If you want to save some $$, I say go with an external USB/Firewire enclosure kit and an internal HD. As the name implies, the enclosure is basically a box with a power supply, an IDE cable, and a USB/Firewire cable to connect to your computer. Just buy an internal hard drive, plug it into the enclosure, and voila--you have an external hard drive. Plus, you can easily swap out hard drives, or use the enclosure to house CD/DVD drives. That's what I use--I have one HD for system backup and one for my, um, picture/movie collection, and I just swap them in & out as needed (usually it's the second one that stays in).

Well, if you don't want to shell out the $120 for the yearbook edition (the magic number is 25,000), the retail 6-disc set still has a shitload of extras (28 commentaries for 18 episodes!), and is probably the best TV on DVD package we'll be seeing for a long while, possibly ever (aside from the yearbook edition, of course). I thought the Alias sets were nice, but this blows everything away. I just splurged on the limited edition because, well, it's my new favorite series ever (I never saw a single ep until I bought the retail edition), and, a few years from now, I didn't want to be kicking myself for not owning it. Also, I'm getting a nice tax refund.

OK, the spoiler tag mod I installed earlier was pretty useless. You couldn't use more than 1 set of tags in a post without screwing things up, and using them caused the spoilered text to be on a separate line (which is how they worked prior to the board upgrade). Also, they were white, which, against this light blue background, made it hard to see the spoiler block if you didn't know it was there. So, I just made my own mod: spoilered text can be now used within a single line, and the spoiler block is now a dark red. Enjoy, bitches.

I wanna see it again first. I was half-asleep when I caught it on TV. I'm back because TRITEC pointed out that thread you started about the spoiler tags, and decided to check out the Angel thread while I was here. I'll try & reinstall the spoiler tags this weekend.

Season 5 will probably come out in February (so far, they've followed a February-September-February schedule). If you're really that far behind, then yeah, maybe you should just wait for the DVDs. I suggest taping the remaining 5 episodes (but not watching them), then try to catch up on DVD. All the season 4 eps are available on Kazaa & other places, and season 5 shouldn't be hard to come by. Oh yeah, the new opening credits sequence was pretty awesome. It's about time they stuck Harmony in there (though I wish they hadn't lost the Angel/Faith shot).
