Good review. Although you missed out on something about the gameplay. EA has already tried a "Fight Club"-ish game with wrestling "rules", and WCW Backstage Assault didn't exactly get high marks with reviewers or the general public, so the shift to more of a fighting game is understandable. I also think you nailed it when you talked about the controls. The rental copy I had had no instructions, so when I popped it in I had a real hard time figuring out what the hell was going on. But the tutorial at the beginning of the game helped sort all that out.

Yeah, it seems like just yesterday when the NBA "Dream On" Team was self-destructing at the Olympics...

Well, they waited exactly 5 issues before retconning the Magneto crap that Morrison left behind, and Bendis is exclusive, so... 18 months.

Seeing as there's no hockey for the next little while, I'm looking forward to the season more than usual. Lots of drama with my boys because of Vince (who I assume will be professional about playing), and an interesting new look with the local team with a Macgrady-Yao combo leading the way...

I don't think that he did the best job with trades, but as a a GM of a lame duck franchise with more limitations than a presidential debate, he did allright...

I'd actually guess the Korean couple if that were the case. As for Locke, a thought popped in my head that he could be a child molester. I got a "Diff'rent Strokes" kinda vibe there...

Hawkeye won't stay dead. He won't come back as quickly as, say, Magneto, but he'll be back among the living soon enough...

Actually, the line goes like this, Star: "We ain't found shit!" You're right, of course. I need to rewatch these things before quoting them...
-
Geez, where do you start? I'll just rattle off a couple: "We can't see shit!!" - Spaceball combing the desert with a pick. No wonder he became a Vulcan... "She's going from suck to blow!"

Rattay was taking reps with the first stringers so he looks to be coming back at sometime during this week's game. He should be an improvement on Dorsey, at any rate. I've got Quinn because I had Grossman, and my keeper league has a FA backup rule which allows me to pick him up. He's likely to be dropped, but still, I'd like to have a look at him before saying that for sure. So Steve/Billy it is. I hate game time decisions.

You might be right. I was just thinking that Vader was never actually a Sith "master", so that probably got me sidetracked...

That'd be like Dat Phan without the Vietnamese thing though...

OK, I've got a Steve McNair issue. My other options are Volek, Tim Rattay and Jonothan Quinn. Quinn is likely dropped after this week, so should I wait to choose between Billy and Steve, or just start Rattay instead?

That's my point. Emeril's is popular more because he uses pork fat and knows how to work an audience than because he's a great chef. I'm sure he's actually pretty good, but I don't think he's nearly as good as he's hyped up to be...

I think that the fat racist black wannabe was about to cry, actually...

If so, then I hope Gene Snitsky shows up...

I'm doing really well so far, eh? [/sarcasm] Picks in bold... Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (3.5) (4.5) Indianapolis at Jacksonville (6.5) New England at Buffalo N.Y. Giants at Green Bay (7.5) (3.5) Oakland at Houston (9.5) Philadelphia at Chicago (3.5) Washington at Cleveland Atlanta at Carolina (3.5) (3.5) New Orleans at Arizona (3.5) Denver at Tampa Bay (6.5) N.Y. Jets at Miami (5.5) Tennessee at San Diego (4.5) St. Louis at San Francisco Kansas City at Baltimore (4.5) I'll keep saying that Tampa scores 13 until I'm right...

He survived because Vader turned on the Emperor. That doesn't happen, Luke's just another dead Jedi apprentice...

Got this as a rental as well, and it's some good fun. The only thing I don't like is that you can only assign Blazin's. I hope AKI corrects this for the next edition. Also, they could've made Danny Trejo a bit more badass, but that's just my opinion...

I really don't see the controversy here. O'Reilly joked about it, Comedy Central realized it, but said that stoners aren't the only ones who watched the show. No big deal, as far as I'm concerned.

If you had said Sisko, then it'd be on. Knowles' site is filled with idiots. And Moriarty. I have nothing left to say.

Coruscant was first used in Heir to the Empire. Before, it was known as Imperial Center, although it was never actually said. Other than that... nothing that I'm aware of. But then again, the majority of the novels happen after ROTJ. It'd be nice to throw the EU fans a bone though. You know, Palpatine finds a young red headed girl or something. The Sith stuff comes from comics, so it doesn't count.

Well, maybe Lucas can make one of Kevin J Anderson's more questionable plot devices (Death Star prototype in a stable pocket near a black hole) make sense. The least he could do, really, since he cribbed the whole Sith history from Anderson's "Tales of the Jedi" comics...

You know, I was just saying to myself, "Self? You know what this show needs? The Kazon. Or Nikki Cox as a Betazed or something." ...also, I should really stop joking around about shows I'm enjoying. Then again, ABC cancelled Karen Sisco last year, and I AM still a bit bitter about that...

Well, I do. Just not in women's clothing... Split personality sounds about right.
