Ah, good times, back when Toronto cared about baseball. That was a great time, especially partying on Yonge Street afterwards.

It's coincidence.

That's the Flash's MO...

Hey, Joe Flaherty got some work!!

Um, didn't Sega start this by lowering prices? Lowering prices and buying exclusive rights of whatever sport is like not very comparable. When you look at them individually, no. But consider - Sega does the price lowering. It eats into EA's profits, and possibly pisses off the NFL. If you're EA, you don't just stand there and twiddle your thumbs. But in this case, you have a partner in the NFL who is willing to go the extra mile with you, and boom, Sega's shut out of the NFL license (although not the NFLPA?). Personally I'd have thought the song and dance would've gone on a couple more years. You know, EA does something to get their sales back, Sega does something else, etc. But as Kahran noted, the NFL was willing to make this happen, so things accelerated just a wee bit.

No, UN-BEE-LEEEEEVABLE...

He should blaze one up and go to the boardroom stoned. It won't help him, but at least it'd be funny.

aaaaand that's the problem with Burger King. Because of their broiling process, there's no way they can make burgers as fast as, say McDonald's or Wendy's. The Angus burger is some good shit though...

Man, that's a car crash of a promo item...

You're right about the chick. Gives new meaning to sweater puppies. Of course, it could be a padded bra, but let's not think about that...

Got that right. But here's to hoping that he isn't the second or third guy fired...

One team called themselves Magna? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen...

Lucasfilm trying to milk as much money out of the Star Wars license as possible? I'm SHOCKED...

Unintentionally hilarious, considering that for MLB, EA has a far better game. Um, didn't Sega start this by lowering prices? Anyways, for hoops EA is probably good as long as they can keep Street, but from a business perspective ESPN is already in bed with the NBA, so EA has a leg up there. As for the NHL, they need as much revenue as they can get, and that's probably by not going exclusive.

You're right, he's not an idiot. He's an immoral douchebag.

Strong words considering the worst of the Spice Girls is still a celebrity there...

Good point. It wouldn't hurt to give District X, Madrox (and presumably an X-Factor followup) and Nightcrawler some more love...

And if makes you feel that much better, most of his success was over in the UK, with Westlife and 5ive...

According to his American Idol bio...

btw, RealityNewsOnline has pointed out that Kristen/Kirsten/whatever is the same bitchy Kristen/Kirsten/whatever who kept not going away in "Murder in Small Town X". Odd, that.

Now that you mention it, the NHL has really sucked so far this year...

I have to agree with you - it's been slow going rebuilding the downtown in Houston, possibly because of the seeming randomness of their rebuilding projects. They've done some nice stuff on the north end, and they've got some nice areas on Main, but the south end still has jack shit. Not to mention the vast amounts of jack shit around the Toyota Center. Anyways, back to the Marlins. That idiot Loria still owns them, right?

It's in it's fourth season, so I don't really think you can call it a fad anymore. Desparate Housewives and (I really hate to say it) Lost have a more legit claim to being a "fad" than American Idol at this point, since they haven't even finished their first.

Better than: X: "Jen, what exactly did you do this task?" JenBot: "I'm pretty"

You haven't heard that song butchered until you've heard the Grammatica brothers "sing" it during last year's MNF music competition...
