Isn't Couture older than Shamrock?
-
Frankly, I'm shocked that Val wasn't released the minute Edge divorced his sister. Then again, Sean Morley is a fairly vocal right-wing conservative, so I'm sure Vince loves him.

It's because Jeff was the spot machine. But all those early interviews were saying how Matt was a "student of the game", and always trying to improve himself in the ring, so in hindsight, it shouldn't be much of a surprise that Matt turned out to be the better wrestler. Well, Vince does hate not having control of everything. Heaven forbid that a wrestler have a personal website...

UFC: Ultimate Knockouts 3 on at 9pm EST

Casey Kasem's daughter? I remember her from Beg, Borrow and Deal 2. She's not bad, but she kinda comes off as a second rate Kari Wuhrer. Think about that. -
The Ultimate Fighter Finale Results

Two words: "Flawless victory". -
Trump should've fired Angie without having her admit that she choked. He railroaded her into saying it so that he'd have the one definitive reason as to why he fired her. If he doesn't do that, then you're left with "everyone sucked, but she sucked the most" which I suppose doesn't wash when that normally spells the end for the PM - and it seems like he wanted to give Alex another chance. So, I don't disagree with Angie getting fired, I just didn't like the way it was done.

I just saw the Bonnar-Griffin fight, and fuck was that awesome. Technical? No. Pretty much what Bonnar said it would be? Yes. Entertaining? Oh hell yes. On the point scoring, I'm having a tough time figuring which round Stephan won. Forrest clearly won round 1, but I figured Stephan won round 3 since he was landing more blows and Forrest had more takedowns in 2. Whichever it was, I think they chose the correct winner, by the correct margin. Haven't seen Diego-Kenny yet, but I saw the Shamrock-Franklin match, and it just wasn't that good. Franklin was great going in for the kill when Shamrock slipped though. If anything, this match established that Shamrock should probably avoid the high kicks. All in all, a good ending to Ultimate Fighter.

I don't have to imagine:

Yea but hes not as bad as John Stevens though. I agree, but I was looking for an anaolgy from last season, and John fits the bill. I'd hire John to sing the standards though. And I figure that since he's 17, he has time to learn how to sing something else...

Sure it's a check card that has the same amount on it that Stacy and Clinton give to people, but imagine that it was a corporate credit card, and that Chris hadn't noticed that he'd lost it. That'd be some bad shit right there, although I'd guess that most of it could be recovered. Still, the big deal to me about losing the card was that it took Chris out of action for most of the following day, not that some guy would go on a shopping spree. Losing one third of your manpower can't be all that good.

Hulk Hogan wants Roy Jones Jr to stop cockfighting

That would be the most bizarre pro-wrestling related story on any other week, but, well, Warrior opened his mouth. -
OK, finally saw Sanchez-Koschek, and I'd have scored it 30-27 Diego. Koschek got some good takedowns in, but like the Leben match, he really didn't know where to go from there. And this time, the lay and pray approach didn't work because Diego is good from the bottom. It essentially comes down to Diego continually working for a tapout, and Josh escaping. I could actually see giving Josh a round since he did manage to escape almost every submission attempt (end of Round 1 being a notable exception) but the problem was that he had no offence one they were on the ground. No idea where the 30-27 Koschek came from though. Maybe the guy doesn't understand MMA.

"Episode IV" only came into play after Star Wars became a huge hit.

Trump at some point makes up his mind and then sticks to it no matter what the others say, which is bloody annoying at times. Especially when he does shit like forcing Angie to admit that she choked, because he needs some sort of reason to fire her.

Better than 5 hours of Star Trek, movie of the week, 2 hours of Hip-Hop car shows. Point, but it's now 5 hours of CSI instead of TNG.
-
That's some serious MMA overkill...

OK, Udon is now down to one member - Steph. 8 immunity challenges, 8 wins for Koror. Un-fucking-believable.

I still need to watch that show. But I watch too much TV as it is...

He's this year's John Stevens...

24 > Firefly. You know it, Rudo.

I think it's too early to say. Show-wise, not decade-wise. If season 2 still reeks of awesomeness, then I'll probably agree with you.

Off the top of my head, Cool Runnings and Angels in the Outfield also followed that formula, although surprisingly they didn't win the gold in Cool Runnings. Even Remember The Titans followed the formula minus the "bad team" first act.
-
Most Disney sports movies suck when you realize that they follow the exact same formula.

Good thing we're all about as cynical as you here, CBright. Still, I should head over to TFn to see what kind of death threats you get...

Outcast syndrome. Nikko was living on borrowed time, no matter how well he performs. Savol really needs to go. He hasn't sang well once since the finals started.
