I do kind of like Khali as the bad-ass insurance policy for the smaller guys.

Apparently a video exists of Cornette sticking a banana up his ass. Not sure of the validity, though.

Agreed. We should be getting that episode of Raw on 24/7 in a few months.

I'm pulling for the Clash, strictly to see the Horsemen vs The Midnight Express. Agreed 100%

workers who get called great but you disagree

I didn't know many people praised his matches. Agreed. I thought most people considered Douglas overrated.

    24/7 Shorties

Not mention WCW's core audience at the time (At least what the company was built upon) wouldn't have been considered rap fans by any stretch.

    24/7 Shorties

It's just mind-numbing to watch the Rap is Crap video and realize WCW thought the fans would get behind Master P's group instead of the West Texas Rednecks.

Not to mention the economic factor of taking potential seats and ticket revenue out of play.

Let's Talk About... The Apter Mags

The two magazines I always bought (At least after reading them in the grocery store at the magazine aisle first) were PWI and the WWE magazine. PWI always "confused" me when they called Mr. Perfect "Curt Henning" or listed Rick Martel as being from Montreal even though he was "supposed" to be from Boca Raton (Or was his gimmick hometown Cocoa Beach?). I remember the little things like that, along with the arena reports and the ads for Champions of the Galaxy... I LOVED that game.

I'm about to go off-topic a little, but did Flair ever wrestle Andre? This tape lists a tag-match featuring Flair and Andre on opposite ends: http://www.wrestletapes.net/bestofricflairvol1.html

Bret Hart would be mine. I liked Bret a great deal as a kid, but as I look back on it now... there really wasn't anything special to it. I did like Bret during the Hart Foundation run in '97, but Montreal left me with a bad impression of him. I guess I have now progressed to looking at pro-wrestling with a business and economic viewpoint, and how that should be a determining factor when it comes to deciding who is called "great". Flame away.

I also like the fact we're getting Tuesday from Texas plus post-Survivor Series '97 Raws and Nitros.

they would never of worked as a heel/face

I think Cena could go back to being a heel quite easily. The economics of the situation will never allow it, at least not in the near future. Still, super baby-face John Cena generates a lot of heel heat... so if he really cranked it up, he could be the biggest heel they have (And just by default, put him in a feud with Randy Orton, have them switch places, and people would be cheering Orton like mad to beat the snot out of Cena)

    Guys who you THOUGHT sucked

I remember reading that as well. Bockwinkel would have done a good job with it, but DiBiase had a youthful touch to the character - a rich, young playboy. Bockwinkel would have come across more like he did in the AWA - the sophisticated heel champion - as opposed to the cocky, young, rich guy.

workers who get called great but you disagree

As it's been already said but it needs repeating, Dusty drew ridiculous amounts of money and was only behind Andre the Giant in terms of national popularity in a time when wrestling was at its most regional. Calling Dusty a "bad worker" is ludicrous. He knew how to work a crowd to the building, and he knew how to work them when they were in the seats. Being a great "technical" wrestler is so vastly overrated, it's not even funny anymore. If you can generate money, which Dusty did, that's ALL that matters. Period. Dusty had "it" as did all the other great draws that might not be consider great "workers".

    Guys who you THOUGHT sucked

Agreed. DiBiase is remembered so fondly because of how well he played the Million Dollar man gimmick. Off topic slightly a second i remember a story i heard that the million dollar man gimmick was meant for someone else but i can not ever remember who it was. History as shown it worked out will as dibiase played the role so well. The story goes that they wouldn't tell DiBiase what the gimmick was before he jumped to the WWE. All they told him to reassure his doubts was, "If Vince could wrestle, this is the gimmick he'd give himself." I don't know if some other worker was in line for the Million Dollar Man. I do know there is a story that Terry Taylor was considered for the Mr. Perfect gimmick since he and Curt came in at about the same time.
