Absolutely nothing. But he did do the never-seen movie (created on a severe shoestring to protect the rights to the property). The point was that internet comics fans like complaining about stuff as much as internet wrestling fans. If it's not close to Lee and Kirby's story, they're gonna be upset about it. I wasn't saying that people didn't have good arguments, but it's stuff like "hey Alba's not a blonde, therefore this will suck" that really irritates me. Especially since these are the same people that will praise this movie once it comes out.

That's pretty much along the same lines. You create something, it explodes. Jubilee CAN create massive explosions (like in that Mandarin-Psylocke storyline) but she's never been able to control them at that level. Meltdown has. And I can't say I really cared for Dazzler much either, aside from the Fall of the Mutants storyline (she had a mask grafted onto her face. Or she was blinded. It's a bit fuzzy right now). Or Shatterstar, who I think had to be retconned because Liefeld drew him with 5 fingers (it's a rather complicated story for non-comic fans, I won't get into that here).

Just so you know that the IWC isn't the only place where people bitch and moan about things, check out the Newsarama boards where they apparently hate Jessica Alba, Tim Story, Roger Corman and anything to do with this movie.

Haven't watched SG-1, but Atlantis intruiges me. I'll tape the first ep and see how that goes. "The 4400" has also caught my interest. Kinda X-Files meets X-Men, in a way.

Define similar: I thought that Jubiliee's powers were defined as being able to generate subatomic explosions (I seem to remember that from the Phalanx storyline), whereas Dazzler's power is to turn sound into light. Jubilee's powers are more like Boom-Boom/Meltdown's in that she generates "plasmoids" that explode on her command. Dazzler's powers are exactly what you said. Sound into light, including lasers. If you read Anglesault's post, her powers are actually more like Havok, Bishop or even Strong Guy's - absorb something, and then release it as some sort of energy blast (or in Strong Guy's case, brute power).

I think it was actually closer to 200 when she joined. Gambutt's first appearance was about #266, and she was around for "Fall of the Mutants" which came before that. Can't remember if she was a member during Inferno or the Mutant Massacre though. I'd say that the most important role she had was in the 6-person video game (which incidentally was one of the best side-scrolling hack-n-slashes ever). As for a brief cameo, I don't mind that, so long as it doesn't turn into a full time role. The franchise has done pretty well so far without stunt casting, and I don't really expect that to change. And as for Singer, he's going to be writing around 12 issues of Ultimate X-Men. I'd say he's become fully obsessed. Or maybe he wants an excuse to hang around Sir McKellen and Cumming, I dunno.

Oh, Sin City will be f'n great. Rodriguez has put together a stellar cast for the various stories. AND he withdrew from the Director's Guild specifically so that Frank Miller could get a co-director's credit (and supposedly Tarantino will direct a segment as well). Johnny's younger than Sue Stornm btw. Age-wise he'd be a couple of years older than Peter Parker.

Let's go with that premise. They do a Joe Schmo 3 - what do they spoof? - They've already done Survivor-type game shows and reality dating, so those are out. - Road Rules/The Amazing Race/Beg Borrow and Deal? Much too hard to control. - The Real World? That's already a parody of itself. - Plastic Surgery shows? A bit TOO extreme, I think. - Renovation shows? A possibility, but I'd have no idea how you could spin it into a Joe Schmo-type show. - American Idol/Making The Band? Bingo. Granted, we had the whole "Superstar USA" thing, but this would be more an "Karaoke singer gets a recording contract" type thing. Call it "Lounge Lizards" (because they seem to like using L's in their fake show titles) or something and throw them in a house together, eliminating one person each week in a "karaoke-off". You can have the Diva, the flamboyant gay Diva, White Girl with Soul, the Token Minority, and John Stevens. What, you think he couldn't do karaoke? Ralph, of course, would get the "Simon" role.

I think NewsRadio ended at the right time. Phil's death seemed to linger over the other actors. They gave it a go without Phil, but it didn't work. Really, you can't bring it back without Phil there. It's like bringing back SCTV without John Candy...

Really, I have no doubts that 2K5 will be a good game, so I'll be buying it over Madden (since I have no brand loyalty, and I'm cheap). I wonder what it means for their bottom line though. Also, if this does well, will this mean that EA will lower their retail price next year?

I'm not saying that there aren't any other types in the WWE, but they've already got 3 pneumatic blondes (although I'll admit to being a Trish fan), ya know? Not that I have anything against boobs or blondes either. It's just that both the WWE and Playboy have a fetish for them (although I'm impressed that Playboy has had two consecutive PMOY that are neither, um, top heavy nor blonde). And Carmella's pretty hot, but I would put being Playmate of the Year over some crappy WWE diva gig. She's not going to wrestle (at least, I pray she doesn't), apparently she can't act, and most everyone has already seen her naked, twice. How the hell are they going to use her? If you subscribe to the Cyber Club, you've seen her naked three times - she was a Cyber Girl of the Week. Personally I think she's the hottest PMOY in some time. Not that that has anything to do with pro wrestling, mind you. And as for what might derail her chances of winning... well, she's not a pneumatic blonde. The WWE doesn't have enough of those, although Bobbi Billard might contend otherwise...

Good shows like... Whoopi? Let's face it, there's crap across the board. It's not just limited to reality shows.
