Yeah, I've taken a few precautions to try and lengthen the life of my 360. In my stand it's on the bottom shelf, and I removed the middle shelf to give it more ventilation. I also never slide the glass in front of it when its on. I also lay it flat, and purchased a Nyko intercooler (makes some noise, but I guess it keeps it cooler). Who knows if any of that makes any difference, but I just had two friend's systems give out to the infamous "red rings of death", so why not try some things to prevent it. I agree it is pretty sad about the failure rate of these machines, but I'm sure what else to expect.

My forays into older games are done mostly through ESPN classic. But for my money the only team that could keep up with the teams in 70's and 80's as far as speed is concerned is the Suns. They would be the only team that could manage that kind of speed consistently. The current incarnation of Warriors would be able to keep up on one of their better days.

There will be no trash dump for Kobe. If the Lakers do end up trading him its going to be for either that teams best player, or their best young player a lottery pick and an expiring contract. I'm going to guess they would opt for the latter since they would probably be willing to go into somewhat of a rebuilding mode (maybe). I still think boston giving the 5 pick Jefferson and/or green and some cap fodder would be a solid deal.

I gotta say, this has me excited. If they can manage to not go against the NFL. I'm all for them going against AFL as I've never watched that and could care less about it. Who doesn't want to see marginal NFL players, and people with checkered pasts getting a chance to play again. Long live Tamarick Vanover.

Has anyone heard anything about what kind of Mario Kart is going to be released for the Wii. I had initially bought one for myself on launch day, but I sold it a few days later. I was waiting to hear what would happen with Mario Kart, and whether or not Online match play would be available. If so I'd definitely buy one again in a heartbeat.

Problem with that is they will have to give away one of the 3 Gerald Wallace/Felton/Okafor. Wallace is the most likely choice, but he's a free agent so only a Sign and trade works. Plus they would have to throw another high priced contract to get the contracts to match.

Dan Patrick mentioned that on air while interviewing Kobe. Kobe said that his agent contacted Mitch (Kupchak, Lakers GM) this morning about requesting a trade. He also said that he hopes something can be worked out, and basically waffled back and forth on being traded and retiring as a Laker.

I'm listening to him on Dan Patrick right now. He sounds almost depressed. Says he would waive his no trade clause, and play anywhere the Lakers traded him.

I dont know if you can count on Nachbar (a career journeyman before this year) and Krstic (recovering from major knee surgery) to make up a solid starting 5. Mikki Moore is also the quintessential journeyman having a break out year. What are the chances he repeats that.

I don't seem them making it to free agency on this. Also NBA GMs have always said it was much easier to make a trade in the offseason than during the season. So this is pretty good timing on his part.
