In relation to Disco, is it just me or does Hornswaggle get better reactions from the crowd than Disco? -

I was certain Vader was going to be an unstoppable killing machine in the WWE. -

Do you honestly think they'd let Kong be dominant? When they had Bertha Faye/Rhonda Singh, they wouldn't let her use the power moves that made her a big star in Japan. Beth Phoenix is pretty much the biggest woman, size-wise, you're going to see in the WWE at this point. -

Yeah, the roundtable is always under the legends category. -

The Roundtable is pretty good, although doing a show about wrestling territories and not having Jerry Lawler on the panel is kind of ridiculous. As much as I like Taz, he brings very little to discussions like these. Patterson does the most talking, though, and Hayes has a pretty funny story about the night Tommy Rich beat Harley Race for the NWA Title. -

Maybe it's Sid. -
I always liked the rant Flair, Bobby, and Perfect had after Savage won at Wrestlemania VIII. They argue about him pulling the tights like he just killed 10 children, yet they were cheating the whole match.

The NWA show also features the match that made Dusty Rhodes come up with some for Ray Traylor. As Jim Cornette tells it, he takes a slingshot suplex from Tully Blanchard, and Dusty was like "If he can get up for Tully, I can probably do something with him." He's then taken off television for a couple of months and later appears as Big Bubba Rogers. -

Not much, but the Dick Murdoch/Afa match is fun due to Murdoch's selling. -

Nail on the head has been hit. You are correct in saying Wargames was one of the best and most popular gimmicks Rhodes/WCW ever developed, which is why it will get buried like this. Wargames would be a great addition to a PPV now, but that isn't going to happen... especially when the Elimination Chamber is rapidly becoming the a staple gimmick match like Hell in the Cell, the Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank. -

I remember thinking ECW on TNN was going to be great for Heyman and company. -

Same here. It did seem kind of forced, and to his defense, his accent probably had something to do with it. -

I was trying to remember who Jack Reynolds was. Thankfully, he wasn't around the WWF long. Tony Garea did some annoucing out the Black Saturday show and it was awful. I agree... Garea was down right God-awful. -

During the height of the angle, I thought The Great Muta was going to be The Black Scorpion based on the 1989 feud with Sting. Paul E even mentions him as someone he thought would be The Black Scoprion on the Starrcade '90 broadcast. -

As a kid, I was 100% positive that Sid was going to win the 1992 Royal Rumble, and I was livid at Hogan for what he did at the end of the match. -

I got a big kick out of the "Cruising for Chicks" van the Freebirds did their interview in on the latest edition of World Class. -
Yeah, the Chicago one had Jack Brickhouse doing a little segment each episode.

You're right... that is Bill Dundee with Regal. -
It's Bill Watts' ex-wife who owns the library, and you're right... her asking price has to be through the roof otherwise the WWE would have bought it a long time ago considering how many stars passed through that territory and how influential it was.

I would like to see a SMW series started. -
I was about to say... if Jake hadn't died yet, why do you think 2008 is going to be any different.
-
Nah, they would've crossed that bridge with the Warrior dvd already. They can easily start with the WCW/UWF merger. Forgot about that... very good point.

Anyone else curious about the fact that if they do the Sting DVD, how are they going to cover his start in the business? Does anyone think they might be cutting a deal with Bill Watts' ex-wife for access to the Mid-South library in the near future?
