First... the trailer for Gobstopper: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/06b666ae7...stopper-trailer Second... A spoof-trailer on Funny or Die is INFINITELY better than the trailers from the bulk of all recent horror movies. Christopher Lloyd's delivery of the "We are the music-makers" line is something of pure brilliance... and imagination. I would pay good money just to see an extended version of this... even if it's 20-30 minutes.

It might (Even I'll admit it's the biggest match on the show), but a World Title match should always close Wrestlemania. Why does it even matter at this point. Neither title means anything at this point, plus the main event at Mania has been above the title matches before (VIII and XI). HBK/Taker should absolutely close. Wrestlemania 24 ended with Taker doing his pose in the ring; I don't think 25 will too. Good call considering his demonic pyro enducing pose caused the crowd to ignite. Maybe Wrestlemania 25 will end with HBK doing his pose in the ring ??? Shawn won't be the one to end the streak.

Anyone else notice Show looking at the big screen to know when to get out of the way... that was kind of a nice touch that went unmentioned.

I guess I'm a traditionalist in that approach in that the World Title should have meaning by closing out the biggest show of the year. I'll give you VIII only because of the Warrior's run-in (Because Savage winning from Flair would have made for a good close as well), but XI was a celebrity match. Heck, they didn't even close last year with Mayweather/Big Show and that had tons of hype on it compared to Taker/Edge.

Ehhh... if Christian wins, I see him getting drafted to Smackdown where Edge will be champion to do a program there. I doubt they do the cash-in at Wrestlemania, especially since it's looking as if HHH vs. Orton will be the main event.

It the extra-mile touches like this that makes me love this show.

Has Finlay turned heel, or is he just on the heel team by default?

In their eyes, to get more star power on Raw on a consistent basis. That didn't happen last year, SD! clearly got the star power in the draft. That's because of the MyNetwork deal. Based on what I read in the Observer, it sounds like RAW is getting restocked Which is why I see Edge walking out of Wrestlemania the champ, staying on Smackdown, and Triple H beating Orton... and getting drafted to Raw.

And The Giant as Andre's son... along with the shirt and crucifix nonsense.

Turning Orton face would be horrible. I hate it, but with Steph as a general manager she can't be 'with' a face wrestler. Authority figures always play heelish roles, so it seems fairly obvious Orton is going to beat HHH by siding with Steph (thus giving HHH another reign when he GETS HIS REVENGE ON HIS WIFE!!!!!!!) and making the storyling all about HHH vs. A McMahon instead of HHH vs. Randy Orton. I don't know who is going to win the Triple Threat (probably Cena) but it's a fair bet if this goes on in the middle of Wrestlemania that Steph is going heel with Orton and Cena wins to close the show. If the Triple Threat goes first, then HHH is finally getting a Mania win (since he's gone like 3-5 in this decade and hasn't had a win since WM 19) I don't see the triple threat going on last... and as a result... I see Edge winning there and HHH winning against Orton.

I think the People's Elbow is a good example. The Rock was able to make one of the simplest moves be one of the most anticipated spots in the match.

What ended the Late 90's Pro Wrestling Boom?
Diamonddust replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in General Wrestling
Lack of competition was critical. Sure, there were a lot of other factors... but when McMahon put his rivals out of business... his "motivation" to survive wasn't as strong as it was during '97 and '98. -
Didn't Jason Segel do a dead-on Andre impression in Knocked Up? He was doing Arnold in Knocked Up.
-
Didn't see it posted anywhere, but it looks as if the Cena/Rock issues that came up last year have resurfaced: http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/1499.html I wonder if Cena realizes that if him and the Rock were in the ring together for anything... Cena would be booed out of the building.

For those going to see "I Love You Man", be on the look-out for a dead-on Andre the Giant impression by Jason Segal.

WrestleMania Roundtable Part Four:2000 to 2004

My favorite part of the Gimmick Battle Royale (Outside of seeing Heenan and Okerlund come back for the commentary) will always be seeing Michael Hayes come out in Freebird mode in front of a Texas crowd one more time. -

Hasn't Rey vs. JBL been made official? -
It seems the Von Erich video will be shown on Smackdown this week, and I've seen reports stating Howard Finkel will finally be going into the Hall of Fame as well... here's hoping it's not another joke on poor Howard.

Part of me still thinks they made the pitch to Austin, and he turned down the match... even with it being overbooked and highly protective. -
WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion

Agreed... especially since they were getting closer and closer to the point where the WWE started actually winning the Monday Night Wars. I was looking forward to seeing things like the Tyson/Austin Raw, which would have been coming up sooner rather than later.
