The chances of Danny landing a KO strike are much higher than Forbes being able to hold Bisping down for 10 minutes.

I dunno. St. Pierre has taken up almost every aspect of fighting pretty well, but in terms of overall experience, he's still on the low side. And, as someone at BK mentioned, you can't teach athleticism, which GSP has in excess. Oh, and on the accent: it may not be a big problem in training where you have all the time in the world to fully explain what you're saying, but during a fight, when a fighter needs good advice from his corner at a second's notice, trying to decipher an accent can be crippling. -
Also, Abaddi's only chance is if Ed decides to trade flying knees with him.
-
Wait I'm confused as to what you're saying here. Are you saying all MMAers can't fight or just the low level guys? Because you say you don't neccesarily think anyone who's in MMA can fight but then you say that you know they can't fight for shit compared to pro MMA'ers? I like to think that most MMA guys can beat the shit out of your joe everybody in a one on one bar fight. By "anyone," I meant to imply that someone who fights in MMA doesn't necessarily know how to fight (though of course they're are plenty who do). Also, considering MOST MMA'ers are of the lower level, Hicksville Fighting Organization-type, they're usually not that far beyond of the average bar patron.

No, he isn't. If he was a good grappler, he would have finished Haynbes when he had that armbar, or that triangle. Add in the fact that outside of knees his striking is almost non existant, he has next-to-no wrestling ability, and a shaky chin, and I can easily say he's one of the worst fighters I've seen lately, and that includes rookie SHOOTO guys barely out of their teens. Also, I don't necessarily think anyone who's in MMA can fight, at least in the sense of giving a good account of themselves in the cage or ring, and that's even before comparing them to the cream of the crop. For example: I've had an amateur match before, and could probably kick the shit out of some of the fighters I've seen on lower level shows. At the end of the day though, I know I can't fight for shit, especially compared to even moderately skilled pro MMA'ers.

Weak argument. Am I as good a fighter as Tait? Of course not. Does that mean I can't make a comparative statement to the hundreds of guys out there who could stomp on him? Of course not. Don't be such a vag.

Longer than Jesse lasts with Bisping.

Oh, and let me be among the first to say that I don't think GSP would be a very good coach. -

"I want to preface this by noting all the stats I collected were from numerous sources, and some sources had conflicting information. Don't fucking e-mail me, bitching, that someone's record is off by 1 loss or win, or that their height is off by an inch. If you're one of those know-it-all pieces of garbage, do me a favor: skip this column and go walk in front of a bus." -from the InsidePulse dude who talks about the UFC I'd like to think that this was directed towards me. Oh, and write-up sucked balls, btw. -
Dalby Shirley will never not piss people off.

Haynes by Lion Takeshi (knockdown). Nothing else would make sense. Also, Tait can't fight. You're not wrong there.

Please watch some Class A SHOOTO and forget this fight ever happened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRzBwyC9Ev8

Oh, god... another round. I don't think I can take it.
-
.. and now Tait just took himself down. I want to gouge my eyes out.

"Rory is fucking on some psycho motivator shit." -MSIA

It's no exaggeration to say Koscheck was twice the striker these guys are at the same point in the show, and that's just with an overhand right and low kicks.
-
I'm rooting for Haynes simply because he has my love handles.

"Tait's striking... IS HORRIBLE." - Dana White, on the punchless bodyguard

Fuck. Looks like one of the spoilers was finally off.

True, but Nick's stock has dropped a good deal, and I'd say Braga, Monson, Sonnen & Bonnar are better wins than Santiago, Gassaway, & Florian Damn, I always forget about Forrest's pre-TUF fights! People seem to have forgotten how respected/feared Forrest was in Season 1, and for good reason, as he had already beaten a level of guys above most of the other competitors themselves. In other words, he was Bisping with a better resume. -

Some good and not-so-good fights round out the line-up: Olaf Alfonso vs Hayato Sakurai - Should be an exciting brawl until Sak knees Olaf's head off. Of course, he'd be smart to make this a quick and uninteresting ground battle. Murilo Bustamante vs Amar Suloev - Like Henderson, Busta is showing his age in almost every other fight, so Suloev stands a good chance of kicking his teeth in... or standing around, getting jabbed. Phil Baroni vs Kazuo Misaki - Misaki has the skills to take Baroni down and sub him, but the fact that Baroni goes into overdrive against Japs has me worried. Akihiro Gono vs Hector Lombard - Lombard gets his wish, which is to get pwnt by my boy in the opening round. Of course, Gono has trouble with guys who set a torrid pace early, but eventually Hector's crack power is gonna' run out or lead to a mistake, at which point it's the Gono Show. Murilo Rua vs Denis Kang - If YPOV's boy doesn't outclass Kang here, I'm holding him personally responsible for the ensuing increase in Kang nuthugging. Paulo Filho vs Yoon Dong Sik - No, this won't be another boring Filho win that is somehow considered exciting because he finishes. Mitsuhiro Ishida vs Marcus Aurelio - MMAos material after Ishida suplexes Aurelio through the mat, but it'll be much easier on my constitution to perhaps rank Ishida @ 1 than Marcus. Tatsuya Kawajiri vs Charles Bennett - G&P display. Nothing more. Jason Black vs Eoh Won Jin - I pray that Jin kills Black so I never have to see him fight on a huge card again, but sadly I don't think it's in the cards, though I'll take a win via Korean wrestling prowess.
