Jeebus, even when she got fired, stalker Jenn still doesn't understand how to shut. the fuck. up. She did a poor job as leader, she brought people into the boardroom for personal reasons, and she got fired for it. It's pretty fricking simple. Man these women irritate me, and next week they get the weakest member of Mosiac, Pamela. Good luck...

I'm guessing, but it's probably that he puts on women's clothing and hangs around in bars...

I hope you took a cold shower...

Hey, good swerve on the prisoner. Didn't expect that one, although I probably should have...

The whole tourney is a good idea, but I think it's leading to a Jarrett/Hardy rematch. Brown will beat Raven, and Hardy will beat Abyss due to some Goldi-ference. Then Raven interferes in Monty-Hardy, and Hardy wins. It does you no good to have Monty job to Jarrett (because really, it hasn't done anyone much good), but programming him with Raven should be a good thing.

Probably all B-Ball players get it on with hoops rats. Well, except for Doug Christie, because his wife probably had a GPS embedded under his skin... But yeah, that was not cool, Kobe. Trying to deflect the heat by blaming others.

"Shadows of the Empire" by Steve Perry (not the guy from Journey) was created as a "bridge" novel between ESB and ROTJ, and has Luke start to come to grips with all the shit thrown at him during ESB. Of course, if you're not into the Expanded Universe like I am, you could look at it this way - Luke got his ass beat and basically got a second chance at life thanks to Leia and Lando. That probably got him to realize that he needed to get his shit together if a) he wanted to become a true Jedi and b) if he wanted to defeat Vader and the Emperor. Here's an unofficial one. The online version is down, but you can download a Word version.

Ralphie especially. Maybe he finally got the message that he's not black. Todd's set was just about exactly how you'd expect it to go. But it was one of those sets where it was so bad, it was great, and it could put him over the top. Gary's set was actually more mean than good-natured slamming, but he getting zingers in on everyone was great. Need to revise my picks to advance, since only the top performer moves on. Should advance (based on last night): Vos and Gulman Will advance: Vos and Bodden Either way, the Final Four will, to use an old phrase, reek of awesomeness...

On my trip to London I saw: Super Size Me (9/10). Man, this was just awesome. A little over-the-top with the experiment, to be sure, but it really makes you think about all the crap we eat. Soul Plane (2/10). It gets a 2 because there a couple of funny lines, plus this was the first time I've ever heard "teabagging" used in a movie. Other than that, it was just really, really bad. It tried to be much more than a standard sight gag movie, and it just doesn't work. Especially if Method Man is one of your main supporting actors.

That, in itself, isn't a big deal. It's the fact that he insists that the current reissues are what he actually envisioned from the beginning that annoys me. If Lucas "envisioned" Greedo shooting first, then he would've done a retake in '77 to do just that. And I'm sure he didn't "envision" a Trooper whacking his head on a doorframe, yet it's still there. And he certainly had no clue what Coruscant would look like - the world wasn't even NAMED until "Heir to the Empire", an EU novel. All Lucas had to say was that he was tinkering with the movies to make them better, and that would pretty much be that as far as I'm concerned - because for all the obvious stupid things (and to be honest, there isn't a giant amount) that Lucas threw in there, the SEs WERE quite nice, and the DVDs are even better. But he didn't, and he insists on propogating this myth that he created about the trilogy, and that's what bothers me most.

I"m assuming that Bryan Gumble is actually Bryan Gamble from RollerJam (and the guy Saturn went stiff on many moons ago). If so, then at least Jarrett's squashing bigger guys instead of lightweights like Shark Boy and D-Ray. I guess they're building to Styles vs Williams at Victory Road. Should be good. Didn't TNA just bring in Inoue? Seems like a colossal waste to job him to dead weight like 3LK...

fwiw, if he says he's putting cute little furry creatures in there, I'll believe it...

Well, the correct people - Dave Mordal and John Heffron - made it through. I predict Geoff and Todd get eliminated, although Alonzo had the weakest set of S2 I thought...

Tess had a good set. "Jay is a girl" doesn't get old for some reason...

Never mind. Jeffrey Ross. Best insult from Triumph so far was the Dat Phan slam...

I missed the name of the Emcee...?

I read exactly two quality Marvel comics - Supreme Power (MAX) and District X (Knights). You don't have to read the Ultimate line to find quality. Speaking of which... I'm SHOCKED. But this isn't a quality book. Great art by Hitch (even if it's always late), but for my money you're better off reading Supreme Power for great art AND story...

Who is the killer or killers in Identity Crisis?
starvenger replied to Vampiro69's topic in Literature
Obviously folks, it's Access... -
I think I remember that one. They go back in time, step on a butterfly, and when they get back everything is greyish and lacks any sort of vibrant colour.

OK, I know I was a bit late with this week's shipping list, but still... EXILES #53 $2.99 I'll get Titans/Legion if it comes out (wasn't on last week's list by the time I posted it...).

Personally, I don't think that the show will be around long enough to phase out the kids...

I'd think Norton could do a pretty good job roasting himself, but that's just me.

I don't think that theatres even make half (most of their revenue comes from concessions) but yeah, I'm thinking that as well.

Resurrecting BDC's comment because that perfectly describes Medstar I: Battle Surgeons by Steve Perry and Michael Reaves. They try to have lots of things happen - Black Sun smuggling, spies, Jedi, a M*A*S*H-type thingie, yet because of this, nothing really happens. Put this one in the "borrow from the library" pile...

You're right about that. I guess that Universal (?) decided that they weren't likely to recoup the budget on Sky Captain, so they released it now, and if it makes it's money due to word of mouth, then it's gravy.
