Chongo/chango: EDIT: I have a Costa Rican friend telling me that "chango," unchanged, is definitely the way to go. She's even more racist than I am, so I guess I'll go with that. -
Because they wanted to BS either guy into a title fight.

Fuck you, chongo. -
You'll likely get your wish. Vic hits way too hard and Jorge is way too hittable. He'll put up more of a fight than Mijares did before he goes down early. On the Brits, the thing that's always confused me is why they never seemed to like Lewis that much. Granted, he won his medal for Canada, but you figure they'd take some pride in having the best HW since Holmes calling himself a Brit.

Strikeforce buys EliteXC contracts and signs deal with CBS
Lei Tong replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I like the way Strikeforce is run much more than EliteXC was, so this should be a marked improvement. -
Karo deserved a win even less, in or out of shape, and I didn't say I scored it 10-8. Would it help if I put tags around the more important parts of my posts? [bLACKFIGHTER]Eat my asshole, EHME.[/bLACKFIGHTER]

I'm sure there'll be a decent Tamil MMA fighter to come along soon enough. Or at least a badass, wrestling Sikh.

If it forever rids the Earth of Puerto Ricans? Yes. Fact: When grown out, Kampmann's hair is actually even more Jew-y than Marquardt's.
-
I am, I just like giving Condit a hard time. Also helps to establish that I won't blindly cheer for any Hispanic fighter there is.
-
His cardio has failed him the last two time he's been pushed to a third round. EDIT- 2 of three. Forgot about the 3 rounding fucking of Wada. Fucking Wada.

Kampmann has defensive issues standing, but I definitely give him the edge on the mat. His top game is very underrated, as he mixes strikes and submissions very well, and his positioning is solid as well. Meanwhile, Condit's takedown defense has never been particularly good, as he suffers from the well rounded fighter's bane of not giving a fuck where the fight is happening. Assuming Kampmann can overcome his slow start (people forget that, aside from Marquardt enzuigiri'ing him, Kampmann does have a decent chin, tested against MW's), and engage Condit in a trench war in the clinch or on the ground, I see Condit fading just as he did against Healy and Miura, where he'll be worn down enough for Kampmann to stop him.
-
Leites alone is a better win than anyone Condit has beat. Plus, Kampmann doesn't have the same record of mental hiccups that Condit does. In his last fight, Condit went up against Miura, another MW dropping down to WW, who gave Condit a tough for for almost four rounds. The thing is, Miura isn't that good. I'm not saying Kampmann is a sure bet in this fight, but considering that Condit was being talked about as a possible contender in the UFC's deepest divsion, THAT's some overrated talk.

The first round was about as close to a 10-8 grapple fucking as you could come without actually latching onto a tight submission or scoring a big knockdown. Unfortunately, it's one fight where the 10 point system really did not translate well. In just about anyone's eyes, I don't think a case could be made that Karo's second round was equal to Kim's first, but they had to be scored equally. It's part of the reason I like Shooto's half point system, which gives a bit more flexibility in scoring. While I don't get too upset with the idea of a draw (as i think even rounds are more common than as scored), the idea that two judges gave Karo the third round for 2 takedowns and a glancing jumping knee is ridiculous. And it's depressing to think that to win the entire fight, Karo only needed to score 4-5 takedowns and attempt 1 submission in 15 minutes. EDIT- The mouthpiece spitting and fence grabbing made it a bit harder to take, too.
-
Kang couldn't match Kim's popularity in Korea even if he bled kimchi and got a stupid haircut.
-
So is no one else upset that the UFC's Korean cash cow was robbed? Racist bastards.
-
It speaks most of Condit's overratedness.

Yeah. The only exception I can think of for the moment is Joao Roque for Angola, because really, who the fuck else is there? I'm also kind of surprised nobody's noticed the white boy Breen had me slip in. -
Dan also legit killed Dave Phillips in the IFL. I'm pretty sure he's wanted for murder.

- Rios was born in California, Duarte was born in Tijuana. - Rutten is pretty much retired again, and far past his physical prime. If this were '98, I'd probably put him up. Schilt, if nothing else, is somewhat active, and despite being a limited fighter, is still comparable to most native born Dutchmen around nowadays. - I'll probably put Shinya Aoki for Japan, at least until KID stops being an injury-prone fag and starts fighting again. -

If it wasn't Overeem, it'd be Hardy, who doesn't yet have the wins to justify it just yet. -

Forgot Manhoef... for Suriname. I had Rashad over BJ originally, and go back and forth in my head. As is, the list is hardly meant to be definitive. Also considering Coenen for Netherlands, Daly for Ireland, and Lungu for Romania. -
