Hatsu "the Iron Broomstick" Hioki submitted Mark Hominick at the end of the 2nd round tonight to become the new TKO champion. Bow down to your Japanese overlord, Canananadians. -

Because an actual triangle choke is much more effective, and can actually win the match. Though to be fair, they are used in conjunction with the N/S kimura. -

Fuck, wrong thread. -
Well, that and the shittiest training known to man..half the previews now are "How terrible of a coach will Ken be THIS week?" Ken's just training them smart.[/rrr]

Actually, I think Solomon showed more physical prowess than skill. Looks like he may need to get out of the Freestyle Academy.

Rory needs to drop an "oy vey!" before he leaves tonight.

Short of having an 18-wheeler dropped on him, Fedor will still take the rest of the field with ease. -

I think even the most ardent of Hunt supporters will realize that TK's line is worth a look, especially since it's rumoured that Hunt is coming in even heavier than in the Nishijima fight. -

Your boys Shogun & Azaredo are probably the closest we'll ever come. -

Because we're always interested in how a monkey kung-fu stylist would do against a fat sumo wrestler. -

Bit your fucking tongue. Paco is the shit. Actually, the guy who played him (Paulo Tocha) is actually a real former MT competitor and now trainer. -

If I come up with a good idea, I'll take it. Of course, my (slight) Native American heritage leads me to be wary of you, Pale Face, so I'll get back to you. -
More proof that money talks. Of course, considering Sak's shape and K-1's relatively weak divisions, this has no real competitive meaning.

The chick you're referring to is Miyata's wife, who K-1 loves to show crying, hence the usual matchmaking regarding Miyata, in contrast Yamamoto's wife & sisters, who are always shown in pure juiblation as he murders people. I'm actually suprised they didn't do a split screen shot of Miyata's wife hysterically crying while shielding her kids' eyes as the Yamamoto family celebrates. -

I'd say Hioki has a better shot at beating Hominick than Gurgel. -
Brock could probably spend the next few years in a coma and still shoot a double the second he comes out of it. As for submissions... eh, who knows? Many big time wrestlers coming into MMA hardly train submissions at all, or do so with a bunch of other wrestlers, hence defeating the purpose.

Well, Kerr was supposedly off the pain killers by the time of the first GP, and all the mediocre showings that followed. Of course, it would seem he's off the sauce now, too, so it's up in the air just how he'll do against Simms.

To be fair, I don't think Sak had much of anything to trouble Vitor much that night, which sans flukish hand break, Vitor probably wins 9 times out of 10.
