The problem I have is that only 1 of the LW fights is actually a decent LW fight. Pulver, Lauzon, & Reinhardt are not true LW's, Abaddi is being brought in to lose, and Gurgel is a gay stripper. Now, the silver lining here is that with the abundance of cards the UFC is going to be having now, they might be setting up for a possible featherweight division. Of course, that's unlikely.

If Marco wanted really wanted Pacquiao, Manny's name would've been the first out of his mouth when asked who was left for him. Instead, he dropped the usual "I don't care... it's up to my promoters" lines. Merchant had to bring up Manny himself. His lack of interest in a rematch probably wouldn't be as infuriating if not for the number of excuses HBO's announce team made on Marco's behalf for the asswhipping he received.

There's little reason to believe Pacqiao wouldn't beat Barrera again, which is why, despite what Lampley might say, MAB has wanted little to do with a rematch since the first bout.

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...

Shitty fights, a dude choosing pussy over a potential title shot and the Shonie Show probably haven't inspired many people to watch. Aside from Matt Serra there really hasn't been a likable guy who has gotten any TV time thus far. I'm referencing the fact that he and alot of other people thought that by having a bunch of veterans in the house would lead to higher quality fights, more proffesionalism and less need for house drama. As it is, the fights are pretty much the same as usual, with guys who have good ground games dominating those who don't, and there's the aforementioned lack of personality amongst most of the fighters. Personally, I preffered some of the earlier seasons, simply because it was more entertaining for me to learn a bit more about and get behind young, under-the-radar fighters. -

Looks like the ratings this season suck, and I blame YPOV and his elitist attitude for jinxing it. Thanks alot, bro. -
That "fit Asian chick" was born a dude. So... would you?
-
I dunno about you, but I'd fuck that ex-dude with wreckless abandon.

I'd rather watch Ricardo Arona put his nuts in JJ Machado's ass for 10 minutes. -

Thus far, contrary to popular belief to before the season, the ratio of competitive to one-sided fights is now at 1:4, much like any other season. -
Don't worry, it's just Lei, he's always pissed off. I was just looking out for EHME. OR DON'T YOU LIKE BLACK PEOPLE?!
-
Actually, it was the seeming downplaying of Coleman's wrestling ability that nearly killed me. Self-pwnt.
-
Thanks for taking one for the team, bro.
-
It's not working at the moment, but Trigg pounding on JJ Machado's dome is a very iconic picture.
-
Please, please, PLEASE... in this folder, save the term "wrestling" to describe the sports of folkstyle, freestyle, & Greco-Roman wrestling, not simply because they're more applicable to MMA, but because reading things like... "Coleman's actually a half decent wrestler." ...makes me seize momentarily.

So what's the over/under on how many time Wlad needlessly clinches?

You picked Stout to beat someone with Guillard's wrestling background? Common. Oh, and Franca is a possiblity to lose to anyone with a decent mix of skills. -
Also, Sergei's defense is almost always lazy. I've knocked him for it before, and ironically should've considered that fact before I picked him to beat Aleks.
-
Everyone (me included) was quick to throw Sergei into the Top 5 despite his two biggest wins at the time coming over an overweight Ninja and the terribly limited Schilt, to say nothing of yet another example of Nog making a fighter look better than they are. Aleks, meanwhile, got large amounts of hype due to things other than his fighting ability (his brother, size, tattoos), and though he managed to quickly knock some scrubs out, he's looked routinely average against a higher level of competition. I think both qualify for the "overrated" tag (which, at this point, most any heavyweight can).
-
On Aleks/Sergei: "Has any fight ever so succinctly and perfectly showed the limitations of two drastically overrated fighters?" - MSIA Sig material, there.

Jeremy's stupid mainly for thinking he'd get the Leben Standard applied to him. Sorry, bud. Randy doesn't like you THAT much. -
Only a guy on horse steroids could survive the DEATH TOUCH!
