What Would It Take You To Stop Watching WWE Programming
Scarlett_Rayne replied to Nate's topic in The WWE Folder
i really don't actively and attentively watch religiously like i used to in the late 90's early 2000's like i used to. i'll have it on in the background and read up on forums and news sites for news now honestly. i mainly just pay attention to ppvs now and ecw only cause of tommy dreamer. i'd like to stay in the loop just a little for when his wife calls me up on occasion to talk. other than that, i don't think i'll actually stop cold turkey watching but my interest has really wained on it all -

The thriller video would scare the shit out of me when I was a kid... I'm sorry but if I saw zombies break dancing out of the cemetery I would really be running so fast in the opposite direction to the nearest Academy.

correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't there something dealing with a fake sting and then when the real sting came back everyone thought he betrayed the company so he disappeared and started appearing in the rafters as crow sting? i can just remember bits and pieces of it all since i just barely started getting back into wrestling at that time

Would Doby have been as successful and as accepted as Robinson? I honestly can't think of anyone else off the top of my head but Robinson to break the color barrier. I mean Branch Rickey picked the most model Negro League player in the system. Robinson was a top notch athlete and also an intelligent man having gone to UCLA, plus it didn't hurt that he was an ex GI either. Had Rickey not picked Robinson or had Robinson not existed, it's hard to say when the color barrier would have been broken. Honestly, if it didn't happen then and there with Robinson, could one go out on a limb and say that perhaps the integration of America could have been pushed back as well? I swear taking that baseball history class just gave me more questions than answers Ted Williams would have easily hit well over 3000, possibly had another .400 season and would have had around 600 hrs. Cal Ripken may not have been able to break the streak. Gehrig had a few seasons left in him had he not gotten sick. so anyone willing to tackle the Jim Bouton "Ball Four" what if?

That kinda thing just scares me honestly... I've been teaching for 3 years already and I'm fairly young and I teach seniors. It just paranoids the shit out of me that one of them could actually get pissed off with me one day because, god forbid, I get after them for not doing work or something to that effect and then bam, if they're is twisted enough, they could go straight to the principals and possibly accuse me of something. What's bad is that I'm such an easy target since I stay late at school to make copies or work in my classroom and pretty much none of my co-workers are around my immediate area, so it'll be their word against mine. It's just so easy to do it's sad, administration has to take every one of those claims seriously and everyone of those claims goes through the same process of investigation and even if you're not found guilty of it, your reputation is still shot and it still goes under your reviews, so if you wanted to transfer to somewhere else, it'll always follow you.

Here's some more for baseball fans. (well this could even go with just sports writing style in general) What if "Ball Four" had never been written? Where would sports journalism, writing and reporting be today? What if Jackie Robinson had not been the one to break the color barrier?

i can't find a picture of this anywhere but does anyone remember Nestle Alpine White? I'm such a white chocolate girl and this candy bar was my favorite. Nothing like white chocolate with chopped up almonds

Movie moments that gave/give you chills *Spoilers throughout*
Scarlett_Rayne replied to Angle-plex's topic in Television & Film
as far as classics go: Gone with the Wind--when Rhett tells Scarlett "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn." After watching everything they went through, it's a definite holy shit moment. Casablanca--The ending where Rick gives up Ilsa The Maltese Falcon--Finding out the Falcon was a fake Sports movies: Pride of the Yankees--"Today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth." I knew it was coming, but still, the baseball mark in me still shed a tear. Field of Dreams--Ray finding his father out on the field. It still chokes me up honestly because I have such vivid memories of playing catch with my father and we just don't do that anymore. meh, I've got more, I'll just list them later as they come to me -
What is the Black Sox Scandal never happened? Shoeless Joe Jackson would definitely be in the Hall of Fame and would have probably surpassed Ty Cobb as all-time hit leader back then and might be #2 on the list behind Rose today. There would probably have not been a baseball Commissioner for many years to come which could have either meant great news for the integration of baseball (Landis was extremely against integration and thus after he died and Happy Chandler became commissioner, that's when integration happened) or extremely bad news for integration (ie: the owners pact against integration). Babe Ruth would probably not have been seen as the "savior of baseball" and would have been seen as just a power hitter. Anyone want to expand on this some more? I mean the possibilities are almost endless with this one

A few new pictures of Tammy "Sunny" Sytch
Scarlett_Rayne replied to Downhome's topic in General Wrestling
she honestly looks better than she did a few months ago... she's not that far off from her original figure... that's the odd thing about women's weight, she honestly could be about 25 lbs off from "Sunny" weight, women just carry it so differently then men
