    Desperate Housewives

Can't blame you, although I was more into Laura Leighton. But I always loved how she was so evil on Melrose Place.

    The Greatest Canadian

Were they votes or nominations? CBC's website makes it about as clear as mud.

    10/22 Impact Spoilers

They've had this team in the past as the "Megapowers" of TNA, with the 3 main faces teaming up together. Of course, I'd say that having Truth as the third stringer in 6-man tags all the time is probably not helping him get over as a singles wrestler, but that's just me. Terri fricking Gold had longer matches than Jarrett. She may have had better workrate as well. Well at least this match looks good. At this point Gamble's pay per minute looks about as high as Jerome Bettis' TDs per yard...

    Jerry Rice Traded

Aren't they high on Ronald Curry? That just sounds wrong for some reason. I hope he does the Roger Craig thing where he signs with the Niners and immediately retires.

    Desperate Housewives

Never around on Sundays to watch it, unfortunately, but I caught a Saturday repeat once. Having Marcia Cross play a "perfect" wife is great, especially if you remember her from Melrose Place...

    The Greatest Canadian

I'll be honest with you. Aside from Cherry (who doesn't deserve to be in the top ten at all) and Suzuki (who is underrated, but probably shouldn't be there either), I think that any of the other eight could make a claim as "the greatest". They're dual citizens. Carrey just got his, as did Pamela Anderson. It's funny because it's true. Kids won't know who Fleming is. I probably wouldn't either, except I spent half my university life in the Sanford Fleming Building at U of T, so I made a point of at least knowing what he did. Sad, eh?

The "what did you vote for" thread...

HHH vs... Edge, meaning La Rez vs Benoit/Michaels Jericho vs... Chucky, because it's about as absurd a match as I could think of. Divas in... French Maid outfits. Haven't had a wrestling segment with a French maid in it since Flair's valet Fifi Carmella vs Christy in... Evening Gowns, because that's the only way it will be somewhat watchable. Baby Killer vs Kane using... the inanimate carbon rod. Bischoff vs Eugene stips... hair vs hair. I want to see Eugene BALD, and then snap or something Flair vs Orton... Steel Cage. We needs the blood...

    The Greatest Canadian

Well, if Louis Riel can make the list (seeing as at the time he was seen as a traitor and hung), why not non-Canadian Canadians like Sir John A and Bell?

    The Greatest Canadian

In case anyone cares, here's the list of advocates: Frederick Banting - Mary Walsh, "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" Alexander Graham Bell - Evan Solomon, Co-host of CBC News Don Cherry - Bret "Hitman" Hart. Never heard of him Tommy Douglas - George Stroumboulopoulos, the only good thing on Much besides Amanda Walsh (because, well, she's cute) Terry Fox - Sook-Yin Lee, former Much VJ Wayne Gretzky - Deborah Grey, former MP Sir John A. Macdonald - Charlotte Gray, author Lester B. Pearson - Paul Gross, an actor so Canadian he made a curling movie David Suzuki - Melissa Auf der Maur, Hole and Smashing Pumpkins Pierre Elliott Trudeau - Rex Murphy, "The National" Wouldn't it have been more fun to have Margot Kidder be the advocate for Trudeau?

Lavigne and Dion, but no Lionel "Big Train" Conacher or Joni Mitchell? How about Margaret "cure for insomnia" Atwood? And as much as I love his comedy, Rick Mercer? As for the top 10, 9 out of the 10 Canadians named belong there. The other is a loudmouthed xenophobe. Seriously, Don Cherry?

TSN Clearned To Begin Airing TNA..

Impact will make it to the Canadian airwaves, just not on Monday. Remember, TSN used to carry Nitro on Tuesdays and Raw on Mondays. However, with the NHL lockout still going on, the 'E' has more leverage than they normally would.

kkk pick 'em contest Week 6

Eked out a win (I think). Thank goodness for 10.5 point underdogs, and shame on me for thinking that Miami might actually win one...

Reality News Online has an interview with Jay, which describes the format of LCS3. Well, lovely. Bonnie's out, but the unfunny screaming girl is in. At least Bonnie was good to look at...

    Apprentice 2

They've always done that, they do it on Survivor too, and it was never more atrocious and obvious than it was lastnight. It's like his tone suddently changes 3 times in the same sentence. Oh yeah, it's Ronco infomercial-level bad. Bad enough that I think it's done intentionally. Of course, Raj could've brought stuff over previous to that. But as we saw last week, he's not afraid to hit on the ladies. Raj tends to extrapolate more than exaggerate (He probably loves the sound of his own voice) so I'm more inclined to think it's a woman. Probably Lil Stacy - remember, she was "afraid for her life" because Stacie J was all "let's shake the magic 8 ball".

    Apprentice 2

Basically, you're saying you wouldn't give him control, but you'd give him the job, which gives him the control. You see the potential, and he'd be perfect for the future, but you're hiring him for the here and now. It's contradictory, and hedging slightly, and it'd drive George nuts.

    Apprentice 2

I wouldn't give him total control right off the bat. With a little supervision he would be the ideal candidate. There are no bad habits that other companies have taught him. He's idealistic and motivated because he is so young. Yes, putting him in charge completely would be risky, but surround him with the right people for a little while and you've got a great hire. I believe it would pay off more in the long run. George would call you on that one (he wouldn't add the smiley though). Yes or no?

    Last Comic Standing 3

It MAY have said Ralphie May, but I've got bad eyes, I could be wrong. Can't find the name, but I know I saw the DVD at Best Buy. I was trying all kinds of websites to find it, no dice.

How Amy Poehler got the Weekend Update gig.

Probably not, because Hasselhoff came on the show and said it was true. Okay, he said "Germans love me!!", and it was because Norm wrote it down and told him to say it, but it's not like it was a Nobel Prize-winning theory or anything.

How Amy Poehler got the Weekend Update gig.

It's an injustice that when The Contender finally hits the airwaves, Frank Stallone will be on TV, but Norm won't....

    Apprentice 2

The $250,000 question is: would you then take the risk and put him in charge of one of your companies right off the bat? My answer would be no.

    Apprentice 2

Wow, the women actually won, as John pulled a Kwame and got a designer/artist who was kinda out there with her stuff. And then he froze in the boardroom. And then hedged on his selection of people to take into the boardroom. And note to Trump: People take 2 because while the odds of the PM getting fired rises, there is also one less person to try to make a case against and one less person who may try to build a case against you. So strategically, it makes sense. But it's all about the numbers with Trump, isn't it?

    LOST

See, the first thing I thought was that she was one of those hippies that protests logging by climbing trees to prevent them from being felled. Your theory >> mine. The first thing I thought about with that line was porn. But that's just me. My guess was that he didn't kill the boar, the 'creature' did ... that's why he was so evasive when congratulated on killing the board. Good call. I hadn't thought of that.

    Last Comic Standing 3

That's not exactly a big deal. Jay Mohr has always said that LCS was not about finding "new" comics - it's about giving existing ones more exposure. Which may partially explain his constant slamming of Dat Phan. But if you're talking about conspiracy theories, there's a standup comedy DVD out with Alonzo, Todd Glass, Racist May, Bonnie McFarlane and (I think) Gary Gulman on it. And this came out BEFORE LCS2...
