Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he win the WrestleWar '89 match against Steamboat with the figure-four? Seems like I remember Steamboat missing a key move, hurting his leg, and Flair going in for the kill at that point. Edit - nevermind, he won with a pinfall in that one.

John Cena calls out the The Rock for leaving wrestling
Diamonddust replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
I also find it interesting, albeit for different reasons, that Cena is calling out the man that basically allowed the 5 Knuckle Shuffle to get over. If it wasn't for The Rock being able to turn a simple elbow drop into one of the most anticipated moves in his matches, Cena would have never been able to do a similar manuever. -
WWE General Discussion - February 2008

I'd definitely buy it, although I'd be watching to see who shoots on the other guy first. -
The biggest I can think of off the top of my head is against Terry Funk in the I Quit match. Funk sold it as if Flair was ripping his legs apart.

John Cena calls out the The Rock for leaving wrestling
Diamonddust replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Good lord... if people think Cena gets booed now, just imagine that crowd reaction if he had an encounter with The Rock. The Rock got out on top and went on to bigger and better things. It's obvious that some resent this (Not just Cena). No matter how much "they love" the business, there isn't a wrestler out there that wouldn't want to trade places with The Rock right now. I mean how many former wrestlers can say they were a presenter at the Academy Awards? -
meh and then 2 minutes later they boo him. Stupid wrestling fans don't know what they like or don't like. It was easily a majority booing him earlier, they cheer his entrance, then when boo him when he's hitting kennedy in the corner. go figure. Booing Cena has become the "cool" thing to do for older wrestling fans.
-
Now they're booing him....
-
He'll probably soak up the huge reaction for a bit, maybe do the eyebrow and the "Finally...", and then say something like "Tonight's not about me..."
-
Makes you wonder if they'll even try to get him to stay over and do a spot at Wrestlemania.
-
Add Peter Maivia and Rocky Johnson to the list.
-
Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia are going into the Hall... looks like The Rock's schedule was clear.
-
I remember when that was Test's gimmick for a while. For some reason I was expecting HBK to pull a major dick move and Superkick Flair after the hug. I was expecting the opposite... Flair turning heel.
-
Same here, but using the Andre the Giant logic... they wouldn't want to do that match and risk someone making Big Show look smaller.
-
I like where Flair is going with this...
-
MITB will have 8 spots... so two more in that one... There will also be a Maria/Candice tag-match... probably against Beth and Melina... Plus you've still got the ECW Title out there, the two tag-champs, and unfortunately the likes of Khali and Henry.
-
Kind of funny they'll let Smackdown get the win in the "Superiority of the Brands" match.
-
Looking like we're going to get two good brawls in Umaga/Batista and JBL/Finlay.
-
If they do go with Umaga/Batista, that opens some spots in Money in the Bank... We've got Jericho, Hardy, and Kennedy... On Smackdown, they can go with Kane, MVP, and probably one more ECW... Two out of Kofi, Elijah, Shelton, Punk, and Chavo (All depending on what they do with the ECW Title at Wrestlemania)
-
Looks like we're getting Umaga/Batista...
-
Looks like D.H. is still on punishment.
-
This just took a turn...
-
Looks like part of the build to JBL/Finlay with Vince and Hornswaggle playing a role. If they are doing a rumored Hornswaggle turn, I can see him making his return in the match... only to whack Finlay with the shillelagh.
-
I wouldn't be shocked if the finish of the MITB involved the both of them... that is after they dispose of Kennedy, who is being built as the other major threat.
-
I agree. Just look at this match. Blown spots, fans couldn't get involved. What a disaster. The fans always get involved in Hardy matches. The crowd was behind both men in that one.
-
Damn... That was a hot match right there.
