Countdown to Infinite Crisis, six page preview

Maybe. Possibly. But DC has seemed to have planned their "event" miniseries with this in mind, so who knows? -
Thomas Haden Church cast as villain for Spider-Man
starvenger replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Well, they've linked the two before in the cartoon, but there's just no way they could do what I think they want to do in a two hour movie. They'd have to do a Kill Bill and split it into two parts... -
If Luke knew who Anikan really was
starvenger replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Television & Film
Interesting. I think guessing his age depends on how old you think he is in the prequels and what the gap is between them and the original trilogy. Ballpark, I'd more or less agree with you and say he's right at the century mark. -
Looks like Moriarty was right. It's now official Anyone think that Sienna Miller would make a good White Queen?

Agreed. I think it's something that Lucas did conciously. Palpatine is the facade, the mask hiding Darth Sidious. Hence he's young(ish), energetic and basically the standup guy people want to see. The Emperor looks old and ragged, Lucas' visual rendition of the phrase "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". -
Well, the numbers were incorrect for Mikel-ugh, Anwar and Juggsica (showing numbers for Carrie, Shawn DesmanScott and Bo, respectively) so make what you will out of that.

I think it stems back to last week, where Simon noted that Carrie, Bo and (I think) Vonzell were the only finalists who knew what song styles suited them. Singing Heart is playing to Carrie's strengths while obstensibly putting her out of her element, and I think Simon likes that.

Same here. He's back to being BoloDouche...

To be fair though, the first five minutes is always a breakdown of the previous fight. And I'd be pissed too if I lost due to medical stoppage.
-
No shit! Holy crap! That was crazy. Why is next week two hours? It's either an uber-leg like the Germany one last time, or a non-elim and elimination leg.

OK, the Fagz for me are now Team FOAD...
-
Patrick could use one, yeah.

Instant Karma is gonna get Lynn and Alex, every fucking time...

To quote Rudo, "Juuuuuggs!!"

Aaaaaarrgh my ears!! Mikelah was brutal. And her song sucked too...
-
Holy shit, Nadia is channeling Storm with that hairstyle...
-
Speaking of sucking ass, Constantine is singing I Think I love You...
-
I agree - I'm saying the Susan and Patrick
-
I don't think Against All Odds has ever been sang well on Idol, and Ralphie May here continued the trend... Great stuff from Bo. He showed that you can put emotion into a song without relying on trills and glory notes...

I don't understand the judges' love for Sergei. He's just not that great. I mean, he's no Pen Guy, but still, not that great. Carrie did good singing Heart, but that's not exactly as huge a stretch from country that she makes it out to be, y'know?

Leben's gone, but Bobby Southworth's back. Maybe. They don't know, because it's all dependent on whether KaneForrest's cut heals or not...

Do you mean in the sense that she is the girl next door type, but not the knockout that the comics depict MJ as? -

Agreed. Johns seems to have struck a nice balance between the BoP Beetle and the Superbuddies Beetle... -

Chud.com had an interesting thought in that they could do a Sinister Six story, which would be pretty cool. -

Dunst is a terrible MJ. I don't buy her as a model, an actress, or someone Peter would lust after for whatever reason. I certainly wouldn't lust after her for any reason. She looked good in Bring It On. Pretty much what they'd have to do. Although in the comic-book world I think Oscorp creating an uber-powerful living symbiote seems to make less sense compared to an alien costume acquired in another dimension. Uber-powerful sentient robots, that's another story. Movie-wise, keeping Oscorp in the middle of things would make more sense than the comic version, or even the cartoon version.
