Why Brandon thought Nicole could eat a bowl of Caviar is beyond me. Mirna's had about 20 moments on this show so far where she needs to be slapped...

Understandable, man. I voted for ANT...
-
So, a maximum of 3 votes per phone line/IP address/text message thingie. I wonder if that's an offhanded slam at American Idol?
-
Todd Glass - 7.5/10 Really up and down I thought. Based on voting for the funniest, I think I have to vote for ANT. Shoot me now...
-
ANT - 9/10. Hate to say it, but it was a great set...
-
Man, he's too self-depreciating. If he didn't do that his set would be a lot better. 8/10. -1 for the "please like me, I suck" stuff. The crowd was digging him as it was, there was no need for it.
-
I really hope he does good...
-
Bonnie - 6.5/10. Funnier than Corey, but I think she's funnier when she's bitchy.
-
First up - Corey Holcombe. I'll give him 6/10. Not particularly funny, but told some good stories.

Got this yesterday at Fry's ($18 until Friday) for PS2 but only opened it today (had to try Karaoke Revolution 2 first). I'm very impressed, and it definitely lives up to the hype. Believe me, for $20 you can't go wrong.

The first time I saw "Grimlock's New Brain", I was on vacation in Hong Kong and the dialogue was in Cantonese. Let's just say that was interesting, and in English or Chinese I still don't give a crap about the Compubots. BTW, Brawn wasn't smart enough to brace himself from the cannon's recoil. Or maybe he wasn't strong enough and Megatron's more of a bad mofo than we originally thought.
-
This is what you'd think, but since his name never appeared in the mausoleum during "The Return of Optimus Prime" some fans insist that he isn't dead, which personally I think is silly. I mean, everyone else on that shuttle died, why not Brawn. He, Grimlock strongest Autobot.

I don't know if Shatner can top the brilliance that was his cover of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" but I guess we'll see...

So... who goes next? And will the Twins finally give LPM what he wants, and hug? From the looks of things the Pizza Boys are the most likely candidates to go, but I think that it'll be Chip and Kim...

Joe Schmoe 2 Premiers Tuesday June 15th on Spike!

I disagree. If anything the show's writers have given up any semblence of a coherent storyline with the way that they've brought almost everyone back and the fact that they've been focusing too heavily on characters who are pretty much one-dimensional (most notably TJ and Cammy). I think that yesterday was really the first time that they really focused on TJ. For the most part, Tim, Bryce and Gerald have been in the forefront of the guys. Cammy is quite obviously their "Molly" for the season, where they try to have her "break out" of her stereotypical shell. They probably should have focused on Elanor more, but well the blonde with the tits will probably garner better ratings. Anyways, I say it's coherent because you can see what they're trying to build to. Tim gets booted because Austin feels that he's a threat to his reconciling with Piper (which is the logical ending to the show at this point). You throw in the silliness like Bryce coming back and "Porked and Beans" because while making this story they're still trying to spoof other reality shows. I disagree, if only because Tim has stayed pretty much low-key while the writers have had to dedicate most of their time and energy towards Ingrid that we haven't seen much of him to care about what happens to him. I gotta disagree with you there. The whole idea of this show is to show things that happen to the marks, so aside from the morning meetings and the occasional asides (like the "post-game interviews" with Gerald and TJ) you get to see things as the Schmos see them. Yes, in the beginning they were more focused on preventing Ingrid from figuring things out, but once that storyline ran it's course there has been a heavy focus on Tim, which has helped us understand the kind of guy he is. -
I'm still trying to figure out the Collective Man. Isn't he just one guy who can summon the strength of all the people in China? I didn't think he was another Madrox. Or is this another "secondary mutation"? BTW, Peter Milligan is the new writer on X-Men. Which should be interesting, seeing as he admits to not being a big reader of the books...

family guy introduced by Macfarlane
starvenger replied to AmericanDragon's topic in Television & Film
Is is odd that when you said McFarlane that I thought "what does Todd McFarlane have to do with Family Guy"? -
No, I got you there. It's just that after years of following the X-Men, I'm used to the concept of the retcon (RETroactive CONtinuity, for those of you unfamiliar with the term), so a plot device like the Matrix doesn't bother me that much. Now, if they had done a retcon on the level of Superman (after Crisis) and said that Orion Pax never existed in the cartoon, then I'd have some issues with it.

I'm impressed with how they're trying to keep a coherent storyline, while injecting all the silliness into the show. And it's funny how, now that 2 people have come back, we're not only thinking Tim will be back, but EXPECTING it. The fact that he's one of the "stars" notwithstanding. It could be. Or it could just be because he's been living in a vacuum, where cameras are trained on him all the time. Anyways, I think that we all agree that Tim is no MKG, but I think that they did well in casting him, as you really do care about what happens to him. Amanda, not so much. But I'd still hit it... -
The very fact that they felt that Showgirls needed to be double dipped is hilarious...
-
Man, if you didn't like that retcon, I'd hate to see how you dealt with the use of Primus (from Marvel's TF comics) in Beast Wars...

Yes, they do, but Petey Williams "Canadian Destroyer" finisher looks both cool and incredibly fake at the same time. It's about as believable as Killings axe kick looking vicious. Yeah, but a finisher is basically meant to just pop a crowd right? Well, that move pops a crowd even though it looks fake as hell. Fake as hell sure, but damn awesome to see. I had to stop and rewind four times seeing that move for the first time. It's like "how the hell..." and that is exactly what you want for a finisher. I hope you were talking about the Canadian Destroyer. I do agree with you about popping the crowd, but I just wish there was some way to come up with a believable finisher with the same "WTF?" feeling as the Destroyer. I wonder if there's a way to do a MDK piledriver (which I suppose is simply a top rope Destroyer) safely?
-
If they did that, then they might as well call the movie "Transformers: Alternators". Not that there's anything wrong with Alternators. They're actually pretty badass, and go well with the 20th Anniversary Prime. Anyways, I think that this movie will be fanboyishly awesome, but otherwise, will bomb something fierce. So from a realist point of view I'm setting the bar low and hoping that this will be better than Daredevil. And preparing myself for the 24/7 onslaught of media types saying that the movie will suck...

And speaking of which, even though he's one of the stars of the promotion, I won't complain about the lack of Killings on my TV. More AJ Styles + Less Killings = OK in my book. Tiger Suplex into a Styles Clash? Is that even possible? Hopefully my VCR actually works today...
