RE: Mooch. My dad brought up an interesting point. Marriuci had a hell of a run in San Fran, but then again, the framework was kinda laid already. Contrarily, he didn't do well in Detroit, but look at what he had to work with. Matt Millen at the helm, Kevin "Hype" Jones, Joey Harrington, and a very spotty defense. I mean, Jason Hanson can't do it all. The Vikes, I think, would be a very interesting situation for him -- a young team, on the brink of being a contender, with a lot of raw talent, with a new owner, but one sorely in need of direction. Denny Green would likely run this Viking team into the ground. Could Mooch do better? I, personally, would love to see it.

Brad Childress was a good hire for the Vikes. He likes to call pass plays, which is exactly what Minnesota should be focusing on because they never seem to have the running back that can pound the ball up the middle. IMO, Tice wasn't ready to be a head coach when he was first handed the job, and it definitely showed throughout his tenure.
