With Candice out of the match at Wrestlemania, why not just make it a Beth/Maria match or have a "surprise" partner like Mickie? Edit: When I said surprise... I didn't mean Ashley

I think that would be the best route..have Flair announce his retirement right after the match, give a farewell promo, everybody comes out and hugs him. As old wrestlers say... it's best to go out on your back. I kind of always wanted to see the original ending proposed: Flair leaving his boots and robe in the ring in a similar way to what amateur wrestlers do after their last match.

Flair pushed him into this because he got pissed off at Michaels' "flattery".

This is the angle this match has so needed...

Well, to be honest JBL, we don't know any of the rules for Big Show/Mayweather... although I wonder if Big Show will get DQ'ed if he tries to eat Floyd like it was suggested.

I'd imagine they'll have Rocky Johnson/Peter Maivia's induction open the broadcast, and Flair's induction will close it. I do hope, however, HHH wouldn't stoop low enough to point of talking smack against The Rock during Flair's induction.

So, the inductees look like this: Flair being inducted by HHH Mae Young being inducted by Stephanie McMahon Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia being inducted by The Rock Eddie Graham being inducted by Dusty Rhodes Who inducts The Brisco Brothers? Pat Patterson? Someone else? Also, if they announce Gordon Solie tonight, is it a given that Jim Ross will induct him? Finally, who makes the broadcast? It's certain that Flair, Mae Young, and Rocky/Peter Maivia will, but usually it's four inductees on the show. Do the Brisco Brothers, Graham, or Solie get the spot or do they just do three on the actual broadcast?

I wish he would do this so that it would be HIM deciding to retire and not being "forced" to by Mcmahon. Being forced to retire in the storyline because he loses sort of disrespects him I think. So him deciding to retire, win, lose, or draw, would allow him the respect of calling it quits on his own..the way it should be. Would expect this to be an emotional segment as Flair is probably going to lose it. They gave him the key to the city (columbia) and he got all teary eyed. It's hard to believe that we are less than a week away from the last Flair match. After watching him for 2 and a half decades, its going to be surreal to know it's over. I can't wait to see what type of reaction he gets from the crowd tonight.

Even with half of Amyway Arena being used for the Hall of Fame ceremony this year, it's going to be hard for the crowd to act like they've done in the past. The theater settings have allowed for the chants and "rowdy fans" to be picked up a whole lot more than they will be this year.

I read it's because Sydal is about the same height as Mayweather.
