestlers. He was sent off the air on his knees, when he should have been lifted upon shoulders. Mike Tenay should say as much.

Ross, who was tossed in the mud like pearls before swine, who was fired more than once, who can call a match like no other, who will no longer have a contract in roughly one year’s time, who so sorely deserves respect as the best at his job, would be most welcome in TNA. There would be no jokes about his face, a reminder of his dedication to the business. There would be no call to humiliate him on TV. There would be the honor and respect owed a person after 30 years of work in the business, after accolades upon accolades of excellence. There would be always a prominent position for Jim Ross in TNA. And Mike Tenay should look right into that camera, look every last viewer right in the eye, and promise as much.

TNA must point the finger. They need to call out the other company on their inability to do what’s right for their employees, for the fans, and for their business. They need to let everyone know they are different than the other company. They respect their wrestlers and staff. They respect their fans and want the best for them. They know the fans love Jim Ross. They want Jim Ross because he’s the best announcer there is. They want Jim Ross because TNA is the future of wrestling, and Ross needs to be a part of that. TNA needs to point the finger at the other company, because they need to let everyone know just how different they are from them.

It’s not just business. It’s the right the thing to do, for someone who has been wronged so often.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe it just seems that most reporters at the news websites have a vendetta against the WWE and anything Vince-related. They want TNA to succeed so we have an alternative or something that puts WWE out of biz. (I know the latter ain't happening anytime soon but I'm sure a lot of the IWC would cheer if it happened).

So why after only two weeks on the air with Spike they want to give Vince an excuse to put TNA squarely in his sights. Yes, TNA has put on some solid shows the first couple of weeks and after watching the tape of yesterday's show as I lay sick here with stomach flu they seem to have an idea of what the fans want. That being said, three weeks is too damn soon to put TNA into a ratings battle with the WWE, especially since Vince has destroyed all other competition in his path over the last 20 years. In their quest to put something right up against Vince, they might do more damage to TNA than good.

UGH why start a war where there not even that big yet?

Better news tho:

Two new matches were just announced on tnawrestling.com:

X Division Four Way:

“The Original Playa From The Himalaya” Sonjay Dutt vs. Austin Aries

vs. Alex Shelley vs. Roderick Strong

The Diamonds In The Rough (Diamond, Primetime, Young)

vs. Apolo, Sonny Siaki and Shark Boy

1. B.J. Whitmer def. Davey Andrews with the wrist clutch exploder. Lacey continued telling Whitmer to deliver the beating, and Andrews took several exploders before Whitmer pinned him.

2. "Double C" Claudio Castagnoli def. Sterling Keenan with a pyramid bomb. Claudio hit a nice death valley driver. Good comedy spots aswell and to everyone's suprise, Claudio was way over. *sarcasm*

3. Jay Lethal def. Jimmy Jacobs with a dragon suplex right on top of his head. Good back and fourth match with Lacey doing her thing on the outside.

Nigel McGuinness comes out bashing Buffalo sports teams. Talks about Joe in the roll of Shrek 3. Nigel says he is the special attraction and something else about Joe.

4. Nigel McGuinness def. Samoa Joe to retain the ROH pure title. Joe lost all 3 rope breaks in less than a min. Joe missed an oley kick, and was almost counted out, but got back in the ring at 19. Joe reversed the ace crusher into a choke. Nigel was able to push up on the ropes in the choke and pin Joe for the win.

5. The Embassy of Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, & Abyss def. Generation Next of Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, & Jack Evans in an absolutey INSANE no dq match. Aparently there were some batting cages somewhere, Jack Evans hit a 630 off them onto Abyss through a table. Shelley hit a variation of the shellshock on Roderick through two tables side by side. The finish came when there was a ladder ontop of Rave, Aries missed the 450 and hit the ladder. Nana and Rave covered Aries ontop of the ladder and got the pinfall. INSANE I TELL YOU.

After the six-man and intermission was announced, there was some sort of scuffle and I'm gonna try to get this right. Some kid hit Aries during the match, and Aries gave the kid a forearm. After the match, the kid was talking **** to a trainee, Bobby Dempsey. The kid shoved Dempsey, Roderick Strong followed by getting Joe. The kid was telling the trainee how it was fake and all this. It followed by going outside, where Joe single-leg dropped the kid on the ground. Security also jumped in and was beating on this kid. Then Gabe & Jimmy Jacobs come in and save the kid. Gabe grabs the kid by the neck and takes him off. Everyone was out there at this point. Sounds like some good fun for intermission.

6. Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro def. The Rottweilers of Homicide & Ricky Reyes to retain the ROH tag team titles. Finish came when Rinauro hit a springboard cross body off the rop rope on Reyes. Supreme said it was a dissapointing finish, and the crowd seemed to be anticipating more, but it was a good match.

7. Low-Ki def. Colt Cabana. Homicide was talking smack to Colt before the match and Low-Ki jumped him from behind. Really good match. The finish came after a brutal ghetto stomp.

8. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson def. Steve Corino via submission to retain the ROH world heavyweight title. Acouple of close near falls toward the end. Corino was able to escape the cattle mutilation acouple of times. Danielson won with a chicken wing crossface. Pretty good match

1) CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI d. NIGEL MCGUINNESS in a non-title match

2) RICKY REYES d. MATT STRYKER

3) TONY MAMALUKE & SAL RINAURO d. B.J. WHITMER & JIMMY JACOBS to retain the ROH World Tag Team titles

4) RODERICK STRONG d. JIMMY YANG

5) COLT CABANA & STEVE CORINO d. HOMICIDE & LOW-KI

*Corino cut a pre-match promo dressed as CM PUNK and did a speech/list of people WWE killed and they wanted to do a 10 bell salute to Punk but Vince McMahon owns the rights to that, so they had to do 3 bell salute instead.*

6) BOBBY DEMPSEY & PELLE PRIMEAU AND SHANE HAGADORN & DAVEY ANDREWS wrestled to a no contest

*Abyss came out and destroyed the students*

7) ABYSS d. Jack Evans

8) SAMOA JOE & JAY LETHAL d. JIMMY RAVE & ALEX SHELLEY

9) BRYAN DANIELSON d. AUSTIN ARIES to retain the ROH World title

Now Puro News:

Intresting news about the Mushiking Charator:

And the children in this arcade sure are excited by it, judging from their jostling to eye the action in the ring. Facing off: a sawtooth stag beetle and a Thailand five-horned beetle, each trying to kill the other with a crunching bite, pincer lock, or body slam.

This is not cruelty to insects. It is child's play. The beetles are animated. The fight is taking place on a video screen in a Tokyo toy store. And the warring insects are computer-generated from playing cards -- all based on real beetle species -- and collected by children who have succumbed to the lure of Mushi King (Bug King), Japan's game craze of the year.

Introduced to video game-obsessed Japan in 2003, Mushi King has become electronic manna for preteens. In toy stores and arcades, children as young as 4 crowd around Mushi King machines for an opportunity to match their card collection of 3-D beetle warriors against rival beetle armies.

On weekends, they choose among thousands of Mushi King tournaments across the country, carrying their decks of beetle cards from arcade to arcade, towing parents by the hand.

Executives at Sega, the Japanese game company that developed Mushi King, say they have sold 256 million of the colorful beetle cards and more than a half-million copies of the software that allows you to play at home on a Game Boy or PlayStation. With a complete Mushi King set totaling 856 cards and with cards available from arcade machines at 100 yen each, almost a dollar, it is enough to send shudders through a parent on allowance day.

But the gamers at Sega can't stop smiling. Japan has 13,500 Mushi King arcade machines in 5,200 locations, and the collectible card game shows the kind of explosive sales numbers that lead executives to dream they might be sitting on the next Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon.

''Mushi King fever is the same as Pokemon's in its original game and TV stage," said Hisakazu Hirabayashi, a leading game analyst and consultant in Tokyo.

Hirabayashi is not convinced that Mushi King can sustain the momentum, asserting that the game's story line lacks the narrative power that allowed Pokemon to grow.

But the principle of collecting and customizing the set of fighting characters is the same. In Mushi King, every card contains a number measuring the beetle's strength and stamina, which can be complemented when combined with special ''skill" cards.

Mushi King's twist is in the rules of combat: an outlandish combination of the classic child's game of rock, paper, scissors and -- you'll have to let your imagination well out of the box for this part -- fighting maneuvers patterned on the mayhem of Japanese pro wrestling.

Each beetle has a special finishing attack, the killer move borrowed from the pro wrestling demi-monde: the tornado throw, the running cutter, and so on.

Whether Mushi King can travel across cultures as well as Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh remains to be seen. Sega has launched the game in other parts of Asia and is test-marketing it in Dallas arcades to see whether children in America will bite.

You heard it first... The next great Japanese Superstar...is a beetle.

AND now we know why Power Rangers 2007 will be bug based.

And why Noah created MushiKing Terry.

Enterbrain is publishing a memorial book on Hashimoto. Interviews with Naoya Ogawa, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Masakatsu Funaki, Keiji Mutoh, and others who personally dealt with Hashimoto were interviewed for the tribute book.

A shooting took place right near (in a parking lot) the promotion's show in Gunma (Takasaki) at the Sanpia Takasaki building on the 12th and a 56-old man (Yoichi Fukumoto) was killed. What's the catch to the story? You guessed it - the man shot was a former Yakuza boss in Maebashi city and arrests of Yamaguchi-gumi members (the largest crime family in Japan) have taken place...

Some wrestling promoters use flyers and posters to promote a big show. Others may buy television time (advertising, special programs). However, Hustle had a better idea for promoting their 11/3 Yokohama Arena "Hustle Mania" show - hijack a Bic Camera store in Tokyo and become manager for a day. 500 people showed up to see Generalissimo Takada. Yinling the Erotic Terrorist showed up in a leather dress and promised to sell all of the electrical appliances in the store. Plasma TVs were sold.

Over at Strong Style Spirit:

Tiger Mask, who complains more than any super hero in history perhaps, expressed his unhappiness with Choshu's return. Tiger thinks Choshu is overrated as a booker, saying if he was so good then World Japan wouldn't have folded so quickly. Furthermore, he doesn't think Choshu will back up the junior division and demanded he keep his hands out of it and let the current flow continue. Tiger Mask is known for not holding back in comments (if he cut promos like this, he would be an overnight monster heel), such as saying WWE juniors are unimpressive, and looking down at juniors from other promotions (calling Silver King a poor Black Tiger, for example) as well as pro wrestlers with backgrounds in MMA.

UGH...and there going make a comic book on HIM?

But thats it for this week...
