If ever you could make a case for one man singlehandedly killing a franchise for years, Tremblay would be the guy. I think Isiah Thomas is making a run for that title with the Knicks...

I'm pretty sure that Christina Aguilera considers that to be foreplay. I agree, the new millenium has not been kind to music in general. Good stuff here and there, but nothing has really emerged that transcends flavour-of-the-week status.

"Worst ever" firsthand moment was Jays-A's, ALCS Game 1, when the woman next to me had a seizure. Plus, the Jays lost (mind you this was Stewart and Eckersley at their peak). Current "worst" moment - every single fucking time the ABC/TNT announce team fellates Vince Carter. Also - every time the Leafs lose to Philly in the playoffs. It's the same feeling Chris gets with Sens-Leafs.

I think that he always says that, actually.
-
Probably. But if the writing staff remains creative, it shouldn't be a huge issue.

Best thing that could've happened to them, really. They'll be refreshed, PLUS they'll be able to hit up rich people for money.

Actually, you've been discussing why the winner won't be "America's Idol", a similar argument to "it's not really reality" or "it's no longer sponsored by soap nor is it an opera". BTW, how does a show that's consistently a top 5 ratings draw need Whedon's help, when his shows can't even crack the top 40? Anyways, back to the show analysis. Constantine - I guess he's more an emo guy? Like I said, Nickelback was not the right choice for him. Carrie - Asians and country music don't really mix, so I'll give this a pass Vonzell - The more I think about it, it was more a poor arrangement than poor song choice. Christina Aguilera does that thing where she powers through a song like this, and if you don't try that it sounds kinda weak. Which the first half of the performance seemed. Bo - Having fun counts for a lot. It was more about performance, sure, but unlike Constantine Bo let it all hang out, and it showed. Sergei - Good performance. He made it seem like it wasn't a Celine Dion song, and that's very much a good thing. Mr. Emotion - Same shit, different week. Although I now why he doesn't smile - it's fucking creepy, like a guy you'd expect would show op on Law & Order: SVU.

I actually think it's a combination of burnout and the lack of an analyst who can break down moves. Lawler is good at getting a story across (as long as it doesn't involve chicks), but he don't know moves. For Raw, a third guy (call Snow back up?) might actually be a good idea.

2 hours was just too much time to make up. I'm sure they only lost an hour. I was pretty much thinking that once Rob tried to play with Gretchen's mind, it was gonna come back to haunt him. It's that karma thing - same thing that happened to Frick and Frack time and time again.

Still not THE American Idol. You're really stubborn about this, even when I've agree with you. "Idol" is a title, an award for winning a pop singing competition. Noone is making them Elvis or James Dean. So, if you don't like a show, why post in a thread dedicated to it?

OK, 4 teams, 3 legs left... this has got to be a robbery leg, right?
-
well, yeah. I figured that was obvious.
-
OK, Scotty Too Hotty did the pointing, removing the mic from the stand, the waddle across the stage, and the boy band arm sweep - all with an expressionless face. Did I miss anything?
-
OK, I'm thinking about what you're saying, and it does make sense - the winner is not an Idol to everyone in America. But I think it's more like a title, kind of like Miss America. You've won Idol, and you're the American version of it for this year.

...and a poor choice for Constantine I think. It wasn't bad, just kinda bland.
-
Oh man, I think "Baby V" chose the wrong song... or at least the wrong way to tackle it. I thought she was too subdued to start off, but that's just me.
-
btw, if you're keeping track, Paula does seem more subdued...
-
Well the Pop Idol winners have done pretty well over in the British Isles, so in a sense they are looked up at. Over here, well, it's more a format than anything, I suppose.
-
You mean you don't do that now? I always use that line. Great way to get people to stop asking you questions, actually.
-
Cingular, Verizon, Sprint... same shit, different carrier.
-
Yes, and as a result, Paul got shot and is paralyzed. Might be a lesson to be learned there...
-
Um... damn. Then again, CTU agents should probably all have gun training, right?
-
Chloe? Out in the field? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Logan reminds me of an odd merging of Nixon and Mr. Bean for some reason. Plus Snitsky for the "It's not my fault" comment...
-
well duh, I was just saying that he liked their version, not that he thought it was the greatest. Yeah, I know. Didn't quite come out that way though. Sorry.
