    The Old School questions thread

Job boy for Undertaker. Beyond that, probably kept reasonably strong in the high end of the midcard and put into the main event scene when needed. Then you have the question of what would Austin have done at Wrestlemania XIII? Referee for Shawn/Bret? In hindsight, Shawn acting the way he did was the best thing to have happened for McMahon. It allowed him to pull off the double switch and launch Austin's mega-push.

If I remember correctly, as we got closer to Montreal... Bret said he would have dropped the belt to Shawn... just not in Canada. Still, I remember others saying that was a bogus excuse because of how many American born champions have had to drop the belt in their "home" country.

I wish Taker would bring back the bodybag part of his gimmick.

Good question. No one really knows what's happened to Snitsky.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

They can do that leave one pod empty and everybody wondering who he is going to be and when that wrestler is suppose to come out have Jericho's music come on You could do that. Or you could do something which doesn't ruin what little point there is to an Elimination Chamber (i.e. everyone starts in there, you remain in there until you are eliminated). Could always just tint the "glass" of the pod that the mystery man is standing in... And how would you hide his identity before he gets to the ring? You could have him come to the ring in a spaceship and then wear two masks so when a wrestler pulls off the first mask... bam... there's another! Wait a minute... Has that been done before?

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

As much as a three way Last Man Standing sounds cool, given how confusing it could get, (getting around how triple threats often feature a guy who is knocked out while the other two fight) standard triple threat rules will likely apply. True... very true.

I doubt that a flying cross body off the ring apron would have gotten an equal reaction than the running SSP. Doubt it HIGHLY. It's all a matter of how you deliver the move and get the crowd to by into the execution. Look back at The Rock... you know what made him great? - The fact he could make a simple elbow drop the most anticipated move in the match.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

As much as I'd like to see it happen, they will not put the World Title on Jericho the same night he returns. Even HHH didn't get that type of treatment. Probably scenario: They put Orton in with Umaga and HHH... keep it a Last Man Standing Match... Orton wins at Umaga's expense and sets up a program with HHH so he can win the belt at Survivor Series, a bigger PPV in the scope of things.

90 is very historic due to the debut of The Undertaker. It also features the one and only time, if I remember correctly, where the survivors in each match met in an elimination main event. It was Warrior, Hogan, and Tito vs. a whole lot of heels.

I don't believe that for a second. Yeah... Chris Masters hasn't become just "Masters".

    Cyber-Sunday Main Events

Probably some warehouse space that they have where they probably store/construct stages and such for PPV's etc. Quite possibly the same warehouse they used for Tough Enough. In one of Jim Cornette's shoot interviews, he alluded to the fact that before OVW - the WWE was training out of a warehouse at the same time construction and other things were happening.

    My WWE Theme Collection

Anyone know where a copy of The Great Muta's 1989 NWA theme exists? I have his other themes from throughout his career, but the one he used during that run tops them all.

Isn't that match one of the conditions required to bring about the end of the world?

    Favorite match finishes

The ending to Hogan/Andre at Wrestlemania III will always be one of my favorites.

Agreed. I would probably still mark out for that match if I saw it again.

    Favorite match finishes

Flair winning the Royal Rumble by taking advantage of the spat between Hogan and Sid has always been a favorite finish of mine. The Midnight Express beating the Dynamic Dudes after Cornette showed his true colors was another great finish.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

Man, I'd kill to see old Jack Nicholson and old Ric Flair to have some kind of verbal standoff about who's banged more chicks. The after-party would be legendary.

    The Shoot Interview Thread

If you could get the 2nd Jim Cornette shoot - the one where it's mostly about OVW and its operations - I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a bunch! I drive a lot for my job, and these are going to keep me entertained quite a bit... especially the Jim Cornette one.

    WWE 24/7 October Discussion

Just saw this on Jim Ross' latest blog: "This Thursday I am leaving for the WWE TV studios in Connecticut via New York City to tape a few WWE 24/7 broadcasts, featuring the “Legends Roundtable.” I always enjoy being a part of this particular production. From what I can tell, our fans enjoy the Roundtable discussions too."

    The Old School questions thread

Sid vs. Taker, I believe, was always planned, just not for the belt, and the Austin-Bret feud had been running for months. I've always been curious as to what the original plans were for Austin if they'd gone ahead with Bret vs. Shawn at WMXIII. Possibly the special guest referee spot that Shamrock ended up getting.

Doesn't look like it. I do hope they tape some more in the near future. It was easily the best thing the WWE has produced in a LONG time. I'd like to see some different people on the panel, though. You could get Steamboat, Windham, or any one of the "producers" they have working for them right now in place of Bischoff, who is not under contract anymore. Hell, I'd love to see Dusty back on it only because you know he's good for some great storytelling. Now that I think about it... I wish Jim Cornette was still with the company because he would be incredible on a show like this. I'd love to see them tackle topics like they did with the Monday Night Wars. They could talk about the Montreal Screwjob (They alluded to it in the MNW episode), territory days (You know Lawler and Ross have a wealth of stories from their experiences), among other things. Still, I'd even like it if they did another series on individual stars. The Iron Sheik/Andre the Giant episode was my favorite roundtable besides the MNW episode.

    WWE 24/7 October Discussion

I'm serious... Nitro is the absolute pits at this point. If I remember correctly, here are the main events for the PPV's coming up: April, Spring Stampede: DDP vs. Savage May, Slamboree: Hall, Nash, Syxx vs. Kevin Greene, Roddy Piper, and Ric Flair (His return match) - also featured Reggie White vs. Steve McMichael June: Great American Bash: DDP vs. Savage, again July: Giant and Luger vs. Hogan and Dennis Rodman August: Hogwild: Lex Luger defends the World Title he won 6 days earlier against Hogan September: Fall Brawl: Wargames with Nash, Bagwell, Syxx, and I think Konnan vs. The Horsemen (Hennig's heel turn) October: Halloween Havoc: Piper vs. Hogan in a cage November: World War 3: Battle Royale December: Starrcade: Sting vs. Hogan The WWE countered with: April - Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart, rematch May - Steve Austin vs. Undertaker June - King of the Ring Finals, plus if I remember correctly - Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels July - 10 Man Tag Match featuring The Hart Foundation vs. Austin, L.O.D., Goldust, and Shamrock August - Bret Hart vs. Undertaker September - Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker October - Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker - Hell in the Cell 1 November - Do I need to remind you on this one? December - Shawn Michaels vs. Ken Shamrock So, as I was saying, the Nitros coming up are downright horrible. WCW was definitely in "coasting" mode as they knew Vince couldn't throw anything at them that was going to give them a serious challenge at this point.

Looking forward to the stuff on the Samoans and what looks to be a J-Tex match with the shorty featuring Buzz Sawyer and The Great Muta! The Raws on the MNW should be great with the post Wrestlemania stuff leading into the formation of The Hart Foundation while Nitro enters a COMPLETE dead period as Hogan basically disappears and the company went months without a World Title match on PPV. The NWA show skipping ahead tells me they are itching to get to the formation of the Horsemen at the beginning of 1986.
