    Last Comic Standing 3

Rich must've really been preparing hard for the show - he's a lot less orange than usual...

    Last Comic Standing 3

Too much time to setup the joke, really. And they were old standards, to boot.

Bonnie McFarlane decided she didn't want to come back...

    Last Comic Standing 3

Anyone else watching? I'm not familiar enough with season 1 but it looks like they've set up Jessica "PUT ME IN THE HOWWWSE" Kirson to do the job this week...

    Astonishing X-Men #4...DAAAYUMMM!

Its okay to not like Firefly, so long as you don't bash others for liking it. **cough**Vyce**cough** Nah, I wouldn't do that. I prefer to bash the show...

    John Byrne

I agree with Steviekick on this one. The one thing you can't take away from Byrne is that his artwork still looks good. But if you want him to write something good, he needs to be able to find that project on his own.

    New Avengers Lineup Announced

I don't know what you're talking about. Liefeld's run had all of that, except for the terrific stories, great sub-plots, badass villains and awesome art... ...oh wait, nevermind.

Who has a fantasy football team?

Someone has a hardon for McNabb. I mean, OK, he'd be gone before the draft came back around, but still... And Manning at 14th (10 or 12 team league?) is a steal.

    Another Iron-Man streak

True. Still, Cheek is a class act and it's good that the Jays have recognized him for being there all these years. So, when does Jerry Howarth get his name up there?

Who has a fantasy football team?

Keeper League Les Rous de Montreal (Montreal Kangaroos nee Poutine) QB: McNair, Grossman, Rattay WR: Rod Gardner, David Givens, Tyrone Calico, Michael Jenkins, Brandon Stokley RB: Tiki, Brian Westbrook, Marshall Faulk, Warrick Dunn, Josh Scobey TE: Tony Gonzalez, Jerramy Stevens K: Vanderjagt, John Hall D: Green Bay, New Orleans O: Jets Kick Returns: Lions I'm not really liking this team. I did well last year (1st overall regular season) on the strength of McNair and Vanderjagt, but luck only takes you so far, as it pretty much killed my picks this year. This team is, to put it mildly, high on "upside" but low on proven ability. Office League (yahoo) Canadian Destroyers (hey it fits a fantasy team name better than a piledriver...) This is the league I had posted about previously, picking from the 8th slot in a 10 team league. QB: Tom Brady, Carson Palmer WR: Joe Horn, Darrell Jackson, Javon Walker, Justin McCareins, Drew Bennett RB: Clinton Portis, Shaun Alexander, Rudi Johnson, Warrick Dunn, Moe Williams TE: LJ Smith K: Josh Brown, John Carney D: Miami Much happier with this one. Some picks were unusual (there was a run on TEs in the 6th round), and one guy ended up with Harrison/R Moss, but I stuck with my gameplan (didn't grab a D, K or TE until the 10th) and I think I've got a pretty solid core of players. And Warrick Dunn. Also, this is the first draft I've been in that took place over FIVE DAYS. I drafted for 8 rounds, had to put a list together to do the next 6, and came back for the last 2. On top of that, I helped my buddy pick out of the #2 slot. He may have gotten some better picks.
  11. Anyone know where I can find an animated gif of this? I've got a friend who doesn't get FSN, and has a hard time visualizing moves, so figuring that picture = 1000 words, and ani gif might be the best way to go...
  12. Tracie was a really good looking girl with a great body, but that hair had to go. I wouldn't have voted her off because of it, but if she won, I would hope they change it. I hope so as well. She could do better than the Mel B (you know, Scary Spice) look. No, Joy's the one in the white top

    Petey Williams' Canadian Destroyer

The faster it's done, the more fake it looks, but I suppose that it's also safer. I do agree with that. But Styles adjusted his moveset to account for bigger opponents, so I'm sure that if Williams moves up, he would as well.

    New 3 Live Kru member

Oddly enough, I was gonna say something like that. Not having ever gotten the PPVs, I still don't know if the guy can wrestle, and have to put up with seeing the same "charismatic" BS he was doing back on Velocity/Metal.
  15. Dude, her BUTT can eat things... Of course she has it in the bag. Imagine the skits! Plus the future owner of WWE and the unofficial Master and Ruler of Raw is a big time Ass-Man. Which probably explains Billy Gunn's gimmick and his continued employment...

    Settle it for me

2K5 was the pick of this duffer. I'm not a huge video football gamer, so for me it came down to this - both games are good in their own right (according to various mags), and if there are subtle differences in gameplay I probably won't notice them anyways, so it comes down to price. And since it's priced like a Greatest Hits title, I chose 2K5.
  18. Well - you know - people, like, do kinda - you know? - talk like that. But I agree. That's why I made the "secondhand information" remark there. Maybe the girl was in fact at the club, but she wasn't right there to witness the catfight.

    Could this Egyptian Olympian

I thought German suplex WAS a freestyle term. I've heard it used before, I think.
  20. Thanks to Takashi on the cmgsccc.com message board for the source. (1) So Garcia goes from being called gay... sorry, ALLEGED to be gay, to some sort of mack daddy? (2) Isn't that newspeak for "secondhand information"? (3) So bouncers can't restrain a 110lb woman? I'm not sure if this is good press or bad press for Tramps...

    Superman:TAS Vol 1 and Batman:TAS VOl 2

It should be on the Superman:TAS sets, most likely Vol 2 since "World's Finest" is listed on the Superman episode guide I believe that "World's Finest" was also released on a standalone DVD, which probably works better for me since I'm not a huge fan of Big Blue...

USA Mens Basketball team defeats Spain

Speaking of basketball, I just saw a debate between Screamin' A Smith and Michael Irvin about Olympic hoops vs preseason football. My question is - what did I do to deserve this?

    Petey Williams' Canadian Destroyer

I don't buy the recliner as a legitimate submission. Why can't the guy just wriggle out of the move? Styles Clash on the other hand (I witnessed it firsthand, Billy Gunn version nonetheless), and the move doesn't really offer assistance by the opponent other than falling down to get in position. And the opponent doesn't flip down along with AJ. He just guides them down. The Destroyer REQUIRES help from the opponent in pulling it off. It's the same as the Acid Drop, people help guide Spike Dudley across the turnbuckle and down. The point I was trying to make is that we know that the wrestlers aren't trying to hurt each other, yet we disregard that and treat it like a legitimate competiton. So really, it shouldn't matter whether it takes both people to make a move look good, as long as the performance is good, y'know?
