31.

We're skipping #4, Money and Greed in Sports. I couldn't grumble about that nearly as well as other bloggers here anyway. And none of you would even know what #3 was. Plus, I want to get to my happy moments, eventually. I better get to it before my eventual return to my usual dark, gloomy moods... and wishing pain on everyone.

2) The first minute of the second half of Super Bowl XXVIII.

As we all know, the Buffalo Bills had lost the 3 Super Bowls prior to this.

The Bills ended the first half up 13-6. They basically outplayed Dallas in the first half. The Cowboys couldn't move the ball much, at all.

Then, 45 seconds into the 2nd half, Thurman Thomas was stripped of the ball by Leon Lett. James Washington returned it 46 yards for a touchdown. The score was 13-13. All Bills fans knew what would happen then.

The end.

that was TRUELY when the label of "chokers" could be lumped onto them...the first SB loss was a fuck up...the 2nd and 3rd ones, they had no control over right from the start...this is the one where they really truelly choked it all away.

Yeah, if anything Dallas should have lost SB XXVIII, but everyone knew it was a matter of time before the Bills wilted under the heat of the SB pressure yet again.

I blame that loss on Thurman, he fumbled after that aswell...at least one more time.

Indeed, Thurman should have been blamed. Especially painful since Thurman very rarely fumbled in his career... he was a very smart runner.

All of Thurman's gaffs in SB's have crushed his legacy. He was a damn good back.

Very true.

If people are wondering why I didn't put XXV on here... it's because it wasn't painful at the time. Everyone knew the Bills were the better team... and Bills' fans knew we would get back there again. It was like the young athlete who has success early in their sporting career, and thinks that it's easy to repeat.

And it's not like Norwood missed a chip shot. A 47-yarder, from his weaker hash, in insane pressure like that, ain't nothing easy.
