Joe Schmoe 2 Premiers Tuesday June 15th on Spike!

This is true, but it was total Matt. I mean, you go into the show feeling sorry for the guy because he's such a mark, and in the end you're rooting for him. If he went crazy like Bryce it'd be a better ending, but it wouldn't give you the warm and fuzzies. I also think that the $100K + trips dampened the anger somewhat... -
'Zo - 9.5 Killed whatever Heffron missed.
-
Tammy - 6 Still not funny. And I think Boston Rob was Sicilian.
-
Kathleen - 8 I felt that she really connected with the audience.
-
John - 9.5 Killed.

So far, I've got: Jay 7.5 Gary 8 I'm not comparing Jay to last week btw. He did MUCH better this time. The self-depreciation stuff didn't sound as bitter, as I think Jay now realizes that people do, in fact, like him.

I think so too. I honestly think that they're manipulating the footage to make all of us want Tim to ditch the whole Piper thing and go with Amanda at the end. If they are, they're doing one heck of a job at it. It's possible. I mean, my feeling for a while has been Austin and Piper hooking up, so if that happens, they're available... -

Speaking of terrible, the Smirnoff Ice here in the States is horrible. At least in Canada they actually use, you know, VODKA in their drink. It still tastes super sweet, but at least it's the real stuff... -

He did a really good job letting the "anger" simmer until he hit the breaking point. Great stuff... -

Does anyone else think that Tim and Amanda would make a pretty good couple? -

I still think we should call it a "Hutch Finish"... -

I was just in DC this weekend actually. You will be shocked - SHOCKED I say - to find out that I saw neither Tim nor Amanda nor Ingrid there. I do highly recommend having drinks at the Sky Terrace at the Hotel Washington though - it's a bit pricey ($5 for a beer) but the view of the Washington Monument area and the planes coming into DCA is amazing... -
Problem is that will take HOURS. I actually don't find heads up play that interesting. All of those events are flimed so far in advance that I know who won, so the drama isn't seeing who won, but how they did it. Fox did a live poker broadcast a couple weeks ago, people said good things about it. They had a 5 minute delay, that that seemed to work. At something like the WSOP, I'm not sure that would work, or that the pros would be OK with it. The Fox broadcast was pretty cool, EXCEPT when they got to the final two of D'Agostino and Ivey. Heads up is like a soccer match - there's a lot of back and forth, with spurts of attacking. Except that in soccer you can really get caught up in it because the fans are going nuts for 90+ minutes. You don't get that in poker, and so all the back-and-forth pots become tedious. wrt Moneymaker he seems to be the type to play the person more than the cards, which can get him in trouble and almost knocked him out a few times last year. I've played exactly one home game for money and I've learned a very valuable lesson from that - I shouldn't play for money after a night of drinking and going to tittie bars. I've yet to hit the onlines for tourneys, but I probably will soon. For now it's still the free limit games, and playing mah jong for money...

THANK YOU. I was trying to figure that one out... -
The cool part about DS9 was that it was much darker and was more character driven. Not that TNG was less, but the DS9 characters were much more different when compared to each other. There was a lot of hate for DS9 simply because it wasn't really "true" to the Trek vision. There are grey characters, most of the drama takes place on a space station, too much religion etc. Likely, but the DS9 Mirror Universe wasn't too bad. Hey, you can't really complain about Evil Lesbian Kira, right?

Weekend Boxoffice Report July 30-Aug 1

I think it's destined to be a video cult classic, so there's no real worry about it "bombing". As the "anti-blockbuster" that was counter-programmed against the blockbuster and the semi-blockbuster (Manchurian Candidate), it would have done a lot better if one of those movies had gotten unfavourable reviews. The good news about Catwoman is that it's pretty much dead. The bad news is that someone will rationalize it by saying "$30 mil for an action movie with a female lead really isn't that bad"... -
Do this, and everyone will think you're Howard Mackie...
-
Hence, Jay = John Stevens. Except that Jay is better at his profession, and John looks more freakish.
-
Hey, he's a local boy, right? That's good for at least one more goal...
-
Yes it has. The Village is currently running at 45%. Meanwhile, Harold and Kumar have had as many rotten reviews (13) as Catwoman had positive ones.
