  1. The British Bulldogs being taken is the only thing that has hurt my plans so far. I still wasn't sure if I wanted to draft them as a tag team, or if I wanted Dynamite as a singles wrestler so that I could build my Junior Heavyweight/Intercontinental division around him, and hope for Davey Boy to be available down the road. As an aside, I really like how this is moving along today. Looks as though everybody is doing a good job of sending those private messages along to the next person in line. Keep up the good work.
  2. Nobody in that entire stable was ever booked to look strong, except for Bam Bam. Not even Sid. Master P and the No Limit Soldiers were used in a hyped, definitive context, and it bombed miserably.
  3. Let's all hope that Master P doesn't show up on our TV screens.
  4. Point taken. Though it would have to cut it really close in order for that to happen (the person before you would have to have just made their selection as your shift was beginning).
  5. Tell me about it........When they panned to the crowd at the end there they were absolutely dead and all sitting on their hands. Nobody gave a rat's ass about this announcement. It's because they weren't getting shit.
  6. ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  7. If things don't speed up in the next couple of days, I will consider it. People always have the option of sending me a PM with their options if they think that they are going to miss their window, but I also understand why they want to see where everyone else is going before posting their selection. And name-dropping is prohibited in this thread. Keeps it fair.
  8. Yes, you are.
  9. So, are they really going to wait to introduce his tag team partner?
  10. Several people have made inquiries, and I am tossing around the idea of having a second stage to select managers/valets. For now we are just going to focus on in-ring talents.
  11. Good pick. No need to focus on the negative, as Kerry was pretty badass. I mean, he even made an impression in the WWF, even after being their for only a short amound of time.
  12. Posting a reply on behalf of Crandamaniac. His second round selection is likely the most talked-about wrestler in the early days of the Monday Night Wars. His groundbreaking work in WCW's first light heavyweight division is still talked about to this day. His charisma and dedication to his character is unmatched. Joining his fellow WCW Tag Team Champions partner, the 32nd draft pick is... The ticking time bomb, the incomparable, the loose cannon... Brian F'N Pillman!
  13. Sorry that I forgot to acknowledge this before, but this is pretty awesome, as far as proven classics go.
  14. Come the start of June, I'm going to have to figure a new way of working my picks. I'll be working at a summer camp, and my internet access will be limited. That being said, the picks will be made when needed, but I apologize in advance if the pace slows down. At worst, you can compile a massive list and send me a PM, as I have been/will be acting as a surrogate for those who cannot be in place. So far it has worked out just fine.
  15. I hate you. I was truly planning on having The Steiners against the British Bulldogs as the main event of my hypothetical supercard, going on after my World Championship match. Though I was also torn on drafting Dynamite alone as the centerpiece of my Junior Heavyweight Division as well. I guess this puts me in the last place to blame somebody for getting them while they can, though. As an aside, I kinda want people to mellow out on the potential/eventual split factor in drafting their tag teams. You get thirty singles wrestlers already, so you should be focusing on one or the other.
  16. I find this to be a strange selection when combined with the first round selection you chose given how similar they are. Also because I don't think Douglas was a hot commodity and you probably would've had him available in the next round at the very least. How do you plan on utilizing your first two selections given their similarities? I would love to see Shane cut a promo on HHH. He would show him up for sure. Their matches would be very good too.
  17. Thank you. I really, really wanted to get my hands on those guys. It's easy to forget how they one of the best things about WCW when I first started watching. I've gone back and watched some of their work from 91-92 (which is the era of the Steiners that I am selecting, though it's all consistently good) recently, and I still love them as a duo.
  18. As my second round draft pick, I would like to select one of my favorite tag teams of all time. Not only would I build my tag team division around these two, but I would book them as main event draws as well. Ladies and gentlemen, the 27th selection in the draft, the former WCW and WWF World Tag Team Champions: Rick & Scott: The Steiner Brothers!
  19. My neighborhood was just paid a visit by the ice cream man. THE ICE CREAM MAN! I haven't made a purchase from the ice cream man in at least a decade and a half, since I'm pretty sure that the city I lived in passed some stupid law prohibiting that kind of business. I'm not really that big on ice cream, etc. these days, but I pretty much had to get something. I went with the chocolate eclair.
  20. I say Ask away. This style of draft is much more complicated then assembling any sports team or choosing your favorite albums, and we are still figuring it out. Anyway, I just wanted to use two performers that nobody is interested in acquiring any time soon for my example.
  21. Another question was brought to my attention by Hawk34. He asked if it was okay to use a gimmick that was portrayed by several wrestlers, even if one of them was already drafted. I say that as long as you list who is portraying the character, then that is okay. For instance, if somebody already drafted the Dwayne Gill incarnation of The Executioner, then you could still use the Barry Hardy version of the Executioner, so long as you can clarify that another performer is under the hood.
  22. Unless somebody is uncomfortable asking a question in the open thread (or has to name a specific wrestler/team, which we are trying to avoid), I would be fine if you just posted your inquiries here. Also, rule #2 states that pairings (i.e. The Rock and The Undertaker) are prohibited.
  23. Yeah that wouldn't have flown. The WWE jacked over the tag division so bad with a ton of mismash pairings of great wrestlers, the tag rule's problems should be cleared up pretty soon since most of the Main Eventers tossed together to give them something to do have been selected or will be pretty soon. Agreed. Agreed.
