You might be right about that. In which case I'm still wrong, and

I'm going by words like "curious creative decision", which sounds like they were expecting a new mix, but they weren't expecting reversed channels. And if I'm wrong... well, it's not like that hasn't happened before.

OK, I gotta say that Gruffudd's pose is kinda dorky. Also, I kinda like the Thing's look, but not really. I don't mind the "slimming down" that much but the rubber suit doesn't really look all that great. Maybe it's the scans though. One thing they got right though - Jessica Alba in spandex.

So it seems that without actually saying it (because Heaven forbid that Lucasfilm was wrong about something) they seem willing to change the mix if enough people piss and moan about it.

Lets have a look at what people piss and moan

Kinda confirms what we already know - idiocy is a global thing... -
Seeing as Star Wars is essentially an indy franchise, owned lock, stock and barrel by Lucas, is Lucas blaming... Lucas for the Trilogy not being as good as it could be? The Thrawn novels would rock on the small screen.

I guess it's been 7 years since Dave's World, so it's okay to steal the idea.

Actually the Marvel comic book-based properties (since the 90s anyways) try to keep the continuity. The stories might be one or two part standalones, but they'll have running subplots. Superman and Batman didn't really stick to a strict continuity in that there are running subplots everywhere, but they did seem to be created with an eye towards not contradicting what came before. Justice League seems to be trying to add more continuity, I think. And Teen Titans... well the theme song rules, but I haven't seen much continuity apart from maybe the Deathstroke stuff...

I call bullshit on ever seeing his "true" vision for the movies. Mostly because Lucas seems to have an obsessive need to tinker with the films, and is geek enough to throw shit in there because "it's cool". To him, anyways. Makes sense, because they are his films, but it doesn't mean I'll always like it...

Elongated Man > Plastic Man. Although that's if Sue Dibney's around. Post-Identity Crisis, I don't know if that's still true. Well, if he could shunt Oa to an alternate dimension, I'm sure he could rebuild Tornado. If not, then they could add to that S.T.A.R. Labs subplot they had with Galatea by having them rebuild him. Liked the variation on Kyle's "Ion" outfit. And I think this helps tie up a loose thread in that Superman episode that had Kyle as the GL of Earth. Now, can we get the Legion of Super-Heroes on somehow?

I don't think any of them are Leafs (or Michigan) fans, so they probably don't bleed blue...

Congrats to The Amazing Race for winning the Emmy for "Best Reality Competition". Now, can ABC bring a regular version of The Mole back so that they can have some competition in this category?
-
So far as I know they all bleed red and white.

Wal-Mart will usually use it as a loss leader for a couple of days. If you can snag a flyer with a price on it though, Best Buy will match.

It was bought about a month ago. DDDVD should have it to me sometime next week...

I figured that it was because of the "Dead is Dead (but only if you're Bucky or Uncle Ben)" rule at Marvel...

Didn't catch the "more cowbell" version tonight (bar hopping or tv at home... easy decision) - anything important happen?

Cool, but it's starvenger. Staravenger's the other guy.

OK caught a matinee of it. I didn't think that this movie was great, but it was definitely enjoyable. It seemed like the writer/director was going for a serial-type feel, and it worked to an extent - the action scenes with the plane gave off that vibe, but once they were out of it, it was generic action-adventure all the way. Anyways, I was impressed with the way the actors were really into the movie, despite the whole thing being shot on soundstages with bluescreens. The enthusiasm and emotion that they showed really allowed you to immerse yourself into their world. I also liked the "look" of the movie. Aside from a few sequences (and you'll know them when you see them) it didn't really feel like a "bluescreen" movie. Again, this might also be attributed to the actors, but the backgrounds and cgi looked credible, too. Finally, was it me or was Jolie's character an homage to Nick Fury?

Well, if it was said on the Today Show, then it MUST be true...

I'm pretty sure I saw him with the cane right before the argument about who gets to eat breakfast. Someone else told me that as well. I sit corrected...

I actually haven't seen Jackie Brown yet, which is kinda weird since I'm into Elmore Leonard. So I voted for Pulp Fiction.

I don't think anyone would disagree with you on that. Just revisiting this, but I think that, in a situation where you are running YOUR company, putting your neck out on the line like that is par for the course. The flaw in Bradford's logic was that he'd be running one of TRUMP's companies, and he's unwilling to have too much of a risktaker on board (see McLain, Troy vs Jackson, Kwame). Thus, "you're fired", and someone's gonna have to ferry Bradford's wardrobe over to Sequesterville. I still think Trump was petty though, and fired him in the heat of the moment. And I still believe that the women are screwed. Protege last year were very decisive, and Apex this year just want to make lists for everything. What kind of flavour was Red Velvet supposed to be anyways? Switching gears, does anyone else think that Raj has a chance to go the top 8? Between last ep and this one, he really seems to have loosened up a bit. And lost the cane (which can't hurt).
