“…it's all fun and games…”

***You only get one chance to make a first impression. You only get that one single chance to give people a glimpse into your soul unobstructed, before they start to evaluate your every movement, every word, every facet of your life…hoping that you are not better than them…for if you are, you will be shunned. And that is a place that you may never be able to escape from***

~Frozen Ground~

~Frozen Thoughts~

--Fade In--

**The scene is quiet…almost too quiet. A mid-city playground at dusk. The swings hover back and forth in an updraft, and drops of water from a mid-day rain drip…drip…drop into a puddle at the base of a long and winding metal slide. The camera pans through the playground, stopping at various metal objects that could only in a torturistic society be considered playthings for small children. Some of them wouldn’t even be good for big children. Shiny objects embedded in concrete as though making harsh love to the very foundation that lets it live and breathe in the sweat, the rain, and the blood that just may appear here on any given day.

And as it has been for the past few months, this night is no different. Perched atop the jungle gym is the shadow of one man who knows what it is like to feel the pain of society. He has not been shunned…not completely. He has his family; he has his extended family – the SJL. But when he looks into the mirror, when he sees those eyes looking back and into his soul…he knows what he must do.

The camera zooms over and up, stopping a few feet from Bloodshed’s face, looking up into his eyes as he stares past the camera and into the cold ground of the night. But his eyes do not stay that way for long. His trademark smirk moves slowly onto his face and his eyes turn to the camera. And without almost no warning…he speaks**

You should have seen me today! All of us played dodge ball…and I WON~! It was so cool! Nobody could touch me….those darn twelve year olds. Silly girls think they can beat me….pffftttt. It felt good to be on the winning end of something for the first time in a while.

I’m sure you heard alot about me over the past few days…always have a camera in my face, always speaking my mind, or at least showing it to you in pretty color photographs, but yesterday I got this phone call saying that my first match in the SJL would be against this guy Todd Royal. It seems he came in about the same time I did, and they want us to try to impress with the world by getting in the ring and beating each other to a pulp on Wrath. Well sure…but why be a pulp when you can be a BLOODY pulp? It’s so much more fun that way…

Now I do some searching and find out that is Todd guy thinks he is the greatest thing since Post-Its and that I should revere him or bow down to him or not covet they neighbors ring posts or something. Well I think Mr. Royal should remember that religion is not something that should be played with in the wrestling world. For you see, I was once the Apostle…and in my rookie year I was cut open and I bleed and bleed until I thought my body would just fall to pieces…but I survived.

When I look back on that day…and I do look back on that day…I see that my transformation into the man you see here was complete destiny…as I tried to challenge the world and philosophy and be something that nobody else could be…but when I was laying on the mat, blood pouring from places that I didn’t even know existed…I had an epiphany…

I saw myself as a great champion…not as The Apostle…no no…but as someone new. Someone different. Someone unique. Originality became my only goal…and within weeks…Bloodshed was born. The man you see here sitting on top of this jungle gym was born in a small auditorium right outside the Utah border…and now I live my life regretting things I have done before that night… I used to fight in white sheets….robes…and called myself the One True Spirit…the person that could bring salvation to those that needed it the most…but it was all a lie. The truth lied under my skin….searching for a way to escape. And that night…it escaped and flowed forth like a raging river across my skin and down onto the canvas below.

And I knew then that I was destined for greatness.

Now I sit here…waiting for Sunday night…waiting to show the world exactly what I am made of….made of hopes…made of dreams…made of a deep reality that can trap you and bring you swirling into a vortex of complete delusion.

Todd…your reality is waiting for you this Sunday…your True Grace will be shown to you and to all those watching. They will see the truth and I know…and you know…that nobody will ever be the same….

**Bloodshed is suddenly interrupted by a flashlight in his face. He is stunned and looks down to the ground. A girl is waiting, holding two flashlights and shooting them in his face**

Girl: It’s time for FLASHLIGHT TAG~!

**A smile grows on Bloodshed’s face and he leaps from the top of the jungle gym…grabbing a flashlight as his feet touch the ground and he runs off with the girl, tagging her with the flashlight before falling down in the grass**

Girl: Ahhh! Blood!

**The girl runs away, dropping the flashlight to the ground. Bloodshed can be heard stifling laughter as the scene fades to black**

"All of us played dodge ball…and I WON~! "

I laughed for a good ten minutes after reading that, don't know why. I had a bit of a hard time getting a handle on the Bloodshed character, but he's very complex and only further promos will help to clarify the character. Recanting his history and tying that into Royal's character is a great way to not only familarize readers with Bloodshed but hype their upcoming match.

Yes, as the marker of said match I'm reading the promos of the guys I'm marking. What a novel idea.
