I thought it was (Turning on comedic Vince McMahon voice) about the money!

Curse of the hometown hero... you tend to get humiliated when you come home. Still, Finlay looked bad-ass in that segment and makes me want to see him and JBL beat the hell out of each other that much more.

Too bad Freddie Blassie isn't around anymore to lead Sheik and Volkoff against the dreaded U.S. Express.

When did Edge and Kane have a Wrestlemania match, outside of Money in the Bank? I kind of hope we get Jericho/Regal to play off their little exchange from when Jericho was going into Money in the Bank.

I wonder if they can put together any other matches using the road agents... On second thought, I don't think they can. Heck, I can't even find a match they can use Jim Duggan for, unless Ted DiBiase is wrestling tonight (Rematch from WMIV).

I agree about UT/Edge because it could provide the happy moment for the bulk of the fans with the streak continuing, but HHH/Cena/Orton will main event. The closing will most likely be HHH celebrating a championship victory (Him being the front runner to win since Cena is about to shoot his next film, and they're not ending this Wrestlemania with Orton going out on top). In terms of Michaels... it looks as if Vince is going to be hands-off with all angles other than JBL/Hornswaggle/Finlay. Still, I wish he would have forced Michaels to put his career on the line just to add a little more to what Michaels has at stake (Then it could have allowed Shawn to play the pseudo-heel).

So right now we got Carlito, Jericho, Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Shelton, and MVP. Who gets the remaining two spots? Does anyone think the front runners for the remaining two spots are Matt Hardy and Kane?

Summerslam was taped 2 days prior to air. I believe it was taped on a Saturday in London and aired Monday night in the States. Nope, Summerslam '92 aired in the U.S. on August 29, 1992, which was a Saturday. It aired on a tape delay of a few hours. Summerslam '93 aired on a Monday, so you're probably thinking of that. Summerslam was historically a Monday evening event. '92 was taped on the Saturday and aired two days later in the United States. The last Monday Summerslam was 1994.

I might get blasted for this, but London would probably be considered to host a Wrestlemania before Mexico City.

I'd see them in St. Louis before Minneapolis, although both are cities with great wrestling histories. Still, they might not fall into the "tourist destination" requirement for a host city.

In a blink or you'll miss it moment, watch for Teddy Long on the newest NWA episode. As Arn Anderson is about to start his match against Mike Jackson, Pee Wee Anderson hands the TV title belt to Long, who is at ringside. Also, the press conference for the Crockett Cup is very interesting from a historical perspective considering Bill Watts is a part of it.

I agree... although I did like when Shamrock started to "snap", especially after his match with the British Bulldog at Summerslam '97.

Arn Anderson should really be the only person to induct Flair. No idea about Mae, but Jim Ross would most likely induct Gordon Solie.

I dunno......everyone KNEW HHH was going over Cena at Wrestlemania 22. I mean, yea theres probably less than zero chance Orton will retain, but theres always an outside possibility. As much as I'd like Orton to retain, this is looking like a definite "happy ending" Wrestlemania.

The first major event in the Cowboys' new stadium is not going to be Wrestlemania. Dallas might be pushed back a bit since they probably won't do two Texas Wrestlemanias back to back. I think Houston and then Glendale will probably be the next two locations.

PWInsider is reporting that 50 Cent will accompany Floyd Mayweather to the ring at Wrestlemania. In addition to him, John Legend, and Snoop Dogg, Kim Kardashian and Raven-Symone are also appearing at the event.

According to the article in the Orlando Sentinel about how Orlando made an active push to get the event this year, Atlantic City was a definite option. This is from the article: "Plus, WWE wanted WrestleMania 24 in a tourist destination. So Orlando was on a list with Miami, Tampa, Atlantic City and Las Vegas."

WWE General Discussion - March 2008

That's what I was thinking since a Wrestlemania in the new Cowboys stadium might be a ways off now due to the fact they are going to Houston next year. I had made a comment about this before, but with the recent trend being NFL retractable roof stadiums, large scale arenas, or even an outdoor venue, the following cities are possibilities: (Note, some cities might not want to host Wrestlemania. Orlando, among others, made an active bid to get the event. Also, the WWE is looking for cities that are good tourist locations and can cater to a lot of people coming in for the event.) Indianapolis - Lucas Oil Stadium St. Louis - Can't believe they haven't tried one at the TWA Dome due to the wrestling history St. Louis has Las Vegas - I wouldn't be shocked if they did one here again real soo New Orleans - A Wrestlemania in the Super Dome would be an interesting event Atlanta - The regulations might be a big problem here as well as the stigma of WCW. I seriously thought WM17 or 18 would have been in the Georgia Dome Toronto - I can see them going back here in the near future Glendale - There were indications the city was making an active push to get the event so I imagine they'll be in the hunt in the next few years Dallas - Might be thrown off a bit since Houston is getting WM25 Seattle - I can see them returning here as well New York - Wrestlemania 30... book it

agreed. He plays the roll perfectly. On top of that he sells everyone's offense like he was just shot, which makes his opponents look great. The man deserves more credit. I'll be another to say that Orton has definitely impressed the hell out of me recently. He plays the heel to perfection as he doesn't try to be a "cool" heel, and as the previous poster mentioned, he is an excellent seller.

If Randy Orton is in charge next week, he should bring back the source of HHH's greatest Wrestlemania shame... The Ultimate Warrior!

Good question... although I'd like to see Jake Roberts come back and try to get revenge for the squash Taker gave him at Wrestlemania VIII. they should dig up Giant Gonzalez since Taker only beat him cause he tried to choroform him to death and got DQed. You guys aren't thinking big. There's no better person for an Undertaker opponent comeback then... Sid. Agreed, although Taker will probably be used as "punishment" for HHH or Orton.
