He'll be back for the Legends of Texas Wrestling roundtable during March.

Also it seems like Vince himself wanted to induct Austin, so he bumped Flair, who as the above indicates, is induction Steamboat. Glad to see Steamboat is going in, and Flair is the one that will be inducting him. This is shaping up to be quite the class: -Steve Austin (I wouldn't be shocked if McMahon does induct him) -Ricky Steamboat (Flair inducting) -Bill Watts (Jim Ross inducting) -The Funks (Still waiting to see if this is confirmed, but I would be shocked if they didn't get the nod - My guess is Dusty will induct them) -The Von Erichs (See above and below) I wonder who gets the remaining spot or two. Do they give it to The Freebirds by virtue of the ceremony being in Texas or does Hayes' actions from last year cost them a spot this year? (Although, I can see Hayes being one to induct the Von Erich family) What did Hayes do last year? The whole racial incident that nearly cost Hayes' his job.

That's a pretty good box design.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

I remember watching Wrestlemania XVI/2000 and being 100% sure Wrestlemania XVII was going to be in Atlanta as the final middle finger to Turner and WCW. -
The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

Yup... here's the link: http://www.prowrestling.net/artman/publish...le1004704.shtml I've been reading people's comments about WrestleMania coming to Phoenix at an Arizona-themed blog. Not surprisingly, the majority of the comments are people bitching about this announcement. Which leads me to ask the question: When did the "Only rednecks watch professional wrestling" stereotype start? Maybe I'm just ignorant about pro wrestling history, but rednecks and wrestling have just never gone hand in hand with me. Kids? Yeah. Idiots. Sure. I get those stereotypes. But I've always wondered how watching professional wrestling became something only rednecks are supposed to watch. Is it because wrestling is as arty as a Larry The Cable Guy show? Probably so. Most people see wrestling as "low-brow" entertainment... the type rednecks would enjoy. The fact a large portion of the industry, although not the entire portion, has history in the south adds to the stereotype (People do tend to forget or not even know that the biggest wrestling company out there is located in the heart of Yankee-land.) -

I may be the only guy who actually liked WrestleMania 2's set up, so I would like to see this. I always wondered if they could pull off a show on three different continents with this set up too. That would make Mania look really world-class and big. That would be the logistical nightmare from hell. -
HHH just saw Warrior in the mirror!

This portion so needs London laughing as all this is happening.
-
It was a far better showing than he put up at Wrestlemania when he was ECW Champion.
-
Points to whoever called Chavo's involvement...
-
Yeah... and that's what I'm basing the Von Erich Claw hold bit on. He did it at one of those reunion shows in Dallas, and when Von Erich put on the claw... the place lost their minds. I totally expect a Jericho/Von Erich confrontation here in the coming weeks.
-
Yeah... I also fully expect to see Kevin Von Erich bust out the claw hold on Jericho in Houston as well.
-
This just continues to scream involving Steve Austin as the blow-off to this angle.
-
The throat, Jericho! Go for the throat!
-
Show the picture! Show the picture! Steamboat's half-awake, and Jericho is in total mark-mode.

Because it's Wrestlemania time, and they needed someone to do this angle.
-
That's one of my all-time favorite matches as well.
-
Heel Jericho vs. Steamboat in his prime would have been an awesome feud. And if Jericho attacks Steamboat, he BETTER go for the throat!
-
I would think so... and that will be another heat generating segment. I also kind of wish they'd bring up the fact that the 3rd match with Flair in 1989 happened in the city where they are at right now.
-
Vince will induct Austin... JR will induct Bill Watts.
-
Questions. Who would have played the part of Apollo Creed? And who would have done the big James Brown "Living In America" show they did before the match? Apollo Creed - He could have crushed MVP during the losing streak. I'm at a loss on the James Brown bit, as important as that element is.

Welcome to the Hall of Fame Ricky Steamboat! It's been LONG overdue!

I love how Noble was basically frozen in the ring.

Poor Jamie... Mike's beard looks extra angry tonight.
