Pretty much only the top level guys in all of MMA make a living solely off of competing.
-
A few notes: -Franklin is on a 9 fight contract with pay that steadily increases with every fight. Hence, he doubled, IIRC, what he made agaisnt Quarry, and is likely to jump into 6 figures by his next fight. - The UFC has only rcently become a money maker for Zuffa. Up until last year, they conisistently lost money on the company, and are unlikely to increase the payscale drastically until the UFC's newfound popularity is proven to have legs. - Marquardt is making decent bank early in his UFC tenure because unlike most MMA fighters, he's actually smart enough to get good management, unlike say, someone like Sean Sherk.

Let's do some spring cleaning on folder subtitles.

Matt Hughes via left jab-Superman punch-slam.

How Japanese of you.

Oh, and: "...Azeredo vs. Hansen might be the ugliest lightweight ranking fight in MMA history. Other than Hallman vs. Pulver." -MSIA
-
Oh, shit. Kondo at 183lbs? I never thought I'd see the day.
-
Like I said to YPOV: I think Hughes can survive longer on his feet with GSP than GSP can survive if Matt gets on top of him.
-
Actually, up until the Eastman fight, I beleive he competed as a small HW against the likes of Myers, Brink, Fulton, etc.
-
Silva via 15 more pounds of roid rage. brain guess-timated about 8,000.
-
Well, I guess if you ignore the "performance" part of the post, that's all fine and dandy.
-
Penn/St. Pierre was worse sober. I have no clue how anyone could be any more than slightly satisfied with either guy's performance. "WHOO! BJ showed poor cardio and gave the fight away, and even then GSP could barely mount any offense! WHOO!" Hopefully a title bout rematch between the two will wash away the awful taste that fight left with me.
-
Im drining the pain that YPOV again outpiked me w/deatails. Diegos wreslting > diaz TD defense stout > spencer cutting on2 dags notice PS-drinking again. dont epexcy shit tiel tomorrow.

I RWALLY hate that GPS/Penn was deicded by tkaedowns. Boths guys underperformed. Fuck. More when buzz cxompletely gone.

At his best, Yves would stand a decent shot of beating Fisher. However, chances are Yves would be more than happy to let Spencer tee off on him and offer little in return en route to a Unanimous JD loss.
-
Just FYI- the preview there is written by my boy brainuse, who'll be in attendance and hopefully getting drunk enough to try and double leg Mark Coleman.
-
Fisher's a soft WW, and I wouldn't be suprised if he was already walking lower in anticipation for a future LW debut. However, even if drained, he has the ground skills to submit Stout handily.
-
I've mentioned it before: Fisher is the UFC's uncrowned LW champion (and no, I'm not forgetting Yves).
-
Oh, man. Fisher is going to hurt Stout. Badly.
-
Weight arguably has little to do with it. Overeem tends to fold when he starts to get tested, which Kharitonov failed to do. I'll wait until Overeem gets into a real battle at HW before I declare him a "beast."

"Debate" implies too much intelligent thought to accurately describe your normal Sherdog discussion.
