Here is the line-up from the show (Takes place in early 1987) -Arn Anderson vs. Barry Windham from Philadelphia, Pennslyvania -Jimmy Garvin vs. Brad Armstrong from Washington D.C. -The Mod Squad vs. The Batten Twins from St. Louis, Missouri -Interview with Rick Rude and Manny Fernandez -The Rock and Roll Express vs. Ivan Koloff and Vladimir Petrov from Hollywood, Florida -Hype for the 1987 Crockett Cup in Baltimore -Dusty Rhodes vs. Tully Blanchard from Los Angeles, California -Apparently the first interview with Magnum after he recovered from the crash in 1986 -Ric Flair vs. Nikita Koloff from Charlotte, North Carolina -Road Warrios vs. Midnight Express: SCAFFOLD MATCH from Los Angeles, California All of these looked to have been filmed on the tour after Starrcade '86. Too bad we didn't get the Starrcade footage of Cornette absolutely destroying his knee from taking the fall off the scaffold in that match. The show is interesting because it's basically a tease of what we will be getting in the next several months on the regular NWA show schedule, especially after they finish up with all the Bash angles. They'll be starting to transition into the programs that developed Starrcade '86, and unfortunately, we're getting closer and closer to the period where Magnum actually had the car accident.

The moment your favorite superstar or any wrestler jumped the shark

I LOVED Commissioner Foley! I thought he was great in that role! Nothing beats Foley and HHH's interaction during HHH's kinda-face run in mid 2000, where HHH and Foley would make fun of Kurt crying at the Olympics. Funny shit. That and seemingly making Edge and Christian's lives a living hell every week. Foley was on the money during that period. -
Would we even consider Jake a credible source at this point?

Haas Hogan!!!

Watts had heat with Jake from the Mid-South days, but it wasn't over him leaving for the WWF. In his shoot interviews, Watts has actually praised Jake for leaving the proper way and being willing to do what was right on the way out. When the newsletters got wind of it, Watts intentionally had Jake leave the area with a win and then he came back to drop the title he was holding.

Yeah, but the dog-collar match is usually the more brutal of the three since the wrestlers are attached to the chain by the neck.

Should be noted for just an awesome tirade Paul E. has on Medusa. Plus, I'll never forget the videos they used to hype the Spin the Wheel/Make the Deal Match. The gimmick in that match (Coal Miners Glove) was definitely a let-down in terms of what it could have been.

I thought he was calling his manager Fred Blassie an intelligent Jew in that interview.

The Sheik/Andre legends roundtable has always been my favorite. Hayes telling the story about how Sheik almost got him arrested at a D.E.A. checkpoint is priceless as is Rhodes telling the story about how Andre pissed on him in a whorehouse in New Orleans.

Do I even need an explanation if it's Chris Benoit? -

It might have been a formality, but I'm glad the WWE saved Austin's first title win for Wrestlemania. They could have hot-shotted the belt on him numerous times, but they showed incredible restraint in waiting until the spring of 1998.

I wonder how many of those buys came during the week before the PPV where word came out that Bret was leaving... and how many came off the replay to see the screwjob actually happen.

The Rock had another good one at WMXX before him and Foley took on Evolution.

It'd be nice if Jericho and Regal formed an official alliance of sorts.

If we were pushing into November, that would make a pretty nice Survivor Series match.
-
Kind of makes me wonder how much, if any, of that exchange was ad-libbed.

These two teams are doing a great job of playing off of each other. The "Come on Cletus" line was awesome.

Jonas Brothers groupies... That was pretty good.

Khali barking out Indian while a kiss-cam is happening is strangely funny.

Santino vs. Piper, Goldust, or Honky Tonk Man... Oh please let it be the Honky Donky Man!
-
Yay! Jericho's in charge! And yeah... his mouth looked pretty messed up. The Benoit smile is an eerie touch.

It's going to be something watching these episodes of Raw that lead into the Survivor Series '97 now. The contempt Shawn and Bret had for each other is so thick and obvious, it's not even funny. And I agree with everyone else... watching Owen's facial expressions in this episode is both eerie and sad, especially considering the show is from the Kemper Arena.

Judging from the reactions he was getting as heel, I find it hard to believe they couldn't have turned him babyface, especially if Sting was behind Muta in terms of going after Flair. I know it had a lot to do with what the Horsemen did earlier in the evening, but if you watch the six-man cage match from the Clash of Champions where the Horsemen turned on Sting... J-Tex, especially Muta, was getting a major face pop.
