I'm still not sold on Stout's ground game (and Stevenson is bad on his back) so considering that Guillard is a skilled, VERY athletic wrestler, he would give both huge problems. Everyone else beats him, though.

I've definitely seen less skilled fights on a lower level or in MMA's earlier days, though it's easily one of the sloppiest fights I've seen on a semi-bigtime level. Also, ironically, Rashad's fights weren't THAT bad outside of the Murphy fight. VS Whitehead was worth it to watch Rashad's lightning quick switch and Matt Hughes ripping Whitehead a new one, VS Jardine was a competitive slugfest, and VS Imes was entertaining if very sloppy.

Gomi/Santos was worse to me.

Matt will likely never have Tanner's type of well-rounded submission game (and should never go for a flying triangle), nor does he seem to be that natural a striker.

Stephen Martinez is Sherdog's only writer I like (and is quite good, considering English isn't his first language), and some of the guys from BoutReview are okay. Horinaka won on 3 takedowns worth 1 point each, from what I've heard he didn't engage Jean Jacques on the ground for long at any point so JJ didn't even have the chance to rack up points for sub attempts (which were worth 3 points). Meh. Aoki would've simply broken Hironaka's arm again had he tried that with him. JJ is getting old now. Apparently he still tapped BJ Penn 5 times in a row recently when he visited but he basically didn't get to play his game against Hironaka from what I have heard so it's not surprising he lost. Lister OWNED him at ADCC so I think he's lost his competitive edge personally. It could also be because Lister's an excellent grappler from 2 weight classes higher who isn't content to lay on guys as much as Arona. Besides, even closer to his prime JJ lost to Serra, so it's not as though he's ever been unbeatable, and it should still serve as notice considering Hironaka is, at best, a very distant second in his weight class on the Japanese grappling scene.
