Bobby Lashley makes MMA debut on December 13th...

- Guida's a notorious douchebag. - Kenny Rice is fucking terrible, and while not as bad, Bas is a bit overrated as a commentator. -

I'll do a day. -
Oh, shit. It is, isn't it? I'll be staying with a bottle of Jack, then.

Followed by two blood-curdling screams (from the cut & lion, respectively). -

A couple of possible reasons: - Although against mostly inferior competition, Machida has generally looked more dominant than Rashad, who in his last bout was looking troubled by Forrest before smashing him. - Against their three common opponents, Machida dominated Tito while Rashad got a draw on a foul; Machida dominated Hoger while Rashad took a closer JD while taking his lumps; and Machida stopped Bonnar on a cut while Rashad took a JD. Plus, plenty of people think Machida has the style to frustrate Rashad or almost anybody else, really. -

That was one of the most ridiculous thing about MMA games thus far, especially the first PRIDE one: It was always the worst real-life submissions that were the most effective in the game. Why go for a RNC the opponent will almost always defend when you can get a tap 90% of the time by going for a shitty kneebar for backmount? Hell, if getting good position is too much work, you could simply let yourself get mounted and hit the dangerous guillotine from bottom mount. -

I was being facetious, plus it gave me a chance to mention that to the rest of the board, our folder is apparently full of shit posters. On FirePro's MMA gameplay: My main problem with it as a MMA game was that the game still operated mostly on pro-wrestling parameters. Outside of the low chance getting a Critical, you were going to have to wear your opponent down a good deal before he'd either submit or be TKO'ed. For my money, I liked Virtual Pro Wrestling 2's system, which combined AKI's great animations with a reasonable facsimile of Japanese shoot-style MMA and a decent mix of rule sets which you could tweak. One of the cooler features was being able to turn on the Quick Match option, after which any hard strike or submission attempt had the chance of endng the fight in one fell swoop. Of course, this could often lead to fights ending TOO quickly, but it was a nice alternative. -

I'm totally rocking this shit for my walk-out: -
Khan's a big, talented LW, while MAB is a small, old former-FW. Morales is going to look even worse if he's serious about trying to come back.

Now that anarchy rules around here, I say the MMA posters band together and impose our will against the rest of the board. The Worst Poster nominations only proves that they'll come after us if we don't get them first. -

Wow... that's actually kind of interesting. Jones holds a distinct striking and Greco-Roman advantage, but O'Brien is probably a better freestyle wrestler, with the type of stamina to actually take advantage of Jones fatiguing. -

Almost exactly the same as it always has, just with prettier, clunky graphics. MMA just cannot translate into a video game at this point. It doesn't help that it looks like as much thought went into "How can we get the facial physics of KO's down?" as anything else. -

Oh, man. Anyone remember the King of the Hill scene where Hank tells Bobby he can have his rose garden? That's me right now. Though it seems that more and more of my favorites are fighting YPOV's gym mates. -

Guida normally fights at LHW, but has had a couple of bouts at MW and routinely steps up to HW on short notice (he got subbed by Michael Russow just last year). -

If nothing else, Guida usually gets wrecked in some hilarious manner, so this win should look better than Lashley's last bout. -

I think Hazellet's best chance in this fight is that, despite being a better wrestler and more powerful striker, Johnson has shown something of a wrestler's instinct when he gets tagged standing, and thus may end up taking Hazellet without thinking. It can be a hard thing to let go of, since most wrestlers aren't as cool with getting bobble-headed as Koscheck. -
A guy in a brawl tried to sucker punch me in the nuts, but mostly caught the dick. Balls, plenty of time.

I'd prefer a series where Bas challenges wannabe' tough guys to the average Bro's idea of a street fight, which ends quickly with a kick to the nuts and a blunt object across their face. God I miss Bas old street fight stories. -
You can say with some legitimacy that it's Pavlik's handlers who don't want Abraham, but whilst Arthur has been calling for a unification bout for almost a year, the name out of Kelly's mouth post-Rubio was Duddy.

He's pretty raw, but he's a scrapper and improving. Dude can crack, though I haven't seen enough of him to know if he or Blackburn is more likely to let themself get caught. -
There was the exception you mentioned on the first page, whatever it means, so I'm not counting on some permanent peace. EHME- If nothing else, think of it as a favor the posters who lobbied to get you back, as you're making us look like even bigger assholes with your involvement in this "feud."

Seriously, just do it. The short break would be good for you, and if it gets the tired back and forth stopped for even a little while then it'll be worth it.
