Probably not, but they wouldn't call themselves the "Los Angeles Clippers of Anaheim" either. If they tried, Stern would find the marketing genius who came up with that and have him shot. So basically, if they used the city's proper name, they'd be (in English) "Our Lady of the Angels Angels of Anaheim"? It gets even better...

Does that mean boxing isn't a sport? I don't know what's a sport and what's just an athletic competition anymore. Either way, there's no way I could do what those figure skaters do. If the game were not a Bowl game, I'm sure that figure skating would be on ABC and football would be on ESPN...

In kinda-sorta related news, Fox decided to put American Idol on "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?"-like overkill mode and it's airing M-W at 8pm. The good news, of course, is that 24 has a strong lead-in. The bad news is that if a backlash hits Idol 24, House and whatever is on Wednesdays may get caught in it's wake.

Two words about the Bull & Finch - tourist trap. It's quite overpriced, so my recommendation is to take some pictures outside the Boston Common location, and some inside the Faneuil Hall one (have a beer if you like). I'd also avoid the Union Oyster House as it's another tourist trap - go to the No Name seafood restaurant instead.

I'm not a big fan of that, actually. I like him as a smug heel...

There was a period after Coach died that I thought they were having trouble finding their footing, and I didn't care for the shows after Sam and Rebecca hooked up. Those periods aside, one of the best sitcoms in recent memory. I loved to hate Diane...

Fantastic 4 Film Changed due to Incredibles...

I'll do it for you: You're talking about Mole Man, who I've generally thought of as more of a tragic figure than villain anyways. -
Finally watched SWAT. Incredibly cliche, paint-by-numbers plot, but things getting blowed up real good is always fun to watch. Not enough to rate this movie as good, but still fun to watch. 4/10

I think the deal is that not many people care about the Warriors...

I guess by now you know you're not the only one I think Galaga is the money game for most people. Mappy sucked in the arcade, and (shockingly) it still sucks now. I've noticed that. I think I found the best method was to add slight downward pressure to the joystick.

Both movies grossed over 100 million, I dont think they can be considered failures. Critical failures, I guess? -
Well, that's good news for Ravens fans. Maybe now they can work a decent offence that features more than Jamal Lewis and Todd Heap...

Slippery slope? The suit itself is bullshit, IMO. That's all I have to say. Of course the suit is BS. The only reason most people know Tony Twist is because he's a guy who's willing to drop his gloves on the ice. Personally, I'd have thought that all McFarlane would've needed would be Don Cherry as a witness and a pile of his Rock 'Em Sock 'Em videos to show what Twist could gain "endorsements" for...

Well, at least those teams are named correctly for their city/state. Unlike, say, the NFL's Giants, Jets and Indigenous Persons. Or the NBA's world champion Auburn Hills Pistons. Patriots get a pass because they are in the area known as "New England", even if that area happens to cover a few states (in 2006, expect Rogers Communications to rename the Blue Jays the Canada Jays, with 500 new uniform types and zero star players).

I thought it was fine up until nepotism beneficiary Charlie O'Connell showed up. Sure, Rhys-Davies was "dismissed" for cheap reason (Keri Wuhrer's boobs are nicer than his), but the stories were still good. Anyways, TV Shows that I've got: Robotech (I've got the fhe tape collection as well) Dark Angel Keen Eddie Playmakers Star Trek: TNG Star Trek: DS9 Transformers Transformers: Beast Wars Gundam Wing The Joe Schmo Show Challenge of the SuperFriends Batman: TAS Spider-Man (MTV series) Friends Clerks: TAS Mr. Bean On my wish list: The 4400 Law and Order: Special Victims Unit Looney Tunes: The Golden Collection Degrassi Junior High/Degrassi High Star Wars: The Clone Wars On tape: M.A.S.K. Grandizer Starvengers Transformers: Headmasters Transformers: Victory The insanely bad live JLA pilot

I think the movie WILL be a letdown to most people because there is probably as much hype/anticipation for this as Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones combined. Myself, I'm lowering expectaations and going in simply looking for a good movie.

Or the Auburn Hills Pistons and Seacaucus Giants/Jets? And I'm still waiting to see the Bucs play a football game in the water...

Is Mike Martz a crappy coach that you hate?
starvenger replied to The Czech Republic's topic in Sports
I voted blank, because he's more at an "inconsistent" level than crappy. And it's frustrating both as a football fan and a guy that partakes in the occasional sports wager... -
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Congratulations, Mr. Moreno, you have managed to come up with a name that sounds dumber than "Mighty Ducks of Anaheim"...

Gah!! Lost on the tiebreaker...

I'm shocked that it took 38 posts to mention the Stones as a group in this thread... I think that should read "Howard Stern looks like Geddy Lee, poor bastard"...

Fantastic 4 Film Changed due to Incredibles...
starvenger replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in Television & Film
I think that the inevitable comparison to "The Incredibles" by the non-comic geek reviewers will land FF squarely in the middle (how's that for a copout?) of the eight movies that CBright7831 mentioned. -
Me neither, Spiff. Me neither. Ditto. Between this and H2G2 my fiancee will probably be ready to kill me...

I'm sure that Brad Bird would be the first guy to say that Elastigirl is an homage of sorts to Mr. Fantastic, but still, who knows what the kids are thinking these days? -
