"Nasty words?" Oh, it's fuckin' on now.
-
Ed & Jesse get along? Shocking.
-
Now that I think about it, Noah probably gave up a place in the finals, assuming he could've avoided getting matched up with Bisping in the semifinals.
-
Season 1 had both LHW semis on the same episode, and I think Season 2 had an episode for each division's semis.
-
So when did Angle begin working the Dan Severn 2.0 style?
-
Forbes will run through Haynes much like Herman should but won't run through Rory.
-
Guess that's Kalib's way of saying "I still don't know why the fuck we needed a nutritionist when, you know, a jiu-jistu guy would've been good, but he did what he was there to do, so good on him." Stretch a rash guard to its utmost limit?
-
More from Kalib: As expected, Ken's boxing coach was at least pretty good.
-
Meh. I still preferred it to JVF 'tarding his way through Gurgel and Torres' pathetic ground display against Cummo.
-
It's called a "teep"... ....and Cummo's diet-breath could KO Goulet (a knock on Goulet's chin, not Luke's stank breath).
-
I think Koscheck will actually get onto the card, as I can't see Goulet/Cummo lasting long no matter the winner, so I imagine it'll be a swing bout.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Yes, they rematched at Rumble on the Rock 7. While Cabbage controlled the striking again at first, Tank managed to nail him with a huge overhand right, and followed up with a few more punches on the ground for the TKO. -
I actually thought Burkman/Guillard was one of the season 2's better fights, as though it was more methodical than most of the MW bouts, the athleticism and (relatively) higher technique in the bout put it just behind Cummo/Morgan (which, though sloppy, was a slugfest you could easily get into). Also, Forrest/Schoenauer doesn't really stand-out well after the initial shock that Easy Tappings wasn't completely raped in 30 seconds (yet was still taken out in less than a minute and a half), and for whatever reason, I never liked Bonnar/Southworth that much (I'll admit that this is probably just a quirk on my end). I think it'd have come closer had there been a more decisive finish to the bout as opposed to the pain simply becoming too much for Kalib. No fucking way. The fight doesn't even go to the ground unless Koscheck wants it too, and Diego's T-Rex stand-up isn't going to give Koscheck many problems. Koscheck via Spratt/Lawler.[/brokenrecord]

Christison is actually pretty decent by HW standards... which is to say, he's somewhat well rounded and huge. Oh well.
-
Diego's takedowns are usually pretty mediocre anyways. He's just so aggressive and relentless with them that they eventually work.
-
I missed it. What'd he say?
-
So next week, Ed pisses on Rory's stuff. Could he possibly try to imitate Leben any more?
-
Great showing by Kendall. Also, billiards aside, Tito is owning Ken. Kendall over Kalib? I never would've thought it.
-
I think Kendall's length has given him problems on the ground (though why he passed up the N/S kimura, I'll never know). Plus, he's been fighting since early in the second with a fucked up rib. This fight is Kendall's for the taking.
-
Good, if somewhat methodical fight so far. Kalib has the slight edge in the first 2 rounds, but Kendall has hurt him standing, possibly damaging his rib with a knee.
-
Oh, shit. Kalib dominates early, but it looks like the difference in team cardio may be Kendall's chance going into the second round.
-
"How do you lose to loser?" says the guy who lost to Scary Jerry.
-
OH, SHIT! THE SPOILERS ARE REDEEMED! Too bad Ross is getting stomped.

I was making comparisons between Forbes & Haynes when i said stronger, etc. However, I do think Jesse has taken to MMA more naturally than Hamill has, and he can throw a decent punch standing or from up top. His weak bottom game and lack of submission skills are likely to be taken advantage of by Hamill, who lacks the G&P or submissions to do so. I could see Jesse pushing the pace and landing the cleaner shots in between getting taken down by Matt en route to a JD.
